Tecnam P2012 Power Setting

Featured Replies

On descent with the amazing Tecnam P2012 and noticed that power is shown at 99%, however the white arrows are at like 45%. There's a disconnect between the two.

However when I go into engine settings then the white arrows and percentage numbers match up. Anyone know why the discrepancy?

@dresoccer4 - Good spot.   I suspect the gauge at the top has been inadvertantly set up to show manifold pressure, instead of power %. (The readings seem to be mimicking the MP gauge below it).

What altitude were you descending from?

the interesting part is it definitely started out showing engine power %. however upon descent is when I noticed things didn't match up. Just an easy descent from 5000' -> 2500' in that screenshot.

however now i'm not 100% sure about takeoff/climb. i'll need to try another flight and keep an eye on it closely

It's one of my favourite birds and I'm due a flight in it, so I'll watch that closely when descending today. 👍
