Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I am impressed by how well my 4 screen setup works in 2024. Middle is 4K, 2 sides 1080 and the touch screen at bottom is 1080. I maintain 30 fps amazing at ultra and high settings, lots of pixels. I run Navigraph and popouts on touch screen. I also use Octavi to control AP etc works as well as Knobster, but with more controls. Soon AirManager 5 will ship, then I will be all set.

I'm looking at some options at the moment and one of them is the Thrustamster Boeing Style Yoke. I have seen many reviews, which all highly rate the product. However, I came across a thread somewhere on here, and there was some talk about the rather big deadzone that this yoke has. I have seen a video on YT which demonstrates this too, and it does look like the deadzone is more than I would like. I'm wondering if anyone who has this yoke could give their opinion about this and whether or not this deadzone is in fact adjustable in the MSFS sensitivity serttings, or if it's more mechnical. Does anyone know how to reset the 850. I uninstalled and reinstalled. It still starts with all avionics off. I keep resetting in the iPad but nothing seems to help. There has to be a config file that will not let in spawn on the runway fully started. Msfs2020

I have had an ongoing problem trying to access any of the extra aircraft with Premium Deluxe. Specifically, the Citation Longitude. I pull up the library and search Longitude. It displays "Basic Package". When I expand it and find the Longitude, I make sure it and some liveries are checked and save & exit. Still when I want to start a flight it is not available. What process or steps am I missing?

Just to balance the score a bit... A lot of folks are dumping all over Asobo right now, But here I am, choosing to fly 2024 over 2020 which is still installed.. so what is wrong with me? What Asobo got right IMHO is redesigning the sim to take advantage of modern multi core computers, coupled with a new lighting engine, and an on demand streaming architecture which actually works for me... even though I am limited to 75 Mbps internet speeds. Hello all, For those that remember the old QW 787 from P3D (I still mainly fly P3D at the moment): How does the Horizon compare with the QW? I am mainly intersted in the accuracy of avionics, autoflight, systems and how it flies etc. as opposed to visual model (which looks amazing on the Horizon). Would be keen to hear your opinions! So I decided to install the DLSS Frame Generation Mod. I followed the "Island Sim Pilot" instructions in the video below step-by-step. Unfortunately, the DLSS Frame Gen option is not showing up in my MSFS graphics settings. The only thing that is showing now is the "AMD FidelityFX Sharpening" Did I miss an steps along the way is causing the DLSS Frame Generation option not to appear in my graphics settings? Any assistance would be appreciated.

So, I am going for it either later tonight. I will sign up for the SU1 beta afterwards. My question is, does anyone have any experience of installing it to anywhere other than the C drive. I still have 900 gig left on my F drive NVMe SSD, and I would like it there (I believe the core files are only 20/30 gig anyway). I take it that by using Add-on linker I can also share the Community folder as long as I take MSFS2024 offending items out of circulation. thanks for any help in advance.

Hmm, I saw this some time ago and perhaps didn’t give it the attention that perhaps it deserves. Having looked closer, it seems to offer something I’ve wanted for some time. To have all the cabin announcements play throughout the flight without any intervention from myself, would be awesome. Is anyone using this app? Is it any good? Edit: just seen the pricing options! Believe about 4 or 5 days ago, launched MS2020 and said update and it did it. Went back a few days ago and seems I saw some blurring, sometimes some ghosting when switching views in the cockpit. Scenery didn't look as sharp. Tried to go in my display setting but cant remember what I had. Since installing the beta I have noticed that the game ignores some "Free flight" choices and appears to default to the previous Free flight. This has happened three of four times now. Yesterday it refused to place me on the correct runway at Lands End (default scenery) and kept defaulting to RW27! No idea what's going on there. I am just getting back into flight sim and bought the enhancment for the Cessna 172 Skyhawk. For some reason I am unable to get it started. I followed the checklist, watched videos, and read the manuel but can only get it to crank and not actually start up. I have no problem getting the Textron version to start following the checklist. I have unistalled then reinstalled the the enhancment just incase it was a bug. Just can not figure out what I am doing wrong. Fuel selector is set to both and fuel cut off is pushed in. If I start on the runway I have no problems, engine is running and everything is fine. So I know it must be something I am missing on startup. …

The headwind 339 is beautiful airplane. The displays are extremely sharp and look better then other Airbus's. Ground handleling is seems for realistic to me and does not jump all over the place. Worth a shot if you have not tried it.

Trying to load in a flight last night PMDG 737 at CYYJ and I get a CTD every time I select a parking spot from the flight setup dropdown. After 3 attempts, tried without Navigraph base data loaded and worked absolutely fine. Others seem to be reporting the same issue in the same region. Seem to remember duff MS data causing similar issues before... G

Hello! I'm trying the new Headwind A330neo version (v0.8) and having problems that didn't have before. Along the 2 flights I experienced sharp banks tho both sides (with cross wind), but just now, when approaching to LPPT, it just cut off all power. Anyone else, having issues?
