Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Pre MSFS 2024 release, I had pretty stutter free performance in MSFS2020, even at places like iniBuilds EGLL with traffic. I now get stutters (particularly on approach and when flaring) at most big airports (didn't happen before). Just now, on approach to EGLL in PMDG 777, I got a couple of stutters on final and then when flaring a big stutter. After the stutter, it goes back to being completely smooth. This has all happened post release of MSFS 2024; I haven't made any other changes to the system. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to reduce them or what could be causing them?

There were several button settings in my Bravo Quadrant Profile in the right hand column (don't know how they got there because they made no sense). I was able to delete all except ONE. I click on the trash can, the circle spins in the lower right corner of the screen, the box where the button was goes blank, and I go back and save. When I return to the profile - the deleted entry is still there. I can change the entry to any button or axis I wish and those changes are accepted and remembered. But, I cannot delete it! HELP! The action is "Hold Reverse Thrust" and I really do not want that to activate when unexpected.

Using MSFS2020 and most of hardware still works using this method This short sequence (out of memory) may help: Install FSX + Acceleration Install GoFlight configuration (to be downloaded on their site) and set it on FSX Look for the GFDevFSX.exe file from the GoFlight folder (Programme Files (x86)/ GoFlight > GFDevFSX.exe) and create a shortcut on your desktop (or launch it automatically via Addon-Linker if you have it) Start MSFS Load your flight and start GFDevFSX.exe concurrently Has anybody tried this in MSFS2024? Thought I would give career mode a go and started light cargo missions but was a bit disappointed that all missions had clear skies (even when selecting the clouds option) with no wind whatsoever. Was getting a bit boring. I saw somewhere that getting your IFR rating will unlock weather options and did that but now I am locked into real world weather with no option to select custom weather in case I want to fly a mission where the airports are IFR. I can not find a option to fly IFR missions and if I do take off I am denied permission to land because the airport is closed = failed mission. Is there a way to change the the option in career mode to custom weather.

MS2024 won't load fully...it get hung at either 61% or 97%...I've tried deleting all my addons, doesn't help...any help is appreciated...

I am fairly confident in my knowledge of how to both save and retrieve each of the 10 available Custom views available for each cameras.cfg file stored in the Airplanes folder for each individual aircraft. This process is the same as it was in 2020! Apart from the fact I am disappointed that the available number has not increased, I have found that many of the default aircraft contain various random images either within the cabin or external even though, in most cases, there is no camera.cfg file present. How do you get those dots outside of the aircraft, so that you can check alerions, elevator etc etc

I am trying to install the Frame Gen Mod but am not having success. Hey, I got a new samsung 75” TV and using HDMI 2.0 4k cable. I’m running at 4k and 60hz but when i try to turn on HDR in windows 10 it slides back to off? I’m also using RGB and dynamic range full. It seems i may need to upgrade to a HDMI 2.1? Using a RTX3080ti

After loving the majestic q400 in P3d and their stating they are looking into a port for msfs (a port after all these years? I’m doubtful we will ever see this), I am losing hope for a dash 8 in the sim. Actually a turboprop commuter would really be welcome like a Saab 2000 or Pmdg’s jet stream 31 or something bc like that. The ATR has always just seemed a bit weird in the way it flies and had lots of bugs. Are there any prospects of decent commuter turbines coming?

The 2020 aircraft that you may have running in 2024 likely still use the earlier version of the WT G1000. Loading a complex flight plan in the EFB may not work correctly. If that happens to you, try editing the panel.cfg file for the airplane (or mod) and change the G1000 to the V2 version. Hello, I have couple of issues with GSX in MSFS 2024. But, I am not sure if this is due to MSFS 2024 or is something else amiss. 1) Mostly I can't use the application shortcut (ctrl+shift+f12 by default). I have to activate it in the drop down menu, so that it is white (I guess that is normal behaviour), but little later, even if the icon is white with the dot, using the shortcut doesn't pop up GSX. I have to then really deactivate it (not white) and activate again, and then I can again use the shortcut to show GSX, but only for a while. And so the circle goes. I am using RealTurb v2 with MSFS flying the Fenix A320. I set MSFS turbulence settings to Low as advised by Fenix but I’m not sure about the appropriate RealTurb settings. So I've had enough of trying to get the TDS GTN working with 2024, even after all the suggestions on Discord, multiple install and uninstalls I'm having no luck. However, I can't for the life of me get the TDS splash screen to go away during MSFS2024 start up sequence and now that the program isn't installed anymore it even throws an error screen that I need to click to get past. Hi All. When starting a flight in the Asobo C172 G1000 aircraft, when I come to enter a flightplan it seems hit and miss as too whether it recognises waypoints, VORs and whether it will allow me to enter airways. I always use the same method of flightplan loading but sometimes it takes everything, ie waypoints VORs and allows me to load airways and other occasions it won't accept either, Is anyone else having same issues. ATC personnel have no eyes (Asobo ATC). Sometimes taxi to gate leads to a gate occupied by another plane. Since it is not real life, I wonder what to do, because the sim wants me in that gate, and never mind the excuses. It may have been a long flight and I want the reward of completing the assigned task.

I do like toggling on Airport POI markers, but I do not like the excessive number of H POI's. I did bind 2 keys to turn both of them off, but the other key turns both of them on. I JUST want to be able to see the Airport POI's, which help me to navigate to those airports in VFR flying. I can't seem to find the right setting to eliminate the H POI's. Thanks

IIRC this was delayed initially from a Summer release due to the impending MSFS24 release so pushed back to Feb? Is that right? Kinda concerned that it'll be (...and to be fair should be...) all hands on deck to repair the mess that is MSFS24 so fully expecting SU16 to be delayed again, but either way was there an update to this release in the past few weeks/months? thanks

I notice that a lot of the ground textures have a brown overlay. In some places, I guess this could be realistic. In other places - I'm not so sure. Hi all, sorry if this is already covered somewhere and has become buried. I’ve got past the initial issues (was on holiday so had no choice but to wait). I’ve been muddling through setting up controllers etc, the sim suggested Ultra settings for my PC (recently new CPU due to an issue and a 3090 24gb gfx card). The problem/concern I have is this - not just in the menus like I’ve read, but in all circumstances the sim is pushing towards 100% GPU use, causing fans to be at full tilt etc. I’ve tried mirroring my FS2020 settings that work well for me (and of course at times the GPU is pushed there too but not all of the time) but the reduction in some se…
