Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just finished a test flight of the superb Fokker F27-MK500 FREE addon using the VOR nav route Andes 571 flight took before deviating and crashing in the mountains (them not me). I can't see how I would need better graphics than this? Using latest Bing maps from the map enhancement mod. Would be VERY interested if someone with 2024 could fly the same route and make a comparison? Asking for a friend :D I'm guessing if you flew DOWN into the valley it would look better? Hi gang, Am I right in believing the WT GNS 530/430 is the default GNS in the sim? If so, why do I still have a WT GNS 530/430 in my content manager? The other day I purchased the Carenado Archer. The only way I could get the WT GNS 430 to show was by installing it from the content manager, so I figured it's not the default GNS. The Black Square Bonanza however did not require this, so then it seems the WT GNS 530/430 is the default... What gives?

I am revisiting the Blacksquare Duke Turbine and for the life of me, I cannot remember where the "Cowl Flap" switches are located in the Duke Turbine. I know it differs from the "Piston". Is it somewhere around the Throttle Quad?

I usually turn on Airports in MSFS so that I can see them at a distance when flying VFR. I find it difficult to see the fonts of these airports in a clear vision. They are blurry and not clear at all. Is there a way to change the font in MSFS so that I can see the names of these airports clearly?

Has anyone figured out a solution to removing or hiding the dynamic registration in 2024? I just installed the Flysimware C414 and they seem to have solved the issue since their liveries have painted on registrations. When I use the FSR500 with repaints in 2024 that were made for 2020 the sim will add a random dynamic registration over the painted one and it's usually a wacky color/font as well. I've read some things about it on the official forums but nothing I've tried seems to work. I did a little digging through the C414 .cfg files to see if I can find their trick but I'm no expert there so I'm coming up a bit empty handed. I know we have some repaint expe…

So, for those of us who are not fortunate enough to have 40 series Nvidia GPU's, I'm pleased to say that the FG mod works in MSFS 2024 You need to download the universal version. Also, you need to have a nexusmods account. https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/738?tab=files D/L the folder and extract the zip file. In the unzipped folder there will be 5 folders, you need the dll version folder. Inside that folder there are two files and a readme txt file. Copy the "dllsg_to_fsr3_amd_is_better.dll and the "version.dll" and copy them to the MSFS 2024 diectory, where the sim's .exe resides. That's it! I know how to remove the engine covers from inibuilds aircrafts in MSFS2024. Put is there also a way to put them back on (for example after a flight) ?

Not sure what's going on. FS 2020 was a breeze for multi monitor, this new one is not. I have 3 monitors. When I try setting the 3 of them up all I get is the exact same image on all 3 monitors. No left or right side. Am I missing something?

I built a new sim computer because my old one 7 years of great simming, XP 10&11, FS2020. It was getting long in the tooth with i5 and 1070. New one: i7 14700 64MB RAM and 4070 Super w/16GB VRAM. I want to bind the left stick on my xbox controller to move the screen left and right in cockpit view. I've looked at all the bindings and don't see what I should be using. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Also when moving camera views with the controller, if I let my finger off the button or stick, the view snaps back to where it was originally. Yesterday 2024 was working perfectly. My Bravo Quadrant profile was exactly as I wanted. I could walk around, bend down, remove engine covers...etc. I did a nice flight around Bryce Canyon with great scenery. Landed at Bryce Canyon, took a walking tour of the airport and then gracefully shutdown the Skyhawk and ended the sim normally. My Thrust Master A320 flight stick worked a dream. My keyboard acted as if it knew what I wanted. Today I return to Bryce Canyon and the Skyhawk. ALL, yes ALL my custom profiles for the Bravo have vanished. I cannot move around the aircraft. Even the default keyboard and mouse profiles will not allow me to move around the airc…
