Preview - More California GA Airports, KKIC and KCPU
Agree, I can add those where appropriate. KCPU isn't really a jet field

XWind Studio Long Beach Daugherty Field (KLGB) for MSFS 2024
The modeling is nice but it's a lot of details I wouldn't really need. FreakyD's excellent freeware version has always been my go-to for KLGB!

Preview - More California GA Airports, KKIC and KCPU
The previews are from within developer mode, if the airports are loaded as normal the regular parked traffic is there. Also some users report static aircraft are annoying and don't want them haha

Preview - More California GA Airports, KKIC and KCPU
Hi all, Here is a quick preview of two more GA fields for California that couldn't be more different. KKIC (King City) is south of Monterey in an agricultural and industrial area, and KCPU (Calaveras County) is in the Sierra foothills on a beautiful plateau. KKIC KCPU

Maybe to you, others are probably happy to have something half decent if the price is reasonable. Unless one is intimately familiar with a particular airport, it can be fairly hard to judge anyway. I am certainly in no position to judge, as my small freeware airports are #%$^ compared to any of the big developers.

Nonetheless it is available. You would prefer nothing?

Preview - San Martin (E16) and Hollister (KCVH)
Hello sim friends, I have been pecking away at more small SF Bay Area GA airports and these two are getting close to being ready. Some of you familiar with the Monterey or San Jose area have definitely been to these airports before, or have at least driven by. Hollister (KCVH) San Martin (E16) - collaboration with Goneflyin'

Sorry, I thought you were asking why there are not as many MSFS equivalents as those released for P3D originally..? Perhaps I read that wrong. MSFS20 scenery is usually compatible with 24, but sometimes only partially. The 24 SDK is quite different and even more expansive than the one for 20. The LOD engine is also substantially different, which means some models and even materials need to be reworked. So there's a possible barrier to porting over to MSFS24 from 20. And again, if sales volume wasn't strong in FSX/P3D for a particular title, it may not be worth developing from scratch for MSFS in general.

As I have a bit of experience making scenery now I'll venture an educated guess that it comes down to efficiency and ROI. In some cases, especially late-stage P3D development, there may not be a lot of rework needed to port a project into MSFS. In other cases, especially older sceneries for those other sims, the amount of rework necessary would probably be the same as starting over fresh. Because the tools in MSFS are much more expansive, the workflow is possibly not worth the effort if the developer thinks the sales volume in P3D was insufficient to justify the time investment for the next sim. Again take with a grain of salt, but that's my best guess as to why.

Marina Municipal (KOAR) Early Testing
I added a small VFR enhancement to the Monterey area and also updated the KOAR scenery with an improved model for one hangar users said wasn't looking good. It is unfortunate actual PG has not been added to this region in any of the WUs, so for now this is a stopgap.

+2 for an updated MMMX, that is a major need. I would have added MMSD, but a freeware developer released a good version for MSFS24. Also agree with SBGL. The Asobo version has always felt quite flat despite being far better than default. Existing YSSY and SCEL are just fine IMO.
