I am at a complete loss with TrackIR, I have tried everything I know to get this SOAB () to work, but without success! Reinstalled program, installed latest update, starting before (as always recommended) and after and during MSFS, checking TrackIR is on in MSFS, running as admin in addition to MSFS as admin, running without admin same as MSFS... but it simply stops working, often before I get into a flight. Nadda, nothing, lights go out and that's it. It used to work some time ago. Unsure when I started to get the problem, but it hasn't worked properly for the best part of six months I guess. Sometimes I'm lucky, but that's probably only about 20% of the time. Veyry odd …

Field TRIP WIND is in the Fenix MCDU > INIT B/p. 2. My understanding of this field is that it's prevailing wind at the specified CRZ FL, which can be set to the value provided in AVG WIND in the Simbrief OFP. However, TRIP WIND has only 5 characters insufficient for the AVG WIND field so the questions are: Is this field supposed to be the CRZ FL prevailing wind ? What's the expected format of the entry....only has 5 characters ? If not the CRZ FL wind, what is it for ? Is this field used ? Format ?

Hello to all. New to this forum and to FS2020. I have been a user of MS Flight simulator (FSnnnn) since the beginning, and a user of X-Plane as well for several years now. After having used FS2020 for a brief time, (along with the excellent Flysimware Cessna 414), I have decided that it must become my preferred sim for most flying. However, I have developed a concern regarding the unavailability of many radio navaids that exist in the older sims, presumably due to de-commissioning and the fact that MSFS uses dynamic updating to the latest AIRAC cycles. I now have 3 sims on my computer: FSX, X-Plane, and MSFS. One of the things I have enjoyed the most over t…

...Starting with tomorrow (Tuesday) as the first candidate for a release date They are keen on their 'update Tuesdays', and considering they want to release SU15 around mid-March, they need to release a beta 'flighting' around about now to allow enough time for testing. Considering the amount of good content / improvements in this Sim Update, are there any non-beta flyers out there tempted to sign up to the beta programme test this? My highlights to test will be the better ground handling, the performance optimisations on the flat screens (thanks to Working Title), and the memory optimisation to help reduce stuttering. And you never know, they might shoe…

I don't have Navigraph yet, but I am considering it. I would be happy to hear any thoughts to convince me or otherwise. I fly both Liners and GA just lately. Anyway, how about this new feature? Will it please current Navigraph owners? https://msfsaddons.com/2024/02/13/you-can-now-export-a-navigraph-flight-plan-directly-to-your-aircraft-in-msfs/

It is not a glass cockpit vs steam gauge preference nor a thread on the proper representation of the G1000 in the sim (thank you so much WorkingTitle) but really a user interface question. I find the G1000 usage in a sim (i.e. with no specific hardware) very cumbersome and painfull compared to other system like G3000, G5000 or GTN750 that are a lot more user friendly to use. I know that in real life it is a lot easier to user rotator than in the sim but I get to a point where I sometime decide not to fly an overall good plane (like the Kodiak) because it is ftted with a G1000 and it is a pain in the neck to use it (and yes I know there is a trick to use the keyb…

All, Does anyone have any experience using/playing Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 through a MiFi, or personal hotspot connection (3G/4G) please? I'm looking to build a new PC for my father where the limiting factor is his terrible internet speeds - between 3Mbps to 5Mbps (at best). So the answer for now, I think, is to use a mobile/cellular (3G/4G) connection but I have no idea what the real life experience would be in MSFS. Many thanks in advance, JC

Is there a way to use the plane models from FSLTL but the real time traffic from PSXT and Live traffic? I currently used AIG with PSXT / Live Traffic but found that when using FSLTL, i get better performance. I just prefer the accuracy of PSXT/Real Traffic. Can this be done?

Anyone pick this up from the marketplace? I'm a little hesitant as the textures look similar to P3D era. There is a freeware one at flightsim.to that's okay. This payware version definitely looks more accurate than that though. I love flying PNW so I'm leaning towards a purchase but I'd love to see some closeups of hangars from people who own it already.

From Aamir Hi @everyone - to get the sharp end of the stick out of the way first, as you may have noticed it's the end of October and Block 2 isn't here. The last month has been an absolute whirlwind of late nights, early mornings, and weekends to try and get this over the line in time. Things ultimately did not go our way in the later phase of development and the simple fact is we're not going to be meeting our October guidance as hoped, but regardless we're not letting our foot off the gas just yet. We understand this is going to cause a lot of frustration and annoyance, and we're honestly gutted we couldn't pin everything together. With that said, as disapp…

This week Flysimware decided to share a status update on this project via a YouTube video. Sorry I can not include a video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeEMb5-hkUc The Sierra will feature a modern avionics battery, including the future Garmin G3X ( upgrade by Working Title in Sim Update 15), and support for navigation units like the GTN 750 from PMS50 and TDS.

Hi Guys, Just downloaded the JF Warrior and having some fun flying around local airfields in it. I've noticed I'm getting this annoying stutter/pause problem which seems to have manifested itself each time I've shut the aircraft down having completed a flight. It hasn't happened in flight yet but I've only done flights of around 20 minutes so this may just be coincidence that it's always happened on shutdown, or something with the aircraft? Means I have to reset if I want to turn round and fly somewhere else in the same session. Here is a video I captured of what's going on: As you can see, it's less of a general low fps problem and m…

Being succinct is not one of my better traits folks. Lets get this out of the way right off the start. The standard statements that many of folks must interject. "It was only....", or "If you don't like it...." totally not necessary. Also, let's make this clear, I bought the MU-2. OK, the Confusion. Frankly, my confusion comes from the Community, Asobo and IniBuilds. I read a lot of threads here and elsewhere. I see a lot of glowing reviews and some really picky reviews and input. I saw a lot of positive reviews on IniBuilds Airbusses, airports, scenery etc. Then threads regarding the fantastic Blacksquare TBM 850, along the lines of was this thing e…

Hello - I picked up the OMAA-OMDB bundle from Inibuilds, and have not yet been able to actually see OMAA. As soon as the airport loads, and I hit the “Ready to Fly” button, I get an immediate CTD. I have very good hardware, so the issue is likely related to the scenery. I’m trying to load with the PMDG 737. This issue has occurred on two different higher end computers, so it’s not specific to just one machine. I’m curious as to whether anyone else is having this issue. Cheers, Pete

When flying the approach phase, I insert a ring with with a radius of 10 NM around the arrival rwy for the ND to help with managing speed and altitude. When I attempted to do this in the Fenix A320, FIX INFO is absent from the arrival runway. For example I was landing at KFLL rwy 28R and clicked on left LSK for KFLL28R in the flight plan. I could see FIX INFO for all other waypoints I had tried. How do I add the ring for the arrival runway ? Is there a way to have multiple rings ?

I run the sim at the very lowest settings and see a max frame rate (no frame generation) of 40.0 with the eight CPUs all below 60%, the GPU below 50% and frame times of 16ms, which yields about 60 FPS. I then increase all my settings to HIGH and run the same flight and see a max frame rate of 40.0 with CPUs around 75% and GPU at 60% with frame times of 18ms. The FPS never exceeds 40.0 based on RTSS, eVGA, DevMode. I run several 4K GPU benchmarks and consistently see 65 to 70 FPS, I even run them with the sim running but paused so I am pretty sure there is no active frame rate limiter. Assetto Corsa runs at 120 FPS with all settings to maximum. I …

Today I tuned ATIS at my home airport and no audio back from MSFS. Toggled to ATC and requested clearance. MSFS played my voice request just fine. But the response from MSFS was silent. The MSFS response was only presented in scrolling text. So I am hearing the pilot side, but no sound from the MSFS response. I have not changed any settings I am aware of from my previous flights, Any ideas?

I am having real trouble getting the nosewheel of the PMDG 737-600 to behave itself. I use AutoRudder with the 737, but the nosewheel seems to have a mind of its own. It turns too far and slides sideways on the grass, there is a huge delay between my turn command and the wheel actually doing anything, and sometimes it seems to try turning in the opposite direction before switching to the correct one! What on Earth is going on? The aircraft is totally uncontrollable on the ground at the moment, and I suspect that it is a settings thing that affects all of the planes. I use a CH Flightstick Pro joystick, and this has been calibrated. EDIT: On a side note, th…

Hello. Simply stunning the MV 22 is. A study yet fun to fly bird it surely is. A big fan of Maryadi's Osprey since its freeware release in FSX which IMO should have been easily released as a quality payware. And the one released by Miltech for MSFS is just mind blowing. It is so good that it to me simulates the deadly transition horror as in the real life (?). Quoting the designer, "I do indeed adhere to the Osprey flight manual that I possess. And indeed, one of my goals is to always stay close to reality, so everything must be customized, specific to the existing aircraft." Surprisingly (which I should have not), the designer mostly worked on the Osprey by himself…
