Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I just bought the Carenado Cessna T207A Stationair from the MarketPlace in MSFS. It is a good looking and flying plane, but it only has one NAV Radio. (NAV 1) Most planes have two including all my other default Cessna and addon Cessnas. I thought this might be a mistake, so I contacted Carenado and they confirmed there is only one NAV Radio in this plane. I would love for someone who has the skills (I have none) to come up with a mod adding the second radio, NAV2, to the plane. I am guessing the aircraft and panel cfg files have to be modified and the view of the panel changed somewhat to accommodate a second CDI gauge. Would anyone who also owns this plane and has the kn…

I just acquired the bird...i cannot, after diligent search, find the main Autopilot botton,,,i am aware the the plane has an autopilot display with all the usual switches, except the main autopilot one....help please... John Helms

Hey all, I have encountered a bew for a few times already when trying to activate datas. First, MSFS keeps disconnecting datas for no reason (no internet disconnection, 1GB/s fiber...). When trying to reconnect datas from general settings, MSFS instantly crashes. If anyone shares the same problem, I'd like to know if you have some feedback. Thanks.

Hello, I'm using the Ms Icon A5 to fly over villages around home, and record some videos. I display waypoints (villages I want to fly over) so that people know where they are : villages names are displayed ! Problem : waypoints disappear much before being over villages, and next waypoint is displayed too early ! Can we keep waypoints a bit longer on screen before switching to the next one ? Thanks in advance.

When I start the Baron, Batt ON, ALT ON, Avionics On, Everything turns on except the ALT/VS Speed gauge. It's not lighting up. Any ideas why this ne gauge is not lighting up? hanks Walt

In a few days I will be making a major computer upgrade (basically replacing everything but the case, VC and some optical drives). With all 3 drives being replaced I will be cloning them. The major concern is what will happen to MSFS under this scenario? Will I need to make any adjustments or should it start up "out of the box"?

I think one of the most important things to attract third parties into the market place would be to offer piracy protection, like online check services for every addon. This would make really worth even 30% commission. Not only they'll have a huge new audience, and uncrackable software = $$$$ every addon should be bound to microsoft account and checked on launch

Hey folks, I have upgraded to AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d which is really, worth every penny! Now, I decided to give full Windows reinstall and with that MSFS will be reinstalled. I know community folder can be copied, even the Official folder to save on the download times? But what concerns me is the keyboard and control mapping and settings, will those be backed up my xbox account? I don't lost those and spend days and weeks to reconfigure things lol Thanks!

Tried all sorts of experimenting to control the fans on my current 3090ti (MSI afterburner, Fan Speed Control etc) and no matter what I do I still end up with at least regular bursts (every second or so) of max fan activity that is driving me nuts. I'm running DX12, DLSS (auto), and have TLOD-300 and OLOD-200. I used to have the same settings with my Titan RTX (card before this) and the fans there were never as noisy. So two questions - anybody else running a 3090ti happily but quietly? And second, is the 4090 a noisy b*gger? I might replace the 3090 with a 4090 with an AIO cooler package, but I don't want to spend a whole bundle on that and end up even worse of…

Just started up MSFS and that really annoying intro music was playing (strange as I'd turned all the music off in settings!). Then it starts saying it's detected game controllers (strange as I've not added any new ones since using it last night!). Then it asks me to set accessibility options, asks me to calibrate game controllers etc and I realise it's reset everything, I mean EVERYTHING (graphics settings, sound settings, absolutely everything!!!) without me asking it to. I'm already struggling with this sim, but how does this happen?! I've spent hours and days trying to get things set up properly.

Yes, it's a strange question, but I have to ask it: is it there a way to improve the default offline ground textures and autogen? I was thinking about something similar to Orbx Global+Buildings for FSX and P3D, so that I could enjoy MSFS while my connection is down. I have the Robinson R44 in MSFS, but I can't get it to fly. It's totally started and rotors are moving normally, but I can't seem to figure out what I need to do to get it to lift off. Unlike my FS9 and FSX years, I am now running the current sim in a (i7 1265+RTX 3050) laptop. There is this anxiety that laptop is somewhat "fragile" to run about 5 or more hour flight. Is being anxious reasonable? I am considering getting a decent cool pad but I doubt it would significantly help. Has anyone ever had issues when pushing laptops in continuous flight? ...purportedly big gains in performance coming in MSFS 2024 to greatly enhanced cloud density/resolution/depiction/morphologies. Variety and morphology has been improved to a degree in recent updates, but the basics still missing surround low resolution voxel grids that can only be tweaked so much. For me, cloud depiction does not not match the quality of ortho scenery. I think with modern hardware we have now it should be possible to make substantial gains in this area. I would value this w/ slider control over any other changes present in the 2024 release. This arrival into KSEA was quite nice but reminds me of how much I would love to see higher resolution clouds…

Hi. I love the MSFS CJ4 but why does it veer/bank violently left to right on approach trying to find the LOC on an ILS landing? I'm following the guidelines, tuning is fine, the LOC1 is PRESET and the LOC diamond moves to the centre of the PFD but the moment I hit that APP button on final it goes completely crazy and banks all over the place and only stabilises when I'm about 5m from TD. Am I hitting APP too early? Should I wait until just before FF? Any advice gratefully received!

While it's in very early stages of development, the developers are very active and rolling out updates frequently. I have a 7950X3D CPU and it is recommended to set the gamebar entry for MSFS to remember this is a game, which will hopefully tell windows to use just the VCache cores in MSFS. Problem is there is no option to set this for MSFS in the gamebar. It is present for other programs but simply doesnt appear for MSFS. Anyone else come across this?

Hello everyone, I've been experiencing persistent freezing issues for several months now. The freezes are quite long, sometimes lasting several minutes. They occur both within the simulator interface before a flight is embarked upon and after an aircraft has been loaded. What's peculiar about these freezes is that they're reminiscent of what happens when I connect or disconnect a device via a USB port - everything stalls momentarily, only in this case, the halt lasts much longer (from 2 to 5 minuts).
