Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Anyone else having a problem with Metars this afternoon, on a flight from KEWR to CYYZ. No Metars in the PMDG EFB, and nothing in Avlasoft EFB either. Weird.

I purchased SLC a week or so ago and could not be more pleased. It is so well done and so in depth. They do hit you a little hard on the purchase price though... (Sarcasm there... its $22 USD!) There are many great things about it, but I think one of the best is the scoring of your flights. Scoring flights is nothing new, but most products require to to adhere to the scoring areas the developer feels are important. With this product, you as the user can decide what you want to be scored on and to what degree. There is an element in my conundrum that relates to VR - but I think the expertise I need from you folks is wider than just VR, which is why I post it here. I've been flying Multiplayer with a colleague (for ease, lets call him Chris) for a while - and it is simply splendid - but there's been a quirk. Prior to my recent experiments: - If we were both flying the same aircraft type, I could see Chris's aircraft, along with his chosen livery, correctly and he could see mine. This was the case both with 'stock' Asobo models and also any 3rd party models that we both have loaded - However, if we were flying different aircraft, then he could see both his ow…

For some reason (unknown to me) I'm suddenly getting frequent autopilot disconnects with the ATR. This is in clear weather (ie. no turbulence), settled in cruise mode at the correct altitude and speed and without touching the controls. I'm suspecting my X56 may be sending spurious control inputs, but wobbling the stick doesn't do it (unless it's a *drastic* input). I'm guessing it might be something on on X56 *throttle*, but looking at the AAOs window, I'm not seeing anything being activated on that side (buttons, axes or sliders) when it happens (I've also unbound anything a/p-related). I've not had this trouble with the ATR before - and all other aircraft work…

Dear friends: In Flightsim.to, I am trying to locate Horizon Simulations 787-9 base pack and Kuro 787-8 base pack with latest update. But with Flightsim.to SEARCH option, I only get liveries of 787-9 and -8. How can I find the HS 787-9 and Kuro 787-8 base pack? Please help.

I am very happy with the new updated Working Title B747-8, as it is a great advance over the original Asobo 747, specially after SU13, the Simbrief integration, the reappearance of the missing VOR and APP mode displays, etc. But in my case, the simbrief integration works partially, I can select a Simbrief plan within the FMC, load and activate it, but it doesnt allow to select the takeoff runway at the route page. All other flight planning settings work OK, but when selecting the runway, the message shows "key not active" and consequently that inhibits setting takeoff speeds, CG setting, etc.- Strangely, there is no problem when using the MSFS World Map planning fac…

Just in case anyone felt there weren't enough 2-seat ultralight aircraft using the horrific MSFS G3X we have another release PixelPlanes Breezer Sport It looks pretty enough but honestly i can't see any reason to get excited about this one over any of the other options in this crowded sector ? If you do want to try it out, be aware it's being released through Aerosoft so you need to install and update via their Aerosoft One app even if you buy from other stores (and if you're in the UK at least it's significantly cheaper at Just Flight)

Hey folks, Since I upgraded my CPU, this has opened for me a new horizon with MSFS where I now I can get a crisp picture with very high fps while using ultra settings. Now I am discovering that TAA is very annoying with some flickering on the edges. So I tried DLSS-DLAA, this has so far the best result where I no longer see those flickering edges and everything is crisp, except, aircrafts with screens, there is some annoying blurriness and and the numbers if they change, they change in weird way. Is there any workaround? After trying DLSS, is hard to go back to TAA 😅

I haven't really flew in London recently but after setting up my new video card with my Reverb G2 I took a flight over to downtown London from one of the suburban airfields (the one right by McClaren's headquarters). What I found downtown was blobs everywhere. I went back and tried it again in 2D only to find much of the same (the VR headset just enhances what's there in 2D). So I'm wondering is it just my setup or after all these updates since London was enhanced by Asobo it's still this bad and if so I'm surprised UK simmers haven't been screaming about this (maybe I just didn't hear about it being a US flier interested in other parts of the world).😶 What othe…

Away for a month so MSFS automatically updated to the latest version including removing all my settings! Reset everything and checked with a default aircraft that all was ok. Then updated FBW 320 and restarted MSFS and then selected FBW which loaded totally corrupt: - engines were on with Parking Brake showing on yet aircraft moved forward - all glass instruments blank - increasing power on joystick engines increase )sound) but vc throttles do not move - rotary knobs turn ok but no “click” actions work etc etc so far I have tried everything listed in the FBW guidance including three clean reinstalls. So all was fine and then i cleared dxcache following steps and now on a few flights i've had those texture grids popping in, and same happens with PG. I have tried rolling cache on and off etc, ultra everything. Some areas its not so bad, and i have been flying new routes so maybe just never noticed it. Does anyone else have this experience? I've seen it before and cases on youtube back 9 months ago, just weird it happened after DXcache clear out. You can see as you fly out of airport big chunks of texture just pop n as you move towards them, very odd.

Evening all. Currently have a 4070ti. Trying to find whats the best settings to use for 1440p?. DX11 vs DX12 (Frame Generation) , should i lock my frames in the NVCP? Hello gang! I am a happy FSLTL user and have the program running well and well configured. Now I want to step my AI a notch by having FSLTL use AIG models and repaints for the missing models and airliners in FSLTL. I've gotten AIG installed and have run some preliminary tests but I see no difference or AIG models being used. Are there any souls out there that have this setup working well that may be able to offer any good hints or tips on how to get these 2 programs working well and leveraging each other? Thanks in advance.

Anyone know what determines where the ground crew is and/or how to move them? They seem to be in random places and corners. Would be nice to have them in front of the FBO's where they really exist and oriented properly etc... Thanks!

I just wanted to check that I'm not missing something obvious here. So when flying with AI going on (I use "Carsten's GA mod", but essentially any AI), I am constantly hearing the same voice for the AI pilots, as the ATC. Talk about an immersion killer! So the ATC instructs an AI aircraft to "decend and maintain 6,000"...... then the same voice is used for the pilot reading back. I just don't remember this being so prevalent until recently. Now it's pretty much permanent and just leads me to tune out of the frequency! I have "AI Offline" and a setting of 20 in the Traffic page. I have "Azure" set in the Sound page. I have the default pilot (ie. me)…

I was doing a long flight in the DC-3 (retro) when, after 6 hours over Africa when I noticed both the GNS530 and 430 were showing the message "No GPS Position", and indeed they seem to have lost sattelite connection. I changed the autopilot to heading mode and switched off / on the avionics, hoping that would reset the GNS's. They were indeed able to connect but I noticed the GPS signal was weak and only 5 sattelites were found. Has anybody noticed something like this? Is this realism or a MSFS glitch?

Any recommendations for a good add-on weight/balance planning software? I primarily fly the Longitude but occasionally others. Is there anything that can be used to set the station weights, fuel, etc. ...I'd like to not have to use the MSFS weight and balance screen if possible.
