If you’re interested in participating in our weekly Screenshot Challenges, check out the details in the Community section below! Earlier this week, we announced that applications to join the World Hub closed alpha test are now open! Anyone using the new Octavi IFR-1 hardware? I just got mine and while it seems to be a brilliant unit, I'm having difficulty accessing the shift function of the lower buttons when using the G1000. Anyone having similar experiences?

I've been flying all the over the world and was rarely disappointed by the MSFS scenery. It can even be said often spectacular. I am crisscrossing now is the Caribbean islands (Turks & Caicos to Grenada). And I am not happy of what I see. A rather coarse sat imagery and vector data, dull vegetation, darkish not to say gloomy autogen buildings. Almost FS9 territory. Only thing, some very lovely watermasks. I have never been in or flown over this region in real life. So I cannot really compare. Maybe it is not as glamorous as seen in movies 😄. Did I expect too much ? You people living there or knowing the places, what do you think ? Anyway, I wish t…

  8. ...in MSFS versus FSX/P3D? Is it the flight dynamics? Or maybe it's the sensitivities for my yoke? If you don't mind if you're happy w/ your sensitivity settings for PMDG 73x or FBW 320NX could you grab a screen shot for me? I'm guessing it's more the sensitivities but it may help to contrast mine w/ someone who feels great about theirs. Thanks in advance

  9. Started by Gnacino,

Have not done a flight since before Xmas. Turned it on yesterday with PMDG's 737 and the main gauges do not pop out anymore. Has something changed during the holidays? I have done the updates and everything is current. And yes I know the procedure for popping out the PFD, MFD etc. It's a drag cause I use three small monitors for the gauges. Gnacino

  11. Hi all, I have the MACCO simulations Manchester airport but even after reinstalling 3 times and to the latest version 2.6.1, I Have issues whereby the taxiways are bumpy for a better phrase! only as I leave the apron and at all those intersections. Can anyone help me with this? I have tried contacting MACCO with online chat and email a few times now and got no response. Thanks, Phil.

Not sure where to ask this so the Hangar it is. 😉 (EDIT: The MSFS forum is fine too. 😉 ) My main plane (SF50 in MSFS) comes with a few HVARs which I'd like to use. Afaik you can use Mobiflight to assign HVARs to controller keys, like buttons on a joystick. (Right?) Problem is that my controller doesn't have enough unassigned buttons left. Just one. Now I wondered if Mobiflight has an option for modifier keys, some sort of shift-like key, which would enable me to assign HVARs to any of my controller buttons. When I press (just an example) button 1 right now my gear goes up. But if I'd press-and-hold my modifier key (the only button I have left which is not assigned to…

  13. This afternoon I wanted to update my AIG flight plans and airlines and found myself with a new AI Manager installed which has substantially simplified the whole update process. The UI is clear, simple and easy to use. One can in the Quick install tab update all the existing airlines, models and flightplans and add new ones. You can even select which part of the world you want to update or download if you prefer that option. No doubt the team heard the users comments and worked hard to satisfy those who were reluctant to get into this huge job. So I thought we should, once more, take our hats off to these people who are so dedicated to this hobby, offering us their ti…

  15. One of the things I most wish was working in MSFS, is the key commands for toggling the headphone simulation. Yes, there are commands for it, no, it's widely reported that they don't work. Whilst trowelling though the 'net about this yesterday, I read a comment that said "It's crazy that Asobo added the key commands but didn't ever get them working. Even Parallel 42 got the headphone sim toggle working, via a script in their Flow utility". I don't own flow but I'd seriously considering buying it if this is true. Can anyone who owns Flow and actually has the Headphone toggle script working, confirm this is the case? This is the widget that claims to ad…

Has anyone bought any of the 1935 period airports that Red Wings Simulations is offering? How do they look quality wise? Do they really integrate into the surrounding scenery? And I notice that Red Wings is offering a complete? 1935 version of all of France. And of all of the US as well?

Hopefully maybe here I can get an answer to why on a lot-but not all of VOR's don't grab the signal. Before I get hit on the basics I do have a real license and have used vor's in real life,. Since I'm with FS2020 I'm into the DC'3 and Beech 18's and completely done with the big jets. I'm not the only one who has notice this .Louis CYYC

  19. I never land nor take off from this airfield. Nor in real or in the sim. But a request made as a comment of one of my scenery raised my attention. Small size, regular buildings for a GA field (I suck in Blender/Sketchup), plenty of single prop planes based and most of all a spectacular location on a mountain top. Yeah.... It's not Sedona, but Placerville (KPVF) is my current project for now. A big task to collect data and visual material on Internet. It's also an excuse to move away from San Diego where there isn't much field left to get build in MSFS! To whom it may concern @ Microsoft. Would it be too much trouble to issue out receipts for purchases from market place that states what was actually purchased and the amount?? Instead of the cryptic receipts that I have no idea what it means How hard could it be to issue a receipt for what was purchased, that way I have a record for future needs. Thank you.

  21. It's quite impressive the list of airliners coming to MSFS in the next 2 years. The 3rd party development scene for MSFS has never been as strong, with so many 3rd party devs having announcing products for MSFS. From my knowledge, these are the airliners that I know that are likely coming to MSFS in 2024/2025: inIBuilds A350 iniBuilds A380 (could be after 2025, but iniBuilds is pretty fast so I think 2025 is possible) PMDG 777 PMDG 737 Max iFly 737 MAX Bluebird 757 Bluebird 767 (not sure if Bluebird can release both the 757 and 767 by 2025, it may just one one and not the other) Fenix A319/A321 TDFI MD-11 Just Fl…

Is there any way of removing the dirt from the PMDG 737-600 cockpit windows? I note that there is a "clean glass mod" @ flightsim.to, but it specifically mentions that it works with the 700/800. Does it also work with the 600/900?

I came across two tools by Sonicviz, https://sonicviz.com/portfolio/ - Location manager, which enables you (among other things) to start anywhere on the ground or on water - Aircraft manger, which includes automatic preset selection (for axis assignments etc.) by aircraft type. Has anyone used these tools before? For what they are doing, they are a bit on the high side with the price. Plus, there are "known issues" listed for them, so I am quite hesitant to jump for it. Are there any alternatives for the two items above? This is really all I am interested in. Peter

PMDG 777 Beta Progress:Our upcoming flagship of the fleet, the PMDG 777 continues to make solid progress through the beta testing period. We aren't yet to a point where we are projecting a release date, as we still have a number of features that are being baked into the airplane and many new items that are being tested, tweaked and improved in order to bring you the most feature rich 777 simulation yet created for desktop simulation. We will begin talking more openly about many of these features as the airplane nears release- and we are also planning to spend a number of weeks doing feature previews and the like- mostly to give you some insight into just how incredibly th…

  25. I have been thinking about purchasing GSX. I have had GSX on previous platforms loved it then and it certainly looks great in MSFS. However, I really enjoy flying too much to get bogged down with a lot of configuration. I see a lot of YouTube videos detailing (very well) how to configure the program to work correctly which gives me some concern. So I guess my question is, will GSX work well "out of the box", or do I need to prepare myself for hours of configuration for various airports and aircraft? If they later, I may pass for now. Thank you, Dave
