Just ran latest update to AS, and now no weather. Had to go back to MSFS Live weather.

My controllers are as per my signature. Until today there have been no issues with the parking brake. Being set on Button #3 on the joystick. It still is working on that button, but there seems to be a conflict, in that when I release the parking brake and apply throttle, the revs build up, but no forward movement, until I release the parking brake again! This also happens when I am moving and require to stop e.g. for other traffic or a holding point. The controller settings have not changed either. This is immaterial of any type of aircraft being manoeuvred. Any thoughts would be most welcome ti identify this issue. Martin

The day after 2024 was released (which I think was about 6 weeks ago?) I signed up for the $1 Game pass 2 week trial. I decided not to buy it based on that trial and continued tuning my newly acquired Pimax CL for 2020. Anyway having found the sweet spot settings for the Pimax in the last few days, I considered buying 2024 to see how it would go. Before doing that it crossed my mind that perhaps I could get another 2 week game pass trial at this stage and indeed I could. All the same account info. Global Trees was "Auto Installed" onto my PC. But where ? It is not in my 2024 community folder.

I have a question for the first certificate test in Career mode, that of Private Pilot. I'm told by the instructor to "show them my best left traffic", but then my pilot announces on the CTAF that he's making right traffic. Do I make left or right traffic to pass? Also, once I get in the pattern, the guidance for landing indicates the opposite runway, in other words, taking off on Rwy 21 and landing Rwy 3. Is that what's required to pass? It makes no sense.

I messed up my keyboard assignments and erased all of them. I uninstalled msfs2024 and installed it again but it did not go back to the original key assignments. how can I uninstall and reinstall back the original a joystick and keyboard assignments?

CH is based in Germany and used to make high quality classic planes for FSX. They have released the Klemm 25. The original small sports touring plane from the 1920s was a success because it was easy to fly, and cheap to purchase and to maintain. It could fly extremely slow without stalling but could do aerobatics and had a ceiling of 25,000 feet. The world's planes were mainly biplanes, the Klemm 25 was a monoplane with a low cantilever wing.

Has anyone gotten KLAX to work in 2024? It is the only INIBuilds that I have that I can't seem to get it working. It is in my Community folder and I disabled the MS version in Marketplace but it doesn't look like it works. I get no terminal buildings and the cars in the parking lot float. Seeing if anyone got this working or if I need to wait. JFK, SAT, DTW, BUF, and PSP works fine for me MKE stutters but everything looks correct

I've been doing most of my flights in 2020 - clean crisp responsive reliable and bug free. Today I tried 2024 again - everything was great and I had a decent FPS with the GPU at ~90% and main thread plus additional threads at a reasonable time. Mostly high settings with LODs at 200 in VFR at 5000'. The scenery was not as clear and crisp as in 2020. I was in the Cascade mountain range foothills and Mt Rainer looked a bit melted (global warming I suppose) and the other mountains were just a bit blurry and off color. Seeing that I fly exclusively in VR, 2024 with it's issues is a no go for me (never bought or installed it). I'm curious about the 2D and VR flyers here on Avsim.

C172 has disappeared from the plane selections. What happened?

I'm talking about plane sounds. I had purchased 152, 172, and Cirrus SOUNDS in MSFS 2020. I check the Marketplace Library everyday and it looks like they are not going to be restored. What's the deal on purchased sounds?

I still have this problem where when I pan around with the mouse, the fps will drop for a split second and cause a stutter. I turned off the rolling cache, which I thought, helped, but it's still happening. Not sure what else to try. Here's a short video that shows it. Framerate is pretty stable around 37, but it drops when panning....

After transfer of the community files from 2020 tp 2024 I noted that the T-33 was shown in MSFS2024 in the available aircraft list and in My Library (STREAMED). In 2020 the T-33 flies really fine and behaves very convincing during flight. In 2024 however when I advance the throttle slowly, as soon as I reach 70% the throttle % suddenly and repeatedly falls back to 30%. I also note that the fuel reserve LOW light is active. Even when I try to add fuel to the plane with the configuration panel this appears to have no effect. So my question is if this is a compatibility issue between the T-33 and FS2024 or that I am overlooking something?

Anyone using Parallel 42 Flow Pro in MSFS2024? I am confused on how to nominate a key to initiate it.

Hi everyone, I'm running out of patience regarding the setup of my Thrustmaster Boeing pack. I have managed to configure a preset that was satisfying for mono-engines planes, but things got out of control when I tried to configure the quadrant for multi engine planes. The thrust levers operate mixture instead of thrust, even though everything seems to be configured properly. Long story short, could anyone share their preset file for that particular product? RIght now, I'm not even able to use FS any more 😞 Thanks!

I have never used 2020 and was getting ready to pull the trigger and get into fs2024. I will want to be flying Boeing airliners with some of the hardware add-ons and not really interested in the careers/missions. I am seeing that there are currently not a lot of options as PMDG and iFly are all waiting to be able to get their planes going on 2024. So I was wondering if I would be better served to start with 2020 and learn all the ins an outs of the aircraft/Vatsim, etc. and then move up to 2024 when things get sorted out. I walked away from MSFS simulator this morning, realizing that both MSFS 2020 and 2024 look dismally and universally bad. But before you go bunkers, please let me try to explain why. While both simulators look great within a short distance, anything beyond 10 miles looks unrealistic and distorted. This is also true with maxed-out graphics settings and a 4K OLED resolution monitor. The underlying reality is that when you’re up in the air, the distant horizon should look credible and compelling, not blurry, saturated, and distorted. What is the latest info regarding FLOW in MS2024?

The AzurPoly OV-10 is one of my favorite aircraft in 2020 and I want to fly it in 2024. The AzurPoly discord page shows the OV-10 to be 2024 compatible. I fly the OV-10 out of the community folder in 2020 and that works. I put the OV-10 in the 2024 community folder. When in the 2024 sim and looking at My Library: I find the OV-10 in community but it is grayed out with two text boxes showing: Disabled and "Restart the Sim". I select options and enable and then restart the sim. The OV-10 remains disabled and nothing I do will enable it. I have had good luck enabling many other addons so I know that process works.
