January 17, 20242 yr I just wanted to check that I'm not missing something obvious here. So when flying with AI going on (I use "Carsten's GA mod", but essentially any AI), I am constantly hearing the same voice for the AI pilots, as the ATC. Talk about an immersion killer! So the ATC instructs an AI aircraft to "decend and maintain 6,000"...... then the same voice is used for the pilot reading back. I just don't remember this being so prevalent until recently. Now it's pretty much permanent and just leads me to tune out of the frequency! I have "AI Offline" and a setting of 20 in the Traffic page. I have "Azure" set in the Sound page. I have the default pilot (ie. me) also set in the sound page. Am I missing some hidden setting for pilot voices or ATC voices? It's literally always the same voice for AI pilots and ATC at the moment. 😡 Edited January 17, 20242 yr by JYW Bill 😎 FS2024 • PMDG 738, 777F & 777-200LR • Fenix A319, A320, A321 • TFDi MD-11 • AS/ToLiss A346 • iFly 737 MAX8 • Ini A340 • AS CRJ v2 • Ini A300 Premium • FSS 727F • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • All BLACKSQUARE aircraft • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW C24R Sierra & C414 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro 9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000 NPPL licence holder in the UK
January 17, 20242 yr As with any time someone brings up the default ATC, someone (this time me) will point out that default ATC is abysmal and many of us just turn it off. The reason you're getting the same voice is that there's a small number of voices for the system to choose from. Whenever a new pilot or controller comes into range, a number is assigned, apparently at random. This means eventually the random number generator will hit on the same voice for two (or more) different currently active stations.
