Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm thinking about picking up a few more airports in Europe. Specifically Aerosoft's Brussels, is this well optimized? It seems like it has a ton going on and I don't want to turn my sim into a slide show so I try to focus on great quality airports that are well optimize. Also looking at flytampa's Amsterdam and Corfu. I have same questions about these. I fly mainly airliners. Lot of flying with Fenix a320 and I just picked up the pmdg 737-800 so I will be doing some flights with that. In Europe I currently have Belfast and Athens so I am just looking to fill in some flight routes since Belfast to Athens is a bit of a hike.

When i start the sim, everything is fine... Then, at random (It doesnt happen straight away, very weird....) when i switch from a custom wing view to the cockpit, the weird shimmering starts as you can see.... Then i change something simple in the settings and it goes away... any ideas? This did not happen before the update... So to summarize, it does not start like this, my FPS are good, no issues. I tend to fly quite often in the Southern part of England with Popham as my base. I own Burning Blue Design’s Popham and really like it… especially when RW26 is in use 😉 With the current MP sale I want to get a few more of the Burning Blue Design airfields in the area. Do any of you have some recommendations, favourites etc.?

Can anyone tell me if there is the is the option to select airspeed intervention when in the VNAV/LNAV mode in the 787-10. Also, when in the ILS approach mode and the AP is disengaged, this aircraft jumps and becomes very unstable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Probably one I should be asking Thrustmaster but asking here on the off chance that someone here has encountered this issue. Having installed this device, everything works as expected except that every time I hit the escape key to pause the sim, then resume, full flaps are deployed. Anyone had and fixed this? Also, what effect do virtual buttons have? I did Google it but am still none the wiser. Thanks

Hey guys, It has been a while since I have simmed. Something like 10 months; I just want to know what the best way is to reset all settings to default (I know it is saved on cloud). I do not want to reinstall (that doesn't solve the problem as it redownloads the settings anyway). I need the cloud settings to be set to default also. Is it in control panel - programs and files - MSFS2020 and do reset settings? Thank you and Happy New Year 2024

I'm usually a little late to most parties and MSFS addon planes aren't any different. I waited a while to get the ATR, mostly because I like to wait a little while for devs to iron out any kinks there might be. I was interested in the ATR because I could fake a lot of Porter Airlines Dash 8 flights out of Toronto City Centre. After a few days, I'm really glad I picked this one up, especially for 12 bucks. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me. I understand how to calibrate the throttles on the flight deck-no issue. My problem is that when I am trying to use the throttles in the Fenix the throttles are very jerky and all over the place. I have a Saitek Yoke with just one lever for my throttles which works perfectly well in my PMDG 777 in P3D. I would therefore like to know within MSFS the best way to calibrate the throttle to the axis and what the sensitivity should look like. Should I be calibrating to Throttle Axis 1 or 2? I was using the ESC key to get to the controls options screen (where one sets keyboard shortcuts and controller sensitivity). Did something ????????? and now when I press the ESC key nothing happens. How do I find and get back to this controls options screen?

I currently have the Heavy Division 787 mod, but looking forward to the official update soon. I have the following installed in my community folder: Asobo_B787_10_BritishAirways G-ZBLA (B78XH) B78XH-main Frex-Livery-787-BAW livery-b787-baw Should I remove all of these files before the update? Also, where can I download a British Airways repaint that will be compatible with the new update?

Just had a popup on starting the sim, asking me If i wanted to load UI Data from my PC or from the cloud. It said the cloud data was newer but showed both data sets as dec 31 with no time stamps, I loaded from UI Data from PC. First time I've seen this and I've had the sim since release . I'm confused over what exactly UI Data is. Is it just how the interface looks/behaves which would be something beyond user ability to change and therefore Asobo is changing stuff, or does it refer to the data containing my settings and it backed that up to the cloud yesterday without me doing anything?

It's been like this for a long time now, but I remember it wasn't all the time, namely if you suddenly add or reduce throttle, prop or mixture, the corresponding control in the VC reacts, but slowly, with a lag. Usually I don't mind cause I don't jerk the primary controls, but there are times when I do mind, like today when I tried to strart WB 172 by adding mixture and can't due to this 'effect'. Is there a fix for that? When did it start? (BTW I don't use FSUIPC to calibrate axis, just the free version)

Anyone else getting constant alerts and then 'successfully connected' again quickly afterwards? It's kind of ruining the realism for me, so just wondered if there is anything I can do about it? Thanks.

Really frustrated about this, want to get to fly the Fenix and frustrated. I will get right to the problem. My CH Yoke works with all my planes including the PMDG 737 series and Fly the Maddog When the Fenix is in the air my CH Yoke works fine, the specific issue is when I am on the ground I can't turn left or right or even adjusting the throttle Any suggestions would greatly appreciate. Hi folks, I'm new to this MSFS2020. I wanted to know where the scenery that I download is located at. For example, I installed MSFS into its own SSD and the path where I be installing future aircraft / scenery is directed as (M:\MFS2020\Community) in which I already have a few add-on scenery / aircraft installed. However, when I start up MSFS and go to the General Options > Data > Rolling Cache Path it shows the following: ( C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community ). When I looked in that folder, it is empty. If I were to change the path in the General Options > Data > Rolling Cache …

Suddently the click spots are not working properly anymore at the fenix a320. It has been always tricky to get the lights set up, but now I also have issues with AP and other instruments. Why is that? I haven't had changed anything, but it got worse. Does anyone experience the same lately? Any idea?

Hi guys, With the new Fenix A320v2 coming and the new variants this one heavily has my attention. However, I am fully in the dark about the support of my Skalarki FCU (DesktopLine)... Skalarki does not provide a profile. Fenix wants me to buy a ProSim license? On simMarket I see a driver for Fenix and Skalarki and also Spad.Next offers support for Skalarki. Does anyone has the A320 with a Skalarki device and if so, how did you set it up? Thanks! Erik
