Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi. Has anybody got the Saitek multi panel working in FS 2024 or any other Saitek panel for that matter?

Hi, 1) I no longer see airspaces (or option to show) in the world map to plan flights around them. 2) After planning a route in the world map, the EFB map always shows my plane icon on the other side of the world....no where close to my planned route. There is no way to center on my route or to move the plane icon to my route in the EFB Map. Navigating the EFB map seems a bit convoluted. 3) I get that the EFB is more detailed may serve a better, deeper purpose (very casual simmer here). But the task of quickly planning a route, then saving that route just seems more complicated now in MS24 than MS20. Unless I am missing something. I appreciate any help…

I only have a backup of the AIG folders so I'm not sure if I can start this new version directly in MSFS2024 mode... so I'll probably wait until the first experiences roll in.

Hey, I’m running multi monitor for my homecockpit. I have set left and right view to 1080p full screen but i want to run my front screen in window mode at 1080p But when i stay in window mode it doesn’t set 1080p only when i go into full screen? How do i set 1080 when in window mode guys? Thanks

Steam MSFS 2024 I get the Sound settings just the way I like them (different devices for com and airplane/environment) and % set to what I like to hear. The next time the Sim starts all sound settings return to system default and 100%. How do I make the sim restart with my desired sound settings? I have finally got the profiles for my Bravo quadrant, TA 320 flight stick, ch yoke, ch pedals, mouse, keyboard working perfectly. But, everytime the sim starts all the choices are returned to default profiles. I have to manually change each profile back to my specialized profiles. Is there a way to make the sim start with a specified set of profiles?

I am finding that MSFS 2024 is not 'Profile Following' my custom profiles for the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo. I set up my controls, after choosing say the 152 aircraft, creating duplicates for general and airplane as required. I save them and even press the "Set as Default" option. As soon as I restart the sim the 152, 172, 737 etc all resort to using the default "Alpha Flight Controls 2024 Transversal" profile. I have to always go into the controls and manually select the correct profile (which still shows as having the default option enabled). Why on earth are they not linking to the aircraft? Hi all, I wonder why this was not yet discussed: what do you think about those trees? I mean, it is pretty obvious that the switch to fully 3D trees is a biggie. But talking about big things: to me, it seems that they are again 25% or even more too tall. Did Asobo learn nothing about all those discussion on tree height in MSFS2020? Or is my impression just wrong? How do those see the size and height of the novel trees that already used the tech alpha?

Apologies if this should be in the hardware forum, but it is specific to MSFS, so I hope it's OK to post here. Essentially, I want to begin a brand new cockpit build, based around a triple, 4K monitor setup. However, I'm finding it difficult to understand how I could get anywhere near the kind of performance I would find acceptable when flying the PMDG 738, (smooth 30fps) with all the additional addons, things like GSX, BATC, Atmos weather, FS Realistic, real weather, etc. Some airports with my current setup return a FPS of about 35 when sat at the gate, mostly around 35-40. Finally installed my pre purchased copy of MSFS2024 this weekend. Wanting to ensure that the sim was configured properly (installed on its own E: drive NVME, Cache & Community in custom directories on the same drive ) i briefed myself with a video or two and went ahead with the install. The installation process was smooth and the customization wasn't too bad to complete. Server performance was good for the installation and got my custom folders up and running. Cant complain. Set up my GPU framegen and applied my usual gpu overclock to the game profile which was auto detected by my graphics card driver. Works no issue .. great! (Thank You AMD!) Startup i…

Why this did not occur to me earlier, I do not know.. I just copied the asobo g36 from the 2020 Official folder to the "Official2020\OneStore" folder, and for good measure used my Addons Linker to activate the BSQ A36 as well as my Rob Young Turbo mods.. Guess what, it all works! 🙂 Now I can wait for the new G36 to be fixed.. no rush..

Just did a very nice flight in the Asobo Bonanza G36 - everything was default MSFS 2024. When looking about from outside the cockpit (on the ground or in the air) there is clear, crisp, and nicely colored scenery. Looking thru the windshield from inside the cockpit - there is very little contrast, blurry images, and a bit of tint. I know this has been discussed previously and I remember "clean glass" mods being mentioned. But, if anything has changed with the last two updates - the windshield effect has worsened to the point I hardly want to fly any of the GA aircraft. I've tried altering various parameters but nothing seems to diminish the blurring and lack …

Just drop your 2020 747/787 and default liveries in your 2020 Official2020/Official2020/Onestore just like you did to activate the Black Square Analog Gauge TBM and KingAir 350. Works as good as it did in 2020 AND you get Simbrief integration back with FP and W&B. Edit: in my testing the 747 works but the 787 is problematic. Installing it causes the 2020 AND the 2024 787 to disappear. If anyone knows of a solution or work around plz share. Good Luck, -B

Please Help! I wanted to purchase the MIG-25 from Marketplace (46% off until third of januari)... But it doesent work! ( it only comes up a sign/box telling me purchase is pendeing and/or after that, purchase canselled!)😡 I have tryed EVERYTHING! Installt/uninstall Xbox/MS store/loging in and out etc etc etc! I even did blow the whole comuter clean and did a complete vanilla install of msfs 2020! To no avail! This is crazy... What on earth is wrong? I got a new SSD on a killer boxing day sale, installed it and finally decide to pull the trigger on buying MSFS 2024... I've been trying to finish the installation of it for the day and a bit and regardless of whether I start it from the XBOX app or using the executable on the drive the installation process keeps hanging up on the Customize Identity screen. Sorry if this has already been posted, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how you resolved it. Thanking you in advance

All the profiles I have created and saved as default are enabled by default when I start MSFS2024. However, both profiles for my Logitech Extreme 3D joystick are not loaded by default. I always have to switch from the default MSFS2024 profiles to my own profiles. Which is quite annoying. Anyone having the same problem? Any solution for this? I removed the profiles, created them again, etc. but nothing helps. BTW In the meantime I have reinstalled Windows 11 again (for other reasons) and even on the new install this problems remains.

I was very happy to see MSFS2024 has a headphone simulation option (some sort of noise cancelling although it sounds more like a lower volume setting). However, it's a 'system wide' option... Now there are keys to turn this option on and off (or to toggle it) but none of them work on my PC. Has anyone been able to get those keys to actually work?

I never really use the default pushback option but today MSFS2024 positioned me too close to a building so I pressed the default pushback key expecting it would push me backwards in a straight line until I pressed the key again. This would give me some room to make the turn for taxi without accidents. This is how it worked in the past afaik. And if I wanted to make a turn during taxi I would have to press certain keys somehow to get that done (which I never really got to work properly). However, to my surprise this time the pushback automatically started a turn, straightened out again and stopped when I was perfectly aligned in the appropraite direction for taxi... w…

Just done a little flight in the 172 up the east coast of England. I had HWMonitor app running alongside to monitor cpu speeds and temps. On completing the flight I was extremely surprised and shocked to see most cores on my AMD 7800x3D hitting max speeds of over 5.5 Ghz with 3 cores showing a whopping 6.907 Ghz. I do have a negative curve optimiser set in the BIOS at -30 and temps capped which does gain me better performance and higher scores in Cinebench but I have never seen speeds like this before. I have no idea how long they peaked at these speeds. Any thoughts guys? Chris
