I have an issue with simbrief import. The CG is always in the 30s (34-36) which would often give a TO trim in the low 2-3.

Correct me if I’m wrong but my understanding is that this is not realistic and TO trim should normally be in the range of 4-6? 

My current bypass is to import from simbrief, and then readjust CG in the default W/B settings in MSFS, to a value around 20-25, which would give a TO trim if 4-6.

 

I get an error "wind data uplink wind data uplink rejected due to message error" when attempting to download winds, I was able to download the Simbrief flightplan.Is this not modeled? Thanks

This behavior was seen by many and often discussed on the WT Discord. Matt and others explained it was caused by seeking to load the various weight stations with appropriate weight and also forcing cg rearward I believe. When you use the W&B page to achieve a more favorable cg it just “smears” your load across the entire loading surface. Give the W&B load outs a look once you have done anything with cg. You will clearly see what I mean.

Just republish your SimBrief FP your winds are out of date

Yes. They claimed it was supposed to be fixed with the final release candidate, but apparently not.

Yeah, I loaded her up pretty good NTAA KLAX.  486k LBS TOW, 141k LBS fuel. FMC said CG 11.0  and 8.5 TO trim.  at V1 (156kts) I pulled a little, nothing, at 160kts pulled a little more, 170kts continuous back pressure until I ran out of axis then about 190kt massive tail strike and abrupt lift. Tried it 4 times with same result. It is cool that it tells you you had a tail strike like the real plane would.

Maybe they shouldn't have stuck with committing to a 10/27 release.

Try to load the aircraft according to the following procedure (assuming you are using Simbrief):

1. Go to the Settings page in FMC
2. Make sure you are logged in Simbrief, if not do so
3. On the Settings page press on bottom right of the FMC screen "Weight & Balance"
4. Then on the left of that new page press LSK4 "Set from OFP", your fuel and weights will be automatically filled up in the FMC
5. Then proceed to your EFB, calculate your take-off performance (don't forget to import (copy from FMC) the few parameters needed like Temperature, QNH etc, select your own parameters for TO, press Accept (bottom right of the EFB and the take-off speeds will be filled in your FMC
6. Trim your plane correctly for TO, your lift will start on VR when calculated, enjoy.

So the guys at Horizon Simulation are aware of some Issues as the wrong rotate point for example and are working on a 1.01 update beginning next week..

yesterday I did 3 flights with the GE variant which did takeoff but I had to pull the yoke quite a lot. today I swiched to the RR for a flight from EGLL to the updated ini KJFK and it started to rotate by itself... but all fine, flying along nicely at FL360 right now

Same happened to me on takeoff from LHR 27R today, no takeoff until 190kt and tailstrike - V1 was supposed to be 163.

Load calculations and weights from Simbrief. I beleive there is a problem here, as this does not happen in the same scenario with the Asobo 787X.

How do I get the correct CG?
