Hi All, Having had excellent help here previously I'm imposing on the generosity of Forum Members for a MSFS query. I should perhaps start off by saying I have had MSFS on my setup for a couple of years now. I have added a few Scenery addons, along with a few extra Aircraft. I have to date, not experienced (Thankfully) the many problems some Forum users have written of in these Forums. Mostly my setup has behaved admirably 🙂 It was until today originally loaded onto my SSD 'D' Drive (My Win 10 O.S. is on it's own SSD 'C' Drive) This Computer is dedicated to my Flight Sim setup and has a couple of older HDDs for file storage etc. plus an external HDD for fil…

The Problem: Of late I have been having quite a few issues with MSFS 2020. After about ten minutes some aircraft, early jets and such, simply lose power resulting in a forced descent and abrupt termination of the flight. However, while flying the DC-3 (and other twin-engine propeller aircraft), after about twenty minutes the propeller controls go wonky, with the left engine control still working, but maxing out at 1500 RPM. The right engine rpm locks at 1000 RPM and no control input changes it. Saw a number of comments about this type of issue, but none had any conclusion fro the problem. Losing altitude, I recall the real life necessity for resolving the proble…

I've been noticing my ground textures are grainy lately... much like the clouds at times. Anyone else getting this and any suggestions as to what it could be coming from?

I am looking to delete MSFS & reinstall it & get rid of most of my Community folder add-ons There are many post on Utube ,forums etc, but none seem to be totally procedure specific. Ques, Where can I find a good procedure to remove & reinstall. There probably are some on this form but I seen to locate them. I know that there are all sorts of files hanging around after deletion but finding them seems to be difficult Any good help is appreciated. Kev M

Is it just me? Since the small update yesterday I'm getting a lot of turbulence with the "Low" setting which used to be virtually zero. In any GA aircraft I'm not only getting quite extreme turbulence but I get it when weather is set to zero clouds and wind, at any time of day, over a completely flat scenery, and also some very wild yawing on the ground as though there were extreme gusts. Before I start ranting 🙂 I want to check whether this is somehow just my end, or do others experience the same thing?

I fly this aircfaft regularly and wish to thank the developers for the recent updates. There is, however, one issue remaining. The glideslope indicator is operating in reverse. When you are above the glideslope it shows you are low and visa versa. Look forward to the fix.

After the latest beta update, I found that I could no longer fly multiplayer with my friends who were not on the beta.. As a result, I have gone back to SU14. Luckily, this was easy to do and only involved downloading some 2 GB of content. Now, my multiplayer works again.. Not sure what the multiplayer status in SU15 is at present... Anyone know?

Having been super-frustrated with download speeds (updates, marketplace, content manager) I decided to do a little bit of research. Using a VPN (in my case Proton), download speeds in the content manager increased from 0-1Mbit/s up to a whooping 130Mbit/s. The trick was to try different VPN locations. Using the closest location the improvement was miniscule. Selecting e.g. Australia (I live in Europe) and the download speeds sky-rocketed. I guess it depends on a number of factors e.g. time of day. Choosing a VPN location where it's the middle of the night might make sense as very few users will be active.

Ocotillo Airport (L90) is located in Ocotillo Wells, San Diego County, California. It features two runways with dirt surfaces. The first runway, 13/31, measures 4.210 by 150 feet (1,283 x 46 m), while the second runway 9/27 is 2,330 by 150 feet (710 x 46 m). on’t expect taxi sign, runway lights and even edge marking. The airport is surrounded by hills, adding a unique challenge for pilots. The airport sees an average of 60 aircraft operations per month, primarily transient general aviation and even some military. You can meet Osprey blowing sand here! Free to download at https://flightsim.to/file/69641/ocotillo-wells-airport-l90 Historically, during World War II, the …

So when you allow the autopilot to determine the rate of climb / decent how does it determine the rate? Case in point, when I fly the Fenix or the PMDG 737 and go VNAV, the rate climb / decent can sometimes be 3k-4k FPM. This isn't realistic or appropriate, is it? Is there something I should be adjusting in the FMC to control this? Thanks, Dave

I am having some stuttering issues that's driving me crazy. System is an i7 10700k, 32 GB DDR4 3200 ram, RTX 4070 ti Super graphics, 1 TB and 2 TB nvme SSD drives. I recently swapped the graphics card (coming from an RTX 3090 that I am using in another system) and that seems like when the problem started. I used DDU to uninstall the old drivers and also cleared the shader cache as recommended in several videos. From what I understand, the sim can stutter when generating shader cache for the first time. However, this occurs every single time the sim is started and lasts about 5-6 minutes before finally stabilizing. I have even gone as far as upgrading the entire …

A new pre-release test build (1.37.4.0) is now available to all players enrolled in the optional Sim Update 15 beta. The sim is fast enough to initially load up, buy when I go to load an aircraft it takes forever...I just had ATT come out and install a 2G line (my rig will only take 1G),so i know i have enough bandwidth...as tested on speedtest.net... I am using the sim on my desktop, running W-11, and the internet connection is hardwired into the computer...I have over 200 planes together with all the add-ons...how do I make the planes load faster?... I have a couple of questions for a two items in the EFB: Panel States I don't see an option to save custom panel states. If there is a way of doing it, please let me know how. It's great tool to have while still climbing the learning curve. Option "A/THR" On/Off in the Arrival Performance Page From a timing perspective, to what point in the descent/approach is this referring ? Is it during the approach ? After the flare when the wheels hit the pavement (I think this is it) ? Not quite clear to what point in the arrival this is referring.

I would like to check if other users of intel cpu have a similar CPU core utilization on MSFS: My core 4 and 5 are always at 100% and the rest of P-cores around 20% average. I have HT turned off and the last 4 e-cores are also off. I am using process lasso to assign other apps running in the background only to the e-cores. I don't have any stutters or performance hit, but I am just curious if it is only me or other users are also having the same behavior
