Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, everyone, I can't play the simulator because XBox does not load! I tried a lot of things: Repair XBox, uninstall XBox and install it again..., etc. Furthermore, I've done also everything Microsoft recommends (except reinstall Windows 11 from scratch which it will be the last option, of course!). Any hint? Thank you in advance!

I am thinking of purchasing Fenix A32x, but have rather medium PC specs. PMDG 737 is running satisfactory on my PC, and I wonder if Fenix is currently on same level compared to PMDG 737 regarding performance? I understood that initially it was more demanding than PMDG, but I hope last versions have been optimized. My PC has AMD 5800x3D CPU and AMD RX 6800 XT GPU, as well as 32 GB RAM. Thanks.

Has anyone got DLSS to work with Reshade? Mine *appears* to work (I see no obvious errors in the log) but I can't bring up the Optiscaler menu/GUI in-sim to make any tweaks. I've tried various hotkey combinations (none of which were bound to any specific MSFS controls). Here's what I have: DLSS Swapper: 1.0.5 DLSS Enabler: tried both 3.02.000.0 and 3.03.000.0 beta Using DLSS 3.8.10.0 Optiscaler: v0.7.0-pre83 Reshade: 6.3.3 There's a Reshade option when installing the DLSS Enabler but if I try that, MSFS just CTDs. Any ideas, folks?

So messing around with the sim today I realized I still had not touched some of the new aircraft. Part of it is that there are so many, part is that I'm exploring other things, and part, I suddenly realized, is that I just had no interest in flying a commercial aircraft with the dorky fictional liveries Asobo chose to include in the sim. First didn't load anything in the sim, rebooted sim, now stuck at 2%.

Although I have worked through all the steps of the checklist and the ECAM Memo shows green throughout, I cannot get the planein the air. If I set the throttle to FLX/MCP or TO GO, release brakes, the message T.O. inhibit comes after a few seconds and the aircraft does not move from the spot. Does anyone of you know how to remedy the situation? Thanks for your help.

I set monitor to go to sleep when not in use. On my previous PC MSFS 2020/2024 would keep it on even with no keyboard / joystick input. My new system does not. Is there a setting somewhere I can adjust? Thanks.

I'm curious if a fair compromise would be that you still have to start outside the plane but how you left the plane last is how you find it on the next flight. In that regard, for those who dont want to do the task of removing covers and such, they could just end their flight without doing and post securing and then when they start their next flight, simply just push Shift+C and you are in a cold and dark cockpit free of chocks, covers or tie downs. Would that suffice? My hopes are that the way it is currently setup, it is just a place holder for later adding a wear and tear system for free flight that didnt make it in time for the release. My mb is a Asus Strix x670-e paired with a 7950X3D, 64 gigs ram and 4090. With 2024 and 2020 l get really good performance with the usual annoying micro stutters. I usually make a habit of checking and updating my bios every 6 months or so. This last change with bios 2604 made major changes to the bios settings from my last bios. There was one setting in particular. One in the Ai Tweaker that is a gaming setting and warns you that other applications may be effected negatively. When I tried the setting and flew with 2024 I was getting a huge improvement in fluidity with a modest increase in fps. But I would randomly recieve stutters with audio cutouts. A …

Hello, not sure whether this is a correct forum... but since I am in a trial with SPAD, I can't go to discord, so I might as well try here. I get the thing with profiles, that is similar how I was always working with FSUIPC for instance. But... let's say I am further down the road, have like 10 profiles for different aircraft, and now I got the idea to have on pushbutton do a new function over all my profiles. Can I do that some other way except copying the button from profile to profile?

Hello... I bought FSIPanel to use with Fenix. I ran through the installer and am following the instructions but when I click "move AC", it tells me to acknowledge that the FSIPanel App is in the toolbar (It is and when I click on it it says i am connected). No matter what I do, I get this message and the plane won't go to the desired starting point. Can someone point me in the right direciont? Thanks!

My understanding is Beyond ATC was still in the testing phase as early December last year? Based on reviews online, the software looks promising. Can anyone share their experiences with this add-on, both good and bad?

Both 2024 and 2020 were showing greatly diminished scenery today. Blurred and Autogen at very low quality. I had TLOD and OLOD at 200 while getting 50 fps. Nothing I did made the scenery any better. All my monitors showed both sims to be sending and receiving the normal amounts of data over the network. I received NO Error messages from either sim. Finally I decided to check settings and found both sims to have OFFline data set - there was no online connectivity despite what the monitors showed. When I tried to enable online connection in the sim I got the No Internet Connection error message from the sim. But, even then both sims were moving data on the n…

Just came across something called Opetrack and smooth track for head and eye tracking as an alternative to Track IR. Anyone using it with the Fenix and if so, what is your feedback? I had TrackIR a few years ago but didn’t really like it so I’m curious if this is a better alternative. Thanks!!

In 2020 I was able to run DLSS DLAA at ultra settings and the slight loss of performance was worth the improvement in quality. In 2024 I was getting crashes and a GPU fan constantly screaming at me. Changing to DLSS quality has solved my stability and screeming fan issues albeit with a slight quality loss. I've even been able to crank up a few of my other settings and TLOD quite significantly. FYI I am running a 5800X3D with an RTX3080, so if you are having similar problems, this might be a solution for you until you can upgrade your GPU. Let us know if you find this helps (though I do miss DLAA a bit).

Kudos to MS/ASOBO for the latest adjustments to the flight and ground handling of the CJ4 - a big improvement! I have run into an interesting phenomenon, however, which I'm guessing relates to the increased "stiction" of the aircraft's tires? She's now hesitant to leave the ground. I don't necessarily consider this a problem in the long run, as I'm making some adjustments to elevator control response and changing my procedures somewhat. I would like to get some opinions on whether others are experiencing this or even if this is actually realistic with this airframe... Question about frame generation and MSFS 2024. Are there any methods--whether native to the sim, or with addons--by which I can have FG active while MSFS is in a window (i.e. not full screen) and when MSFS doesn't have the focus? Picture a scenario where MSFS is in a window that takes up 75% of the screen, and another app is elsewhere on the same screen. I want to go to the other app and use it, while FG remains active in MSFS. Is this possible? I'm under the impression that frame generation stops when MSFS 2024 loses the focus. Is that always true? Anyone notice in developers push to make their add-ons 2024 compatible they end up breaking their 2020 version? Here are two out of a few I found so far that the developer will have to go back and fix for 2020: 1. Toolbar PushBack (Flightsim.to) - Updating to the latest version the options no longer work in 2020. Sent a note to the developer and glad I had a backup of the previous version 2. Airshow Assistant (Marketplace) - Wingmen external lights no longer working after the latest update. MSFS, being an AAA game with an AAA budget, is implementing the latest technological advances with the leading graphics card producer. This reminds me of when MSFS 2020 first got frame generation and the CEO of NVidia, Jensen Huang, was demoing frame generation with MSFS 2020.
