Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

It only seems to have started since the last update a few days ago, but I'm constantly freezing when trying to end a flight. Is anyone else having the same issue? My only choice is to use the Task Manager to kill flightsim. All the options seem to have reset as well, though I am now able to hear ATC for the first time since the program was released.

Greetings all! I'm finally getting around to learning the ATR42/72. My joystick is a Thrustmaster T.16000M, and I have the throttle slider on the joystick calibrated for Ground Idle, Notch, and Ramp settings on the aircraft throttle quadrant. However, I cannot get the throttle slider on the joystick to move past GI into the reverse area on the quadrant. I've searched YouTube but haven't been able to find anything specific my joystick. I had not flown mine in a while, but discovered that the standby airspeed indicator is broken... After a search I found that this has been reported to Microsoft, but no fix has been forthcoming.. No matter what I do, I can't get either of the two VOR needles to display - even though they're both tuned and receiving (sometimes with DME information). Both ADF pointers/needles display correctly. This is with the MS Store version, SU14. Any ideas?

Anybody has his problem. I release the brake with handle on pedestal Apply power and engine does not move Has happened many times now. I then just restared on a runways and it seems to go ' Trying to figure out what's going out. Frustrating after going thru all startup and push back it gets stuck

Hello. I would like to ask: I have bought FSHud. It says in its documentation that all have to br in OFF (Real traffic online, ground etc...). I dont want to use FSLTL with it..so: ¿is FSHud an injector? can it use the AIG models? thanks!

Since the last SU (or just after), where I had real-time and Live weather automatically active for each flight, I now need to manually acticate these in the toolbar weather window for each flight. I checked my Data configuration and they are all turned on. Anyone know how to fix it so it's always automatically active again?

Hi there, I am observing quite low flap retraction speeds on takeoff. For example on my last flight the VR was 163 kts and flap retraction speed was 161 kts (cant remember TOW). So i would basically retract flaps immediately after liftoff which seems weird to me. Am i missing something here? OFP and weights were imported from simbrief. Best regards

I have not decided on a flight recorder for 2020 and having used the FSX version which is not included with 2020 was wondering if there is a possible clone or near clone that works in 2020. The experimental version in 2020 is really confusing and gave up on that one. What are you using, free or pay ware? Does not matter. Just want a program that makes sense to a new old timer. I do not need production type programs, just one with fly by and tower views etc. Thanks for any comments, Skip

Hi, Has anyone had trouble with turning on the left fuel tank ? I can switch it on at start but at some point during flight it will turn itself off , and only feed from the right tank. I have to fly with the right tank set at cross feed all the time, I've forgotten a couple of times and run out of fuel when the right tank empties ... and I still can't switch the left tank to open. I just want to make sure I'm not doing something stupid before I put in a ticket.

Sorry if thas been mentioned before but just launched orbx and ybbn citypack has been updated. Seems smoother now. i am pleased with it as i can do my yssy to ybbn flights. Mike

Probably a first for this machine - flying the HJet (for what it's worth) I had noticed an odd clicking that I hadn't noticed before coming through the headphones (only in the interior view), then all of a sudden whilst panning the view the system completely froze up. Only solution was power off then back on. Extremely rare to get a CTD for me, don't think that I have ever had a hard lockup with this machine !! Anyone else seen issues like this? G

Hi, first flight here in the horizon sim 789 and I have a problem :). When I reach rotate speed, the aircraft doesn't want to lift, instead keeps rolling until 190 kts( I'm only able to rotate at 190kts). It happens multiple times, and I don't know what's causing it. Any ideas?

I was trying to correct one problem and created another... I deleted all traces of the 208 in my Community folder and deleted the 208 from my One Store (MS) folder... I rebooted and started the sim...MS duly noted that the 208 was not there and downloaded it....I checked the one store folder...when I went to fly the 208, t did not show up my list of planes....help please, John Helms

Hello all, I am experiencing a strange problem with Garmin 1000 Nxi on my Kodiak 100 plane made by SWS. I didn't try it with other aircrafts using G1000Nxi so I don't know whether it is specific for Kodiak or not. Here is the problem: the engine parameter gauges on PFD should normally be transferred to MFD once you initialize it. But every once in a while, the engine parameter gauges still remain on PFD, and when this happens, I can't switch CDI between different navigation modes, and I can't use transponder, I cannot set transponder to on or change transponder codes. I have been experimenting a bit with Henrik Nielsen's Ships.. cutting back the routes to the U.S. West Coast only and getting rid of the Costa cruise ship that likes to sail just off Vancouver.. But my real goal would be to see the main BC Ferries routes active with the supplied vessels, which are very good, but do not show up where I might expect them. Has anyone worked on this, and maybe found a solution?

I have just noticed that I can set the parking brake in my PMDG 737-600 with the left mouse button, but I am not able to release it. Surely it should be like an ON/OFF switch? How do I resolve this?

In every aircraft from the ini A310 to the PMDG 737, everytime I am in flight where there is some moderate turbulence the autopilot disconnects sending me either into a nose dive and immediate right turn or staying level and only veering slightly off course. It is making most flights difficult to do as they constantly need attention and a close watchful eye so that if it does disconnect I can quickly take manual control and get back on track. f I don't use time acceleration and never will, I like to set up a flight, get to cruise altitude and depending on how long it takes - do stuff around the house or walk to dog etc. Is there any ideas on what could be causin…
