Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

...since advent of FS2024. On most days it would crash to the desktop after clicking FLY, then load properly and fly with no issues. In the last couple of days it is getting worse. Yesterday about 6 CTDs in a row before I was able to fly. This morning I ran about 6 attempts and then gave up. Later today, on a whim, I switched to DX12, restarted and it loaded up and flew with no issues. It will be interesting to see if that continues tomorrow or whether it was just a fluke.

I am one of those lucky ones who have had a great experience with 2024 since Day 1. However, since Christmas Eve, I have had numerous CTD's especially when flying larger AC. Anyone else having similar experiences? For those of you that know more than me (which is all of you...) could it be related to more folks on line over the holiday break?

Just installed 2024 and slowly getting my controller and keyboard settings ro work like 2020. Performance is quite poor with no addons yet even though I am only using high settings compared to ultra in 2020. I can't seem to get autoFPS or Franerate Generation working in 2024 yet - does anyone have these two working and if so how? Secondly, the 2024 community folder serms to have several files (no folders) in it and I have no idea why they are there - is this normal? How do I get into the Slew mode in 2024? In 2020 I just hit "Y" and was there. I was an hour into my flight at 1500 ft and hit a radio tower and wound up on my back in the woods. I use to hit "Y" and it would let me flip back over and continue my flight. I look all through the settings but couldn't find it.

I know about the compatibility lists but I have over 1,200 addons for 2020. I know that most addons will work OK in 2024 but might have minor problems and might be less than fully functional. Purchased it this morning and went in with an open mind. I have to say that most of the criticism of 2024 is valid. Which MSFS2020 3rd party aircraft / helicopters have so far been ported by developers into MSFS2024?

Despite my fear of compatibility, most of my (purchased) sceneries from 2020 work without major problems in 2024. That includes sceneries from official store, contrails, simmarket, orbx, FSDT, inbuilds vendors. About good 50% of sceneries were already revised by developers and updated compatibility to 2024, but the rest works as is. Frankly I did not expect that scenery issues would be resolved so fast. Like the title says, I've started the endeavor of rebuilding the RNP (AR) approaches of the Alaskan Milk Run. However, instead of just translating the data that was used for the PMDG to the iFly format, I'm updating them to include radius-to-fix (RF) legs based off of real ADS-B data from FlightRadar24. Anyone else trying to load their planes at the gate or parking spot and FS 24 just keep spinning with the circle on the bottom right?

I purchased AS (for use with MSFS 2024) but I'm unable to load a flight plan that is made with the onboard EFB or flight plans made with the https://planner.flightsimulator.com/ . I can see the flight plans made with the latter in the EFB, save them in *PLN format but when I try to load these into AS I get the following message: Unable to parse the requested flight plan Before posting I did do some search, found a few messages with the same error but either they are for another sim or are not helpful. Hello, Today, I removed MSFS2020, bought MSFS 2024. Installation was really fast. I did a very simple IFR flight using the Da62. No issue. ( I do follow MSFS2024 topics from the beginning, the negative comments have not discouraged me, I know that there will always be dissatisfied people) I am naturally positive ! I have a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER video card. I just bought a new monitor and have connected it via a DP connection. I am considering connection my old monitor via a HDMI connection. I would just use the second monitor to either show Navigraph charts or some other multitasking task. My question is will the second monitor "degrade" my performance measurably or open me up to other unforeseen issues? Thanks.

Hello, so I have been learning to fly the Vision Jet from FlightFX and gotta sat it's a fun plane to fly. One thing I am unsure about is the climb performance. So most of my flights have just been practicing my takeoff and landing, but finally decided to do some flights. So the other day I tried to do a flight from Santa Ana, CA to Boise, Idaho. I was at full fuel, but there was only the pilot on board. I programmed the G3000 with my weights and everything and took off. I think I climb out initially around 150Kts and then accelerated to 220. After passing 1500ft I switched to hold a mach speed of .45. The thing for me was the plane was only able to climb at 400 FPM and I …

I don't have a 9800X3D, but if you do, the cure is found at 10 minutes into the video. Turn off GPU power monitoring in MSI after burner. Try this for other gpu's too.

Not sure what's going on. FS 2020 was a breeze for multi monitor, this new one is not. I have 3 monitors. When I try setting the 3 of them up all I get is the exact same image on all 3 monitors. No left or right side. Am I missing something?

I've been testing BATC for a few weeks and I really like it. I do want to ask, is this a work in progress? My first few flights were great. The last few ended with no ATC interaction or chatter just before the arrival. I've had more success with the premium voices on my last two flights. This morning while landing at KMIA, airliners were cleared to line up and wait while I was landing. After landing, Tower for got about me. I saw airliners moving toward taxiways while taking off. Howdy: I need some help please. I notice a huge FPS hit with clouds. Any suggestion on settings to help prevent that? Maybe less cloud layers or maybe I don't have my cloud textures (where ever that might be located) set correctly. Thank you!

MSFS 24', read the posts on how bad some folks say it is, I figured maybe ?, it's not that bad, give it the benefit of the doubt, YMMV but well...it's bad, it really is bad, load times double 2020', textures worse etc. etc. got a refund, this is a early beta at best even with the latest updates, plenty updates to come to get this software near right, again YMMV, if it works good for you, wonderful.
