Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I just recently upgraded from i9-9900k to 7800x3d after many reviews and feedbacks and all what I can say, wow! I have never imagined my getting around 50fps in iniBuild EGLL with FSLTL! And this is what my aging RTX2080. I can't picture what would be when I upgrade to RTX4070TiSuper 😅. The best 900€ I have ever spent recently (CPU, new motherboard, CL30 64RAM and 2TB M2 for MSFS only). I am new to team red, so if you folks have a any tips, I would be interested 😊.

On descent with the amazing Tecnam P2012 and noticed that power is shown at 99%, however the white arrows are at like 45%. There's a disconnect between the two. However when I go into engine settings then the white arrows and percentage numbers match up. Anyone know why the discrepancy?

Not sure if there is a setting to help with it, but I've noticed that on planes with white liveries, the sunlit side will be too bright. It's like the highlights are blown and there is no detail in the whites. Here's a screen shot to show the effect.... https://imgur.com/zi87lqf

As I try to install MSFS2020 on Steam so as to use my Quest 3, a product code for fs is asked for. 3-4 years ago I downloaded MSFS 2020 from Microsoft. Now to connect with Steam so as to use with Quest VR3 Steam is asking for MSFS product code. I haven't the foggiest idea how to come up with that. Ideas are appreciated.

I recently upgraded my system to a 7800x3D (from a 5800x3D) in hopes I could get more performance. It has helped considerably, going from around 50-60FPS to 70-80FPS under my ideal test conditions… no scenery, clear skies preset, mid-day, Kodiak, flight from CYPK to CYVR at around 2000 feet. Graphics settings (4090)… DX12, DLAA, no FG or V-sync, TLOD 300, Object LOD 150, most other settings on Ultra, G-sync enabled,. I’m still main thread limited most of the time… the 7800x3D is boosting to 5GHz and still not able to feed the 4090 as fast as it would like, most of the time. I've noticed on occasion lately a subtle but definite fixed interval stutter upon arrival into the most demanding terminals. Looking out into the distance from 36K feet you probably won't notice it. But looking at this at close range, for example during taxi after landing observing the blue taxiway lights I noticed this pulsing micro-stutter, around maybe every 1/2 second, again mainly in really demanding terminals and metros. For a while I thought it might be that I had HAGS on but I disproved that idea to myself. So Randazzo has hinted that PMDG may have a totally new aircraft on their roadmap, in Randazzos' latest update: I wanted to create a new thread for this, as I don't think it belongs in the PMDG 777 thread. There is a slight ambiguity when Randazzo says, "our next new product line." Yes, Randazzo could mean the PMDG 737 Max, or the PMDG 747. But Randazzo has mentioned the 737 Max and 747 before for MSFS, so I am pretty sure when he says, "our next new product line," he is referring to a new aircraft for MSFS that PMDG has not developed before. Howdy. Just began in the last few weeks. The symptoms (multiple planes) are when dash lights (panel/instrument) are enabled they turn on as normal but soon they start flickering and flashing as if they had a short. No rhyme or reason. Not every time but most. I had a couple of lighting enhancements I bought on MP, runway and landing lights. I’ve disabled both in case it’s related but the issue remains. Anyone else seeing this or has seen? I’m stumped! TIA, -B

Bought this program through the Orbx store and it worked well until they went to the Axis format and that is when it all went wrong for me. I cannot log into the program anymore and when it asks me to register for the Axis format, the program wants a key to register, but Orbx did not provide a key on the original invoice, not needed initially, but now it is for Axis. Has anybody run into this problem and if so , did you get it resolved? Put in a ticket to support, but they want a key also. I would be wary of this purchase as I cannot get a positive response from Orbx or Rex. Tnx , Skip

Was using MSFS for 8 hours last night, several restarts, no issues whatsoever. Try to start the sim today and it hangs on "Checking for updates", forever. (The wheel is not spinning. Just frozen). I've tried everything I can find online; signing out of and back into Xbox app/MS Store, fast start, deleted and reinstalled Game Bar, empty Community folder, deleted the last installed item into "OneStore" (the new Heaven Designs Eurofox). The only thing I haven't tried is deleting the online Xbox Cache, because despite having done that a dozen times before, I can't for the life of me find the line that needs to be entered into Powershell (I even gave someon…

I always start MSFS using a shortcut on my taskbar. Since a week or two MSFS (Steam) always gives me the option to start in Safe mode. Each and every time, no matter what. Annoying because I always have to wait for that message and then click on Normal mode. Today I discovered that when I start MSFS from within the Steam interface this does not happen...!!! Very odd! But having to open Steam every time also is annoying. Anyone knows what may cause this and how I can make my shortcut work as intended again, so without causing that Safe mode message every time?

Hi, I am using a Logitech yoke & throttle with an additional throttle quadrant but am having all sorts of issues getting precise or reliable control and I wondered if anyone else had similar problems? When I calibrate the device ms in Windows 11x, they all appear to work correctly. I tend to use FSUIPC7 but even when I use NSFS default controls inside the sim, I get problems. the issues are mainly with the throttle ms, reverse thrust or spoiler in that the sim controls are jumping around or my external move are not initially detected in game. The spoiler, especially seems to flicker in movement rather than stay set. This is especially common in the PMDG 737.…

I know this has been discussed before, but I have been away from MSFS for the past couple of months due to work, etc. In the MSFS settings, which are the most critical to adjust down, in order to get the best frame rates? So as of right now, there isn't a decent fidelity A380 for any home market flight simulator. But soon (well, maybe within 2 years), MSFS will have two decent fidelity A380s, one from FBW, and the other one from iniBuilds. Good news. Per their facebook post they will be doing a major update to this product. This is great because it wasn't great before. At the same time the handcrafted was also lacking. Inibuilds said on thier discord that they likely won't do atlanta because it has too much photogrammetry and it would be worse than JFK on performance. so this may be our best shot
