Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am anxiously waiting for Beyond ATC to come out and really don't want to buy another program in the interim but, I am really at my wits end with MS ATC. I kind of been out of FS due to familial obligations but over the past couple weeks I have purchased some new hardware and software for it and have been getting back into it as time allows. I fly primarily commercial trying to fly real world routings however, I have only been able to complete 1 flight out of maybe 10 with complete MS ATC sounds. The ATC sound will cut out shortly after takeoff. I use FS-ATC chatter, GSX pro, and FSLTL. I have my copilot handle comms while I fly. Although MS ATC has its shortcomings, it …

I just noticed that the Gardner, MA VOR (GDM 110.6) is not working in my sim. Can someone check to see if they can tune it and get a signal? Thanks, Rich

Does the aircraft have a functioning autopilot?... I am aware of the "mode" selector near the yoke, but the autopilot switch doesn't work...all the other switches work but without the autopilot switch working they are worthless...help please... John Helms

I've checked the subject and people have reported increased freezings after update 14. I, however never experienced such. However after applying all the recent mods(frame generation for all RTX cards, adaptive LOD and newest dlss.dll), my sim freezes IF IT'S LEFT INTACT for prolonged times on autopilot! It can happen even on the first screen where you choose flight if you leave it stay like that!!!!!! If i, however pilot the plane or look around using the TrackIR or at least move the mouse, it's all hunky dory and tickety boo!? Beats me! Anybody else, or does anybody sees any logic in it? It seems as if some of my little pixel pilots have walked out. I have various aircraft now apparently flying themselves in outside view. Not all, only some, but I can't figure it out. Sure they had them before (e.g. VL-3) but not now. Checked the options and still showing default pilot character, and where the option is given on the "weights" menu bar choice I've tried putting 170lbs in there, but nothing. Don't think I've clicked anything unusual anywhere, and don't have any add-on avatars on the system, so anybody got any suggestions? ..to bring all that fixed stuff from the inibuilds A300-600 over to the A310-300 to give the A310 the standard that the A300 now have ? Now this isn't anymore a inibuilds thing but Asobo/MS for shure could force an update from inibuilds if all the updates for the A300 are ready out ( as from the forum there are some more for the A300 ) So please Asobo/MS go for a update for the A310 because a lot of things need to be fixed !! 🤔 cheers 😉

I downloaded V2 and placed everything in a NEW Folder on my desktop and installed V2. Successful. Then I click it and nothing happens....I do see it in Task Manager. So now what.... Do start up Ms2020 and I click to V2 everytime I start the sim or just forget about it and whenever I Start the Sim it also automatically runs in the back ground?

Hi, With MSFS2020, is there a way to make an aircraft invisible in the external view? I'm using Wideview on a second pc and would like to do some testing. For example, can we modify the textures or the model so as not to see the plane? Thank you Christian

Need some help. After installing the most recent version of REX AccuSeasons Advanced Edition (Tech Update 2.0) and trying to apply an existing preset (still Autumn, my choice) I cannot get a single file downloaded with the Application that have a different size than 0 kb, for vegetation and terrain. Totally unusable for me. I don't really know what it could possibly happening.

Hey everyone, Last year, I did use Xplane-11 Aerobask's freeware DR-401 for Pilotedge (with VR) and it was fantastic experience. As the plane is simple enough to use with G1000 and I could focus on Pilotedge Training (CAT exercises). I am looking for a similar plane which has simple controls but is realistic flight dynamics (G1000 with all the charts) and has open canopy design like the DR-401. I have FSReborn Sting but for some reason in VR the display is further away and this as expected with the original aircraft design. In DR-401, the screen is very close to the pilot. I have a question about hardware; currently, I’m running a 46” widescreen monitor with an AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT processor. Is this suitable to running a 4K monitor and if so, would I see a drop in FPS?

Howdy, I hope someone can help here this is annoying! I have tried to get on the FSDT user forum but its password reset does not work, and I've already asked the dev to try to fix this, to no avail, so I ask here. This is in the PMDG 738. I do have my Simbrief User Name (alias) correctly input into GSX settings page. The really strange part is every once in a while indeed the correct loads populate when I request boarding in GSX, but 90% of the time it's always the same: 8 pax into first class, 108 or something like that into economy, and always 9,000lbs or so lbs of cargo. Any ideas where to look??

Hello, Folks! This topic has been discussed already. Maybe I did not pay much attention to it but now I want to fix the issue but don;t know how. There are some types of clouds which look perfect. But there are some types of storm clouds which all look pixelated. Also, there are some types of clouds which look good but only the edges are pixelated. Is there any work around to eliminate or at least reduce that pixelisation? In my setting cfg the film grain set to 0. Thanks in advance!

I would like to see my landing how good or bad it was. In p3d v5, there was an instant replay. In msfs 2020, I free download/installed a recorder from flightsim.to. But I don't know how to use the camera in the title. I saw some video in yt. But not very comprehensive like a person like me. What is EXTERNAL, SHOWCASE, DRONE LOCK, DRONE FOLLOW? I am totally confused! Could please some body help me? I just want to record my landing approach. And see it from outside or tower, which is better to judge my landing. as I took the dive with GSX, is it possible to have the 737/7&8 without ground equipment? Would like to use GSX equipment. I know in the FMS I can save a panel state without stairs. But mostly the exit on the aft is not used etc. Is this the only way?

I'm getting back into GSX and was getting ready for a flight from FSDT KORD. When I got into the plane, I got a message from GSX saying "Airport was disabled for this scenery" or something along those lines. I don't think I switched anything off or disabled anything and since FSDT made GSX and the scenery i was using, i didn't understand why i got that message. Any ideas what I could have turned off?

Hello, so I am finally getting a computer of running the game properly. I can sorta run the game now, but my GPU is just under the minimum and it's not the best. Anyway now that I can really start playing the game I was wondering what Scenery add-ons you would recommend? I'm not looking for specific airports, but just general scenery to enhance cities/regions. I already use the map enhancement tool, which I think populates the in game scenery with more recent imagery. Thanks

Somehow, I got an undesirable landing light, and it probably came with an addon purchased over the holiday sales. The new one has points so it looks like a star when turned on and I don't like it. Anyone know how I can get back the original? Thanks, LouP
