BATC Questions
1. Yes i have noticed a lot of hovering aircraft lately, moving and parked, something is wrong with the traffic in the last release of BATC. The airplanes are also doing wierd warping and spinning like a top. 2. Pretty much any airport that is from 2020 and was just dragged from 2020 to 2024 will have this issue if it's not from a top tier developer. I'd contact Stealthy Duck or look for an upgrade to MSFS2024. BATC can't read the airport correctly for some reason, and yes many stock airports have this issue as well.

KBCT and BATC
Don't have any interest in Boca Raton but If it hangs loading... it's the scenery. It was happeneing a lot when I was porting 2020 sceneries into 2024. Once I got 2024 certified sceneries it stopped, and I haven't seen it in several months now that most everything has a 2024. Unintstall the scenery and try it again, and if it loads that will give you your answer. I doubt it's a BATC issue.

PMDG 737 WASM crash: can be reproduced
I have only had a handful of WASM crashes and they have all been with inibuilds airplanes easpecially the A350 when it was new, but only when it was new. Never with PMDG. I have a theory that anything that changes the core of the addon or Sim causes WASM crashes, texture replacements, ipad backgrounds, model, lighting changes, anything that messes with nav data, airport nav data, etc. I have close to 300 addons. I use very few free addons. I don't trust most sceneries and especially don't trust ones that have dependencies. Good luck.

Beyond ATC is just not there yet
Yeah, something is up with this new release. I flew TUS to PHX and I got Approach to give me all instructions fine but then once I turned onto final for 26 it told me turn right 115. What? I ignored it and landed. That's one of the hand full of times it has messed up so badly I couldn't get anything to work after an instruction.

FSS E-Jets: v 0.10.36 public exp. out
Is anyone else having issue with the jets vertical guidance? VNAV and FLCH work, but in VS the jet starts bobbing up and down especially on descent and in APP on ILS it initally starts climbing then rapidly descending to capture the glideslope. Eventually it captures and worsk fine but that initial glideslope interaction is messy. Horizontal guidance seems to work fine. Was I supposed to delete the the jet then install the update. I just updated it. It would be nice to know if others had this issue.

787-9 Dreamliner for FS24 - Project Griffin Announcement
With out cockpit shots and working screen displays, I'm not holding my breath. The programming of the systems is the big time suck. Bluebird is even further along and still has no release date and they have busted the release date for over a year now. We are just now seeing working shots of the Synaptic A220. I wish people would think for a second, making these airplanes is as complicated as programming a real airplane. It's really quite amazing what we get for so little money. If it releases in 2026 great. If it doesn't I won't be surprised.

Any Decent KCLT Options?
They do seem to be pumping them out, but as I have pointed out to many, they need to update DFW first. It's way behind the current airport.

Any Decent KCLT Options?
It's not about current standards because the same can be said for many developers LVFR, Dominic, DDs older Airports. Same with Flightbeam KDEN. Just FYI... Inibuilds DFW was obsolete when it was released and honestly their paralax use on term A, B, C, and E are not up to standard when high end developers are making full terminal interiors. DFW now has a new terminal and 2 massive terminal extensions that are not depicted. Hell even Flightbeam SFO is out of date. We understand that there have been many changes to Charlotte, use default if you think it's better. Developers probably won't go near Charlotte right now as most developers won't touch rapidly developing airports for this reason. PacSim Salt Lake is the only one who offers up to date scenery on a regular basis. We're just now getting a high spec KATL and it's taken over 2 years to develop. Maybe you will get your wish someday. But as for now there is nothing in the pipeline that has been revealed. Same with most FSDT airports with the exception of Zurich (Mk Studios). There have only ever been a hand full of really good airports in MSFS many of them were ports Including Flightbeam and FlyTampa. There is a long list of airports needing update or "not up to standard." Have you seen X-Plane Airports.. yikes we have it really good in FS2024 land. I have a 14700, 4080 super and 64GB ram. I can run ANYTHING or any combination of addons.

Static aircraft, to be or not to be
I like them in areas where they are not at the gates, for instance Dzrwecki Design. KDCA, has intrusive amounts of static/animated aircraft. But most of their modern/newer sceneries have nice statics placed away from the terminals and in the more remote areas and it really adds to the realisim. At a real large airport there are insane amounts of aircraft just sitting everywhere or being serviced or worked on near hangars and remote stands. Pure AI airplanes leaves something to be desired, becuause I feel like you can never get to the number of planes there would be in real life no matter what the settings are so the static augmentation away from the terminals, makes the experience better for me.

A question about the Carenado C182
The 182Q or the 182RG? The only one 182 that is MSFS 2024 capable is the 182Q. So I'm going to assume this is the 182RG for 2020 since there is no mention of a GNS 430 and 530? The RG works in 24 but it's messed up. You can basically just hand fly it. Unfortuanetly, now we have to say which sim and which aircraft specifically. I really think we need to split the Forums into 2020/2024. Especially as 2020 users are coming over to 2024 after the big sim update.

Any Decent KCLT Options?
Yes, this is what I'm getting at. Like there is a magical developer that is better than FSDT that had done Charlotte but it's just a secret only AVSIMers know about. This was really just a post to caca on FSDTs Charlotte, which is still way way better than default. Posts like these are just like the 7 million BATC and SI posts. No developer that is better or worse than FSDT has a Charlotte in the works. Maybe if you're lucky Feel There will do KCLT in exquisite detail. One can only dream.

KORD STAR's - How do I fly them?
BATCs issue is that it leaves you high and hot most the time. I had every thing set up for a BENKY6 28 C arrival from Denver and then when I got there it turned to a 10C arrival. At PETAH at 8000 it gave me vectors of 330. BATC is okay but it always calls late. I could see what it was doing, once I got about 2 miles from the localizer it said turn right 070 descend and maintain 4000 which was okay since I was watching it but had I just been listening to ATC I would have been way too high I was going to intercept just before RAYYY but I needed to be 2300 AT RAYYY. Luckily I was smart and was already descending so the ILS was still captured just barely. So no you can use BATC but it won't improve anything yet. It olny does well when the STAR and APPROACH don't ever change. But in my case it changed when I got there so I set up everything in NAV and HDG, V/S ETC. It looked smooth but only because I was able to figure out what it was plotting and have I Navigraph Charts.

Any Decent KCLT Options?
There is no other Charlotte. A simple search of Google and flightsim.to would have told you that. If you don't like it dont buy it. I still think it's better than stock MSFS2024.

Gold Beach, Oregon (4S1) Preview
Awesome. Cant wait to fly down to Brookings and Cresent City. My Grandparents lived in for 60 years and died in Gold Beach and are buried there so we go every couple of years to honor them and have a bite to eat at the porthole and hang out at otter rock. Sadly I understand the Jetty Cats are gone. I have thought of doing this airport myself, it looks great can't wait to fly there.

Aerosoft CRJ Question
How are you engaging the auto pilot? Are you starting from cold and dark or started on the runway? You may have a conflicting key or peripreial assignment. FS2024 controls and key assignments are an absolute mess. Check all assignemnts for all periphrials If you start in the air does the autopilot work? Mach / trim / yaw dampers were all engaged. maybe not. try clicking them 1 by 1 while in the air and then try to activate the AP.

FSS Updates the EMB 175 and 195 again Experimental
I only use the 175 regularly, I have the 170, 190 and 195, but the us stopped using 19Xs so I fly it a lot less. My v10.31 E175 install has worked perfect on 3 flights now TUS-PHX, DFW-OKC and SLC-BZN. I flew it for 1.5 hrs. practicing take offs and transitions to departure. Did-some touch and gos, shot a few ils approaches. I'm quite chuffed with what progress has finally been made. No WASM crashes for me but I have only ever had one WASM crash in MSFS and that was on the ini A350 when it first came out. I have 64GB ram though so that might have something to do with it. I'm so glad they fixed all the wierd cockpit reflective surface issues that were present in the stable version.

KDFW released.....some observations already!!!
Yes, for me it is better than all of those so it's okay, it just isn't as good as FT, FB or even MK. But better than DD Newark for sure. Some developers like FSDT focus on performance, some developers like DD focus on details and quality. But some can do both and that's what seperates a top tier from a mid tier developer in my mind. iniBuilds airports are good, they just aren't amazing. I don't look forward to an iniBuilds release as much as I do FB, FT, Pyreegue or some other independent developers like Paulo Ricardo. This DFW was super hyped and for me it didn't deliver but maybe they will update it. They re-did EGLL so there is a possibility.

KDFW released.....some observations already!!!
No. Flightbeam KSFO and Flytampa Boston more detailed, just as large and have better performance with a fully modeled interior. Inibuilds LAX is my absolute worse performer follwed by EGLL, JFK and Honolulu. None of them have fully modled interiors yet have worse perfromance. Inibuilds is solidly upper mid tier, they are not a top teir scenery developer. There is never a good reason they can't do 3d interiors for all terminals with the new SDK options that FS2024 provides. A B C and E terminals look mostly the same so most of the same assets could have been used. But just like LA the paralax they chose looks really bad. Paralax should only be used on enclosed rooms like an aparment or hotel room or small office rooms, not open terminals. Terminal 1 at LAX looks good.. until you see an actual picture of terminal 1 and you see it looks like absolute word not allowed. Same with Terminal 2 and 3 and 5 and 6 and all the terminals except TBIT. They omit so many details in these sceneries and get a lot of things blatantly wrong. If they can't hit perfomance numbers, scrap the TBIT interior and improve the modeling and details airside. I'm starting to be convinced many in this forum never compare actual pictures to the scenery.

KDFW released.....some observations already!!!
My issues are numerous as they always are with inibuilds airports. 1. They always do one terminal really detailed and then make all the other terminals have unrealistic silly looking paralax. 2. Dead windows. They have a tendency to make these opaque windows but don't bother giving them a texture so they just look dead at night, in reality all of those windows have lights on inside. They should have made all the skytrain stations 3D with proper interior night lighting. Looks bad. 3. Performance is pretty bad but not any worse than other sceneries by inibuilds, but still worse than default DFW. 4. The current configuration of the airport and construction dates back to 2024. Currently both terminal A and E extensions are built and windows have been installed. I was expecting to see at least a shell or some beams in the shape of the terminal. Terminal F has already been built also. Hopefully they will provide these as a free update and not try to pull some V2 pay us again bull. 5. Some areas, espcially land side look absolutely terrible. places where ramps dont match, pg bleeds through, unrealistic road/parking lot textures. It's better than ImagineSim over all, but I was a little dissapointed. Everything works, it just isn't on the level of Flightbeam, Fly Tampa or even MKs newer releases. Inibuilds is solidly mid tier in my opinion.

Flying in China
I'm not chinese. I have only been to China and I think it's a cool place. In FS2024 I fly in China, I have WF ZSPD, ZBAA, ZGGG, ZSSS and VHHH. I also have Samscene ZSAM and ZHHH. I also have Shanghai City and Hong Kong City Times from Samscene I can say that my experience flying in China with 2024 is much improved and all the sceneries I listed gave me free upgrades to 2024 in Orbx Central. Just go to the product page and if you already have it it will show a free upgrade. The Default Airport scenery is pretty bad , but I was surprised at how much stock China is improved over FS 2020. Terrain is much better but still not on the level of US/Europe or Japan. I keep hoping for a China World Update but we never get one. There is a massive amount of scenery now covering China,Korea, Japan and East Asia in general... finally. Now if only we could get some good developers in India.

Drzewiecki Seattle, have 2 Space Needles.
Same with Samscene San Francsisco, 2 bay bridges. No way to fix it other than to get rid of City update 10.

FSS Releases Experimental Branches Of E-Jet Series Today
Seems to work with one big caveat, I still have it darting right at the approach fix. Coming into Salt Lake everything is fine until WEBER and the it just starts turning left like it always has. Apparently the LNAV issues are still numerous. I tried landing at Bozeman and figured out you have to be way below the glide slope for it to capture and only about 30 degrees of course which is fine but the altitude thing is wierd. Seems like it hunts for the loclaizer and then you dont get the glideslope because the plane is turning which is affecting speed. If your dead nuts on it works fine. The stable version works everytime for me. For Experimental you need to be at least one whole dot below the glide slope, my guess it the fidelity of the vertical guidance green arrow is off causing you to think you are below when in fact you aren't. They had that problem back at release 10 and people were getting frustrated with ILS approaches. It shows they kept their promise to keep working on it but it's far from finished.

PMDG 737-800 Set To Release 2025/12/18
All of the wording in Randazzo's post tells me we are going to be shocked on Thursday in a bad way. They play up the idea that this is essentally a new product and they play up how much work they put into it and how much has changed. They say that owners of the airplane purchased for MSFS2020 will get a "substantial discount." As I have learned that means probably less than 30%, I have never seen them give better than a 30% discount. Their last sale was 28% off. So given 30% I'm guessing something ridculous like $49.99 to $54.99 to upgrade from the -800 for 2020. If that is the case I'll be going without the -700 and -900. I paid $210 just 3 years ago for all 3. And I'm guessing it's going to be another $100-150 to get the -800 -900 and -700. I hope I'm wrong. $39.99 is the absolute max I'm willing to pay for the-800. It's not that I can't afford it, it's the principle of paying so much for something that was promised to be compatible from Microsoft. And....when we ported it over we all found out a few things didn't work but 95% of the jet did actually work in 2024. Many of us were expecting a patch to fix some minor issues for a year. And then we get the news 5 months ago they are doing a significant upgrade to the jet to make it compatible.... oh great. It feels disingenuous like, oh here is a golden opportunity to make a ton of money. "Oh, sorry guys the the jet dosen't work in 2024, instead of a compatibility patch we can use all the great new tools the new sim gives us to make some small erhm... I mean MAJOR upgrades and then charge 50 bucks all over again, we'll just be really vague about pricing. I mean We just could not make a patch there was just simply so much wrong. WE want you give you a QUALITY product. Our biggest supporters will gladly plunk down 40-50 bucks and everyone else will eventually give in because they want the jet. But.. we really have to play up how much we remodeled and changed on the jet and get real pilot buy in on the new features. So I am prepared to be mad but not surprised. Thursday. Also, I haven't flown the PMDG 737 NG so long I don't honestly remember if much is different from the MAX other than the display screen setup. Some of you want the the freight and BBJ version, but I have never flown them more than once so those mean nothing to me.

FBW A380X Alpha v0.14.0 & A32NX Stable v0.14.0 RELEASE
Wow what an incredible improvement in performance. I found it's best to delete your old 2020 port over folder and install fresh but man what a difference in smoothness and perfomance with the stable 4K version.

The first previews of the PMDG 737 for MSFS 2024
$19.99 or under i'll be okay. over that... I will have to reconsider my relationship with PMDG. As it is, I may not convert my 700 or 900 FS2020 purchase to 2024. Thursday will be interesting.
