Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Not sure if anyone uses the Moza base with your side stick, but I bought the desk mount compatible with it and thought you can mount it suspended from your desk. I bought the Moza flight base clamp as well. I haven't figured this out yet and couldn't find anything online. Anyone have a solution? Thanks

It would seem to me that, with sufficient altitude, if you got a real plane into a deep stall and it was mushing and losing altitude fast the solution might be to get the nose down to build up airspeed. Once you're significantly above stall speed, pull back slowly to level off. With MSFS 2024, it's not so forgiving. (It seems to me) that the way stalls are modeled, I can be nose down, full power, elevator neutral, and well above the stall speed with no pitch control at all. Of course, this odd behavior doesn't seem to show up in small aircraft with light wing loading. I'm still testing this so it would be premature to declare a "bug". But I would like to kn…

Looking at options for ENBR Bergen Flesland, in Norway. Beyond the nice freeware one on a third party website, I noticed two on Simmarket - one by RDPresets, and one by Salvuz. I am not familiar with either developer, but both look to be of similar fidelity. I don't care to purchase both products to find out if one edges out the other in quality. So...question in the title line, is there a consensus as to which is better? Thanks!

I have an itch. An itch to buy a new aeroplane for MSFS2024. No 'I've got the XYZ to work in ~24' A proper guaranteed 2024. I have, like the rest of you, managed to move over some 2020s but I'm reticent about buying a 2020 and chancing my arm. Where are the bona fide 24s? What's that smell? Oh it's a hole burning in my pocket!

Hi all, Simple poll: performance in 2024 - better, worse or same as 2020. Obviously this is highly dependent on hardware. I was hoping it would be possible to have a discussion here about settings - sim graphics, Nvidia control panel, DLSS vs TAA etc. AutoFPS? Lossless scaling? Default dynamic settings on or off? Based on what I've read so far here on Avsim, performance seems to vary wildly from stutterfest to way better than 2024. Me: I'm getting significantly better performance than 2020. This is especially noticeable with the Fenix aircraft + lots of addons including FSHud ATC + AIG models.

Anyone know when the next update for 2024 will be. Lord it needs one quick!

Hi pilots, since last autumn most of the lighting effects of my favorite A320 have disappeared. The iniBuilds 320 V2 for Flight Simulator 2020! Is there any chance this will get ever get patched? Today FS2020 got a small patch but the bug is still there.

Can anyone recommend a good Boeing plug and play USB MCP? If one even exists? 777/787 or 747 would be great but 737 will do. TIA

So after researching here I figured out that drivers need to be started before the SIM so the panel works (ridiculous) it works for the most part. However with the Boeing's, the Altitude does not work. Anyone using Saitek/Logitech having this problem?

Are there any lawyers out there that are taking an interest in the above. How bad does a product have to be under Sales of Goods and Services legislation to contravene a contract of sale. Obviously different in various countries. What about misrepresentation of a product to induce customers into a contract of sale. Is there liability in this case? The other question I have is the culpability of the heads of this MS project and Asobo Studio. Did they know the state of this product before launch?

Just curious if anyone uses Lossless Scaling and is it worth it. I just started using the Frame Mod app and on my 2 flights i have seen a great improvement on smoothness. I wasn't sure if Lossless Scaling will make it even better or if it isn't worth it if my performance in terms of smoothness is good at the moment. My specs are below. I have 64 GB memory, not 32 as I just upgraded and my monitor is a Ultrawide C49RC9x with HDR on adn 2150 x 1440 60 Hz. Thanks!

Kinda says it all... is FBW A380 MSFS2024 compatible? I installed it, trying things out, noticed however that I cannot push/pull buttons in lock mode (legacy is no-go for me). Neither direct push/pull clicks works (secondary/tertiary), nor first left click hold and then secondary/tertiary button. Since I am sure many of you use it in MSFS2020... Still frustrated. One reason I paid extra to get Premium Deluxe was to get the Citation Longitude. It is one of the Premium Deluxe birds. After installation only basic acft show up. I turned off anti-virus and scans and reinstalled still with no luck. Suggestions needed. Longitude has Garmin Avionics similar to the Lear 75 I fly in real life.

Probably related to the winter storm but annoying. MSFS 2024

For the Xth-time now, FS2024 thought it would be nice to change my weather settings (Live weather) to some default preset after a restart. Did set up a flight with live weather, made a bit of a flight plan, started only to find out that TrackIR didn't respond, no blue light. Since FS2024 doesn't have a rescan devices option (or does it?), I did quit the flight and quit 2024 to restart. Upon restart, FS2024 picked up TrackIR, I selected Free Flight, loaded up my flightplan, checked it, hit the fly button only to see that globe was cloudless on loading which means FS2024 took the liberty to change my weather setting "again". Just stop it!

This person wasn't using any custom scenery (their comment is "yes to afraid to add anything to it until its more stable" when asked if it's stock scenery), they were just using the default MSFS 2024 scenery, and the person said they were flying off the California coast line: But that is one of the more impressive videos I have seen of MSFS 2024's capabilities. And for the MSFS 2020 crowd who claim the graphics of MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024 are the same, this video is another example of the huge differences between MSFS 2020 and MSFS 2024. Without custom scenery, what you see in that video is not possible in MSFS 2020.

This question is regarding the FSS 727 in MSFS 2020. I contacted their support team but they were unable to determine the cause, so I thought I'd try here. The one thing that's never worked for me is the landing page on the clipboard. The takeoff page works fine...it populates the fields with values and I can click the appropriate buttons to set the speed and epr bugs. The landing page, no luck. Has anyone else experienced this? Other than that, stuff seems to work as it should. Thanks.

I have long missed the ability to save flights in MSFS 2020 in flight. This would be such a useful function for many things – recovery from a CTD; interrupting long trips; practicing ILS landings at a specific airport, etc. It looked as though the FlightControlReplay program would provide the answer. So, I purchased and downloaded the program but unfortunately have not been able to install it to work properly. I can get it to load into the MSFSF 2020 on-screen tool bar but when I click on its icon, it opens a black window and not the program. The attached screen shot shows this situation. Well, basicly i have read alot of forums about this, my simulator is not paused my parking break is disabled, i have run fenix app as administrator, i have rebooted my sim, i have tried to do the break and release parking break, it has not worked. Note, when is quickly turn the parking break off and i am at TOGA it starts to move but quickly stops.

One of my favorite things to do is fly small general aviation stuff in different places, just exploring a bit, chasing bad weather, that sort of thing. While I do it though, I like hearing (and seeing) other traffic coming and going in the airports around me. Do any of the ATC programs out there add more life to that sort of thing?

Hello, been using BATC on last couple of flights. And while I said this might replace VATSIM for me, I am at kinda position where this opinion is shaken now. I know BATC is coming with LLM, but right now, I don't see how some things might get fixed. Right now, I am getting way too often "I didn't get that" or "Negative" on read-back. Sometimes I use the computer generated reply, which also happens sometimes to get rejected and it has to be done a 2nd time. Right now it happened at LOWW, as I was getting taxi instruction, even AI repeat had to be repeated the 2nd time. Then, and this happened now twice, is that I get taxi instruction, but then an aircra…
