Have noticed in the last couple of weeks, maybe longer, that nav and ecam displays will suddenly increase brightness going through clouds. Even at night. Not a big deal for the ECAM, but the attitude indicator gets so bright, it is almost unreadable. Could that be a setting on my part?

According to Discord: Also, everyone hold Vitoldi accountable who bet his account that B2 will not release before July. Hi @everyone, time guidance has been updated from "weeks not months" to "hours not days", see ya tomorrow for B2 day - we'll be posting more tidbits and some info in the following hours, so don't panic if you see pings later today again, the build will come tomorrow. Thanks for the patience and I look forward to the last year and a half of work landing on your PCs shortly

Its been years since i flew the Fslabs in P3D so i dont really have a refence. But for those of you who knows, is the Fenix simulate correctly flaps 2 and pitch compensate ? Currently going from flaps 1 to flaps 2 does not lower the nose, and if i dont push the nose down the plane can reach VS of about 1000 fpm. Is this correct or broken ?

Hi everyone, I feel like an word not allowed for asking, but I find it really hard to line up the runway to land at many airports when the runway tends to blend into the scenery. Is this true in real life too? Your major airports have lights that are easy to see far away, but smaller airports tend to be tough to see until very close (at least for me, with my graphics settings). Do others have the same issue? If so, or if not, what graphical settings tend to help, especially if in real life it's easier to pick out an airport/runway? Thank you.

I was flying through the clouds in freezing conditions in Milviz c130R. The ice soon accumulated and when I actuated prop deicing, there were some loud bangs and the plane jolted a little bit. I was quite surprised. A coincidence or they simulated pieces of ice flying off the prop and hitting the plane!?!?!?!?! EDIT: YES! It was the sound of breaking ice! First time there were some loud bangs, too! Now, only the sound. Never heard someone mentioning it. What a surprise! The feeling was.... like in Titanic; flying over the Alps avoiding the mountaintops and listening to the ice crackling!!!!

Steve Halpern from the iFly forum writes: The iFly 737 Max exterior photos are here: https://galleries.flight1.net/?gallery=max-msfs-ext-1 The source for these photos and the quote above was posted by the Steve Halpern at: http://ifly.flight1.net/forums/max-for-msfs-exterior-preview_topic21266.html So it seems like iFly is not quite at the beta version yet, but they have started flight testing and testing of the aircraft systems, and are in the middle of interior model development. I think this puts a timer on PMDG. Now I am curious if Randazzo from PMDG will speed up the PMDG 737 Max release.

The management of transition altitude in the A320 is not clear. I don't see a place to specify the Transition Altitude for Departure or Arrival so my questions are: Is the transition altitude entered/specified as part of departure and arrival procedures or is it picked-up automatically ? If it's picked-up automatically, what's the source ? Thanks.

I am still not sure what has been changed by the new beta build. Probably DX12 optimization (or even Fgen), but I did four tests. I didn't intend to do the test but "obsessively" looking at my GPU temp throuh G-Force Performance Overlay during flights, I found that my GPU temp is 4-6 degrees cooler when using DX12-FRGen: i.e, 75-78 to 71-74 degrees. This has never happened before because Framerate Gen always did the otherwise. This is not only odd but it is a game changer for me. To reconfirm what I saw, did four more tests using DA62 and Miltech Chinook (Beta build) with the same scenarios, heavy rain, heavy clouds, 1500-2500 ft over a densely populated city with 3r…

Hi, Quick question on the BS TBM850 GPS system. I've manually entered identical flight plans into the TDS GTN750 & GNS530W, planning to use the GNS530 as a backup along the way. However, the GNS530W isn't cycling between the waypoints during the flight or during the approach, even after I've activated the approach on both GPS's. I've got the WT GNS430/530 installed in my content manager and it is showing as up to date. Is there a bug with this or am I missing something? Thanks.

So after learning about BeyondATC's pricing model, and finding out that SayIntentions.ai is using ChatGPT as part of its algorithm (I'm not sure if BeyondATC is also using ChatGPT but I don't think so), I think Microsoft is the right company to make the next gen civilian flightsim. A lot of people are not happy that BeyondATC is charging for premium voices (FYI, I listened to the sample of the free voice tier for BeyondATC and I personally found it acceptable since it's free). But the reason BeyondATC is charging "transmission time" to use premium voices is because BeyondATC is using a 3rd party AI service to generate the premium voices. Unless your company owns thi…

I landed at ENSB, Longyear, Svalbard, and it was a delightful airport. Lots of snow plows. (Stock MSFS scenery.) The approach was at night, and there were no runway lights, which made the visual part pretty challenging. After landing, I could see the MSFS depiction of the runway light pylons but they weren't illuminated. I've never seen this before, so I was wondering if this is a bug or a feature. Weather was clear and visibility was unlimited, if that makes a difference. Street lights on surrounding roads were on, as were lights on buildings and animated airport vehicles. Only the runway lights and taxiway lights on the airport itself were dark. Are runway lig…

What I'm about to say makes no sense at all to me. But I can reproduce this bizarre circumstance with 100% consistency. I own and enjoy the Bredok3D 747 Livery Cargo Pack, purchased directly from the in-sim Marketplace. The liveries are excellent, and continue to look gorgeous under the SU15 beta. But since the SU15 beta was released, it is no longer possible to throttle up the engines in the 747 when using these liveries. If you attempt to throttle up the already-running engines with a controller or with the mouse, the engines do not respond with an increase in power. Visually, the throttle in the 747 moves forward as normal (both using a controller and using a mous…

Well hmm... Mathijs first posted today in https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/283505-come-and-meet-us-at-fsweekend that their secret/unannounced project will be revealed at the upcoming FSWeekend event in Netherlands (March 16-17) and has since updated it to move the reveal and demo out to FSExpo 2024 in June which they'll also be attending. "We decided to move the demo of our not-yet-announced project to the FlightSimExpo 2024 in Vegas, where we will also have a stand." Wonder what it'll be... interesting to note when someone speculated 757 or 767 or maybe that it's not even an airplane Mathijs responded with "warm": htt…

I am using the pms50-gtn750 with my Flysimware Cessna 414 and it worked OK in the past, now I have problems with all its buttons and icon options, with the exception of the direct to, and the home buttons. Now every other icon or button included Nav and Com frequencies shows some operation lag, as they only operate once holding the mouse left button over them for a while, and then once they change colour, releasing the mouse button the option selected works . Of course it is very unconfortable and unpractical. I tried uninstalling either the Cessna 414 and the pms50-gtn750 from the oficial site, but no way. Does somebody have the same problem ? Thanks

Hi, I have been happily flying the C172 for the last couple of weeks, but starting yesterday, I started having problems with power. I follow normal start procedure and end up with motor running and active G1000. Then, however, sometimes the power suddenly goes away, and the G1000 goes dark. Flaps will no longer move etc. Last time it happened while taxiing, the time before it happened while climbing. This last time I toggled the battery and power returned, then it disappeared again a few minutes later, and this time I could no longer bring it back. As far as I can see I have not enabled any failures- Am I doing anything wrong here?

Simple question: can I fly with the mouse? I have searched extensively in this and other forums and have not found a clear answer. I am partly disabled and cannot use a joystick.I use FSX and have long since learned to substitute the mouse and it works fine. I just ordered MSFS 2020 and now I'm feeling like a [prohibited word] because I was assuming that, well, of course I should also be able to do the same thing in MSFS, right? Hope you are all doing well - Tres

Alongside the new 2402 AIRAC cycle, MS is updating the following airfields with new data: What exactly is entailed with these world hub airports updates isn't defined. (Could and should be stand, apron, taxiway, runway layouts and designations and missing buildings). Nor does it appear to be voluntary, which will upset some who want to retain old data. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/world-hub-airports-navdata-update-cycle-2402/631381 Would be interested to hear from anyone familiar with the current default airfields listed above for comparison.

Hello folks, I updated the Map Enhancement app and it no longer works. I start the app before I start MSFS, but the old maps are still loaded in MSFS. In the dashboard you can also see that the new tiles do not update if you move. Anyone an idea?

https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/285125-24feb24-some-good-news-in-your-weekend-update-777s-xbox-and-more PMDG 737 "Freezes" Over the past six months or so, we have seen a slowly increasing number of reports that the 737 will simply freeze the user out and stop responding to user input under various conditions. With some community feedback, the culprit seemed to have something to do with the TCAS being in either TA or TA/RA modes, but no amount of trying to duplicate the problem in-house brought us any live captures of the event, or gave us any ideas. In the beginning there were just a few reports of the problem, and on…
