Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi All Has anyone managed to get this working in 2024? I notice all the JF installers are locked to the old 2020 directory but I’ve uninstalled that so no longer have it installed (as I would have just copied the community folder across) Appreciate any ideas? I don’t this it’s officially supported yet. Cheers Matt

Hi guys, Firstly, Happy New Year to you all. I have now downloaded and installed MSFS2024 and it is on a separate drive all on it's own, a large M2. drive . I use the excellent addon linker in 2020 and understand it is compatible with 2024 now. When setting it up for 2024 can I just point it to all the folders I have created for 2020, EG Aircraft, Scenery etc. or do I have to create separate folders for each sim?

Hi , didnt know exactly were to put this question so it may be moved to a better place. I was wonder which airliners(aircraft) have LPV installed as i can see on some charts minimums is specified for all classes A-D . Normally i would only suspect them to be LNAV/VNAV or RNP AR with Baro ? Maybe its for future installment? Thanks Michael Moe

Hi, Is there a way to turn off cockpit shadows? (MSFS2020) As in: the sun is shining in the cockpit and casts partially shadows on the instruments. In the winter, with lower sun, I find the shadows very annoying making it very hard to read some of the instruments If only all shadows can be turned off, fine with me as well.

Many of my MSFS 2020 airports are now available in the Marketplace. Anyone else see this?

So I have 2 companies in Career Mode. One charter company and one Transport company. For some reason all of a sudden, on the mission map I only see transport flights available, I have NO VIP Charters available. Why would that be? My jet is is good shape with no mechanical issues. Thanks.

I've tried to increase this setting from the default but every time I exit the sim, it reverts back to the 'medium" default setting. Is this a known bug?

Hello 🍻 As usual (hope it's ok 🫢), i post here a little preview version of AL if someone wants to test it and maybe discover glaring issues before i publish it officially, it's mainly for those of you who have lots of liveries (not me 😉), AL now has a new 'liveries browser' screen that let you view all your liveries grouped by aircraft model with the possibility to enable/disable them directly from that screen. Seems to Work good, But, I dont seem to have the steam gauge variant in 2024. Its there in 2020, but, not 2024? All other variants are streamed in 2024. Anyone else? Thanks

I have live weather on under General Options > Data in MSFS2020, but when I load onto the runway Live Weather is always off. Is there was way to make live weather the default setting? Thanks, Al

How can you tell if AutoFPS is connected? I have it downloaded and it is up and running in flight. MSFS2024 is in green but SimConnect and Session are in red. Am i connected or no? If no, how do I connect or what did i do wrong? Thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to figure out where the correct flightplan folders are for the Just Flight RJ and Asobo ATR to allow for a Simbrief export. Here's what I had for the ATR is 2020: C:\Users\####\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator\packages\microsoft-aircraft-atr\work But there is no corresponding folder structure under C:\Users\####\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. There's always something new problem emerging in the sim world. Has anyone see this dark panel that decided to show up on the Fenix A320? Looks like someone decided to take a can of black pain and spray the panel.

<rant mode on> I thought the use of tags was supposed to make it easier to separate 2020 and 2024 content. Digging though untagged message for 2020 related information and most are untagged 20204 information. Has anyone figured out how to refuel your AC while flying inside sim? I know during pre-loading of AC you can fuel the AC selection menu, but flying the sim I don't see any option to add more fuel like in 2020 weight and payload menu. I tried using the tablet to refuel but had no luck.

I would think that a lot of people in here are the same type of simmers (Fenix / Airliners). I am just curious as to what you airline simmers feel are the best combination of sim settings and Nvidia settings for a good representation of visuals from an airline perspective as well as performance of allowing a realistic flyable flight. I am guessing that GA pilots that fly low will want things like grass, trees, etc. turned up where those don't really matter to airliners. I figured I'd check to see if anyone has a sweet spot for the Fenix / Airliners. Do we know what areas in the game were heavily modified specifically for FS 2024. I know the Grand Canyon area was (big time), what other areas are there? I feel like they are leaving a big question mark by not listing that information.

This developed post update to 24H2 and I'm perplexed as this wasn't happening pre. Since 24H2 update a few days ago I have tried installing the latest AMD chipset drivers as well as RealTek's very new drivers that may be related to this 24H2 update. I thought the chipset driver update may have fixed it but alas on my last flight it's back. I also did a clean reinstall of the latest NV driver for my GPU. I had something similar 3 or 4 months ago and disabling all other sound devices helped but not this time so I'm perplexed. Doesn't happen in other games.
