  2. Welcome gb09f. I typed this in Google Search; “msfs 2024 best smoothness at busy airports taxiing” and got this AI response. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B Achieving maximum smoothness while taxiing at busy airports in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024) requires optimizing for CPU performance, as the simulator is highly CPU-bound, particularly at complex airports. Key adjustments involve lowering specific settings, limiting framerates, and managing traffic levels to reduce micro-stutters. The instructions that follow are substantial and useful from my perspective as a 40+ year flight simmer. I hope this has been helpful.
  3. As an anecdotal observation, the a340 seems to work correctly now using SAP vis’ a vis’ the WinCTRL MCDU. No freezing on a five hour flight. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B
  4. Both focused on system stability. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B ## iniBuilds A340 Airliner v1.0.11 Out Now! ✈️ This update targets fixes to core aircraft systems 🖥️ and addressing several system-level issues affecting day-to-day operations. 🛫 ### WASM Stability & Performance Improvements 🛠️ After extensive work on WASM stability, we've rolled out major under-hood-optimisations. 5. Same here. Definitely room for improvement. -B
  6. Sounds like you got the crew of “Washouts”. Probably contract LoL! -B
  7. I fully agree with sd_flyer and if I may, offer a few thoughts of my own. With an entry cost of entry only $29.95 US. It’s called the “base package”, and it is a one time cost. The $59.95 US version is called the “supporter package”. It too is one time purchase and the extra $30.00 gets you a seat at the table with the development teams. Alpha discussions and beta product. But all of it is focused on building an evolving and changing product for end user of ATC simulation. The name of that evolving and changing product is…wait…you guessed it, Base Package” So it’s clear to see that no more than $30.00 is needed for hours of dynamic and engaging entertainment. Sure sometimes the controllers get dorky but mostly they stay on script, and I have found I can safely ignore the dorks with little risk or penalty, which is fine by me. As Pilot in Command I have ultimate responsibility and authority. For me the greater value is the constant back and forth chatter of controller and virtual pilots, the UI which I find brilliant for its use and purpose and lastly the handoffs to and from controllers in various facilities and functions. A five hour cross CONUS flight never gets boring, I assure you. TMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B
  8. Wow! This just happened to me twice in 15 minutes. KATL/KDEN. Took off got the plane climbing on autopilot in a trimmed and stable state. Figured I would go outside and admire my new plane and my exemplary airmanship and then I saw it immediately. Big as life. Nose gear hanging down and we’re passing 240 on the CUTTN2. Huh? How? Me? I checked PMDG’s “Failures” page in the CDU. There was a failure, one. Oil. Red text. Clear it, I typed with a press of an LFK and it did. Voila! Red all gone. My ship was once again 100% mechanically sound. Back outside, Drat! Nose gear still hanging down. Cycle gear no change. Only part of frontal gear system that moved were the doors. Thinking it might have been self induced I closed the session and reloaded it. Replicated my steps including GSX and took off only to see that nose gear hanging once again. I quit! I got plenty other planes to fly. I just did this same flight in my Aerosoft 340-600 and am planning on doing the same In Asobo 747 with WinCTRL FMS/EFIS and CDU (PFP 4) Now though, after learning the fix is “already in”, I want to see how the just repaired 737 flys and what it means to have BATC Integration. Decisions, decisions. I Guess my 747 flight got delayed! 😊 -B
  9. You’re welcome. Must be SPAD complete tho for CDU/MCDU. Good luck, it’s really quite easy and the ini 340 was why I bought SPAD in the first place. Now it is quickly becoming my new go to software wedge between flight simulator and my various pieces of hardware which are now quite numerous. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B.
  10. While I can’t tell you what is causing the a340-300’s MCDU screen to freeze, it ain’t the plane. How do I know? Until very recently I waited in vain for SimApp to get the situation under control. Just like you disappointed over and over. Then I purchased SPADNext COMPLETE and it comes with a profile for the ini a340 that works flawlessly. After 3 or so flights of multi-hour duration (cross country KLAX-KJFK) with no freezing it has become clear to me the fault lies in SimApp Pro, NOT. the ini a 340-300. YMMV TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B
  11. Why? Not hardware. Software. Thanks for your views. Blue skies, -B
  12. Mostly for the PMDG 737-700. 13. My opinion also, so don’t take this as Gospel but the 2020 787 was drekware when first released but after a couple of years with extensive development by the WT team, especially concerning the FM and the FMS/CDU i found it to be an acceptable facsimile of 787 flight. Mind you I said facsimile not study level. The Horizon is based entirely on the 2020 787 warts and all and for FREE it more than suffices. YMMV TANSTAAFL Blue skies, -B
  14. As a former pro controller and instructor, a long time IRL private pilot and with a 40+ year background in flight simulation (first simulator was Bruce Artwick’s “Flight Simulator circa 1980 and just about every simulators since) and after using many ATC simulator programs (as an ATC Instructor) and ATC add ons for flight simulation, I have a qualified point of view that makes me feel comfortable making this one minor correction to your statement above, change “It ain’t ready yet” to “In my personal opinion it ain’t ready yet”. Blue skies, -B
  15. THIS. Agreed. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. BLUE SKIES, -B
  16. Unless your funds are unlimited, the PMDG 737-700 is a steal at $30.00, Full Stop. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B
  17. From my understanding it’s now a WIP for the developers. Previously they had no way to implement a tilt function in WX RADAR. Now that Asobo has give the developers a path forward, the developers must now pick up the ball and carry it across the finish line. My take at least. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -ab
  18. Not quite true. Under SU5 beta the windscreens of all Fenix planes are covered with reddish splotches, much like your car may appear after a large flock of well fed geese pass overhead. Fenix has acknowledged the issue and stated they do not plan on addressing this until Post SU5 beta. Blue skies, -B
  19. True story. Almost 30 years ago when MSFS got its first Lear Jet (MSFS 98) one of my favorite pastimes was to depart KBAB where I was stationed as an Air Traffic Controller and cruise on down to the Bay stopping for T&G’s at KOAK then KSFO always with a full stop destination of Moffett NAS. There was something about those Blimp Hangers that made it “As real as it gets!” for me. Silly in hindsight but still…I will value a visit to your updated version if you decide to release it. I’m sure I won’t be disappointed based upon your efforts as documented here. Blue skies, -B
  20. I purchased the BATC Supporter version after reviewing both offerings on the BATC website. I am well pleased by the extra functions and features available through the Supporter’s version. I am also well pleased with BATC, warts and all. I have been flying real airplanes and flight simulators for 45+ years now. I am also a fifteen year Air Traffic Controller and Instructor (retired). In my memory this is the simplest and most engaging ATC product I’ve ever used and I’ve used many over the years. In my mind an investment in BATC, EA or Supporters will not disappoint. YMMV TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B ,
  21. Ok then. Glad you got it all figured out. -B
  22. I’m. With. Dad. YMMV. TANSTAAFL. Blue skies, -B

  24. Respectively I see nothing wrong with the OP post. If it bothers you perhaps you need to take a break from Avsim and take your shoes off, walk outside and touch some grass. Respectfully. -B
