Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello; I realize there are many opinions out there about what is "best" for FS2024. I did not ever get into FS2020, so there is a lot of catchup to do. I have looked at a lot of video reviews and the like, and think this will be a pretty solid setup. I am going to be flying airliners (B737 primarily). Hello, This topic might have been beaten to death already, but I could not find how to navigate Fenix's FMC to read AS historical weather data. Would really appreciate your help on it. TIA

Has anyone found a fix for the Asobo ATR being unable to maintain the glideslope once it's captured? Upping the approach speed seems to have no effect...no matter what I do the plane drops below the glideslope. It's a shame as it's an otherwise nice plane to fly.

Even though I've had MSFS2024 since release, I'm all of a sudden a bit confused about the sound settings. I use either headphones (which works fine), or my surround sound system which is connected to the PC with a HDMI cable: In the sim sound settings, there are several options: It sort of makes sense to use surround (since I'm using Dolby Atmos) - but in that case the sim volume is very low (compared to other audio sources e.g. spotify or youtube). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to set things up properly?

I have a lot of patience. I will not be paying a cent to Msobo while: -This Game downloads all or most content from Cloud server(s) -It has the awful graphics issues carried over from 2020 (curtains under bridges, water reflection weirdness, PG tree blobs etc) -It does not fully utilize my SSD or make use of DirectStorage tech -Controller or keyboard settings get reset at random times, and there is no way to edit settings in text files - It doesn't support the latest DLSS and FSR tech -It doesn't have AI ATC and AI Copilot -It is considered to be in Alpha or Beta buggy software state

Before I purchase MSFS 2024, wondering if it is worth paying the premium price for the Aviator edition or is the Premium Deluxe edition is good enough? Is it just a matter of the number of aircraft included and handcrafted airports?

So in MSFS2024, I saved 2.5 million and bought the Cessna Caravan. My first mission is to climb to FL290. This plane only seems to climb at a rate of 300 fpm before losing speed. I am climbing with flaps retracted full power and barely can maintain 100 kts. What am I doing wrong.

Hello, I wonder if this is possible: I have Fenix showing information bravo, and BATC giving me information india, different information too. Times are also not sync, ATIS in BATC tells me my correct time, which is also what is in the sim, Simbrief/Fenix ATIS seems to show the current UTC time, however on EFB, it shows the correct sim-time. Is there a way to sync those two?

Hi All I've managed to install FSLTL and it is working well in MSFS2024. I am trying to intsall FS Traffic but it of course cant find MSFS 2020 when i try to install and then the installer closes. Error message is unable to locate UserCFG.opt. Now this is obviously because i dont have 2020 installed anymore! Is there any work around to getting FS Traffic working in 2024 or do i need to reinstall 2020 - let the installer run and then move the AI Aircraft across in community folders? Thanks Matt

From the beginning I pressed against the wall and couldn't get in, but eventually was able to log on. Next, I had the weird airport issue where frames took a break until the last patch that was applied. In this time since release, I flew 2020 once. I have some DC-3 and C-46 liveries I'd like to use but they aren't working. Isn't MSFS 2024 eventually supposed to work with them? I noticed one poster Crispy I think has put up some 2024 DC-3 liveries that work. Anyone have any info?

I flew from my hometown airport, KABE, Allentown, Pa., this morning (Christmas Eve) using default weather in MSFS and it was super DARK and everything, including the plane and cockpit, was hard to see. It had snowed over night and it was cloudy in real life. No snow on the ground! I quickly ended the sim because that would have been quite unenjoyable flying under those conditions. Then I fired up ACTIVE SKY for 2024 and went back to my airport. WOW. Does anyone know how to edit the LOD tables at the bottom of the app? I tried double clicking, clicking etc.

I thought this really contrasted the different 20/24 environments very well.

Would anyone know how to do it, please? I am looking for a method which would allow me to take exactly the same screenshot from the cockpit or from external view in flight after restarting the sim. I would like to do it for comparison of various settings. In FSX I used to pause the flight and save it. Then every time I loaded the flight, it loaded paused, I could go to the external view and and take EXACTLY the same shot as before restarting the program. This does not work in FS2020 and FS2024, because the saved flights, even when paused, load into unpaused play. The screenshots are then never identical. FSLTL Traffic models and injector installed, Traffic injector started after FSHUD and recognizing it, "External" selected. Thx for any hints...
