Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have purchased the 10 CDs for the Microsoft flight simulator standard game for pc but cd 1 won't read to install I've contacted a company called Aerosoft and they have sent me a new cd1 out for the game I've tried this and it's still won't read the disc I have a brand new pc I have even tried cd2 and that work fine it reads the information on the disk it's just cd 1 is this a popular thing for this game and any help would be great alsonove true to copy the cd to desk top to see if that will let me install the game but nope

I just noticed that for some reason if I adjust the Terrain and Object Level of Detail Sliders then "Apply & Save" of course, they stay that way for my flight. BUT when I restart MSFS they revert back to where they were previously. Is this normal? Is there something else I need to do to keep them from reverting? Thanks. Dave

With default aircraft, I can select an axis from my HOTAS in the Controls - Misc - Nose Wheel Steering Axis setting and once validated, the white bar below the axis setting moves showing it is recognised as an axis and the NWS works correctly in the sim. However, I have now spent several hours trying to figure out why this does not work in PMDG 737. I have just checked with FBW 320 and found the same problem. i have also found that ONLY with those addon aircraft, when I select an axis, the setting is not recognised as an axis ie the white bar is frozen and does not react to inputs. I have ensured no other settings are set to the same axis, I have tried 3 differ…

I've had the "VHF signal Degradation" option enabled since I installed MSFS. I've never actually heard a "degraded" transmission. Until now. Just started KDEN-KLAS and while sitting at the gate, some aircraft called ATC and it had static and an overall degraded sound. It was actually pretty realistic. But why was that the 1st one I've ever heard like that? Did they update something yesterday?

I noticed MSFS only lets you assign a key to Autothrottle DISable. Shouldn't there also be an option to ENable AT...?

So I was wandering around a small local shop called Walmart earlier today and they had a Quest 3 from this upstart company card Facebook. As someone with zero experience with VR, what are my prospects with a 12700k/3080TI/36GB to get any enjoyment out of the thing? I will state for your reference that I am completely happy with my 2D performance.

Does anyone else have a horrible mesh issue in the town of Akureyri in Iceland? It seems to be related to the river Glera valley (running about halfway down from Lake Glerarlon to the sea; through the town). The landscape is all lifted up and weird at distance, but as you approach it corrects itself. You have to get close though, so you will see the mesh issue clearly if you look out of the left window when departing runway 01.

Hi, I need a bit of help with this aircraft's systems. The Engine Status on the tablet is in red - which clearly means that I have done something wrong to create this engine state. There is no obvious option to reset the engine health status (the button to the right on the tablet is greyed out). Hence, I am unable to start the aircraft, either by using the start button, control E or ready for flight on the tablet.-presumably and rightly so, as the engine status is in red Oil pressure is showing is as zero, although there is oil in the aircraft. Reloading the aircraft either from main menu or restarting the sim - does not change the engine status. …

I'm wondering when the iniBuilds A320 will be released? Microsoft indicated it would be on the next release but I have no idea when since timelines have been eliminated. Also, will the cockpit be new or from the Asobo release and will the original be eliminated? Darryl

I'm been trying different aircraft in icing condition. I can get plenty of ice on the windshield but none on leading edges. If you have different experience please share aircraft you use and location. P.S. I do have icing turned on in my settings

I have just watched a 'wing view' video of a real life A320 landing in Edinburgh during a storm. The plane is rocking left to right, and vice versa and you can see the ailerons moving to correct the planes approach. When, I try and replicate this on either my PMDG 737-800 or Fenix A320, and select a 'wing view' I do not get any aileron movement - sometimes I think I see a very very small movement, but nothing like I recall from real life, or from the video I have just watched. Hi there, We made some changes to the A32NX Development Version for better integration with GSX Pro. when the ramp agent inserts the bypass pin, nose wheel steering is disabled and the associated message is shown in the upper ECAM GSX chocks and cones are no longer used. You can now use the A32NX own chocks and cones and leave the parking brake off, when at the gate. To do so, you have to activate the chocks and cones in the EFB settings again (Settings > Sim Options). Does anyone know if Gaya Simulations LOWI Innsbruck is still in development? The last post with photos on Facebook appears to be April 2023. The screenshots look really nice, with very detailed interior modelling.

Just purchased WSSS and when trying to extract the compressed file I get a 'corrupt file' warning. I've downloaded it twice and still the same. Anyone else had the same?
