Insight from Sergio's Helisimmer website as follows: https://www.helisimmer.com/news/nemeth-designs-developing-hiller-uh-12b-msfs-2020 Nemeth's pursuit of complexity has seemingly ceased since the FSX/P3D days, opting for simpler aircraft overall, but this still looks fun and seems to complement other existing piston-engine rotary-wing products well. Coming soon apparently.

Introduction This utility will allow you to check which of your modded airports in your MSFS 2024 Community folder also have Asobo / Microsoft / Marketplace Streamed Packages, the latter of which you'll want to disable through the game, or override using this tool. Streamed Packages, including Airports, can be disabled through the game's UI via the Content Manager. This tool offers an alternative way to doing that by creating an override with the same name in your Community folder. This application will scan your Community and Streamed Packages, suggest overrides you should create in your Community folder, and even create them for you. News Dec …

It seems we are in an Ai revolution. I wonder if it was used to any extant in current flight simulators? It may be helpful in testing and reducing bugs as well as generating more efficient code.

I have the Fenix A320 airbus and livery manager installed and have just been trying to install third party liveries from flightsim.to. I downloaded the Wizz Air zip file, unzipped it and placed it in the default download folder location - that did not work. So, I deleted that, and then tried to download the zip file directly to the default download file, and as I kind of expected that did not work either. I have tried to google how to install without finding any solution - clearly there is a simple solution - so I would appreciate help to know how to install these third party liveries.

I have MSFS2020 with Rex Accuseason and Rex Atmos. Rex Accuseason gives me all the seasons and shorter/less trees. Rex Atmos gives me white clouds (no more ash grey volcanic clouds). MSFS2020 gives me a stutter free experience. If I switch to MSFS024, what more will I get (apart from lower fps/stutter) ???? Not interested in career mode, only free flight/tubeliners.

It's simple actually. It upgraded both the software and the "hardware" simultaneously. I still get PTSD from a prior life when senior management at a high-tech startup proclaimed that we do a 'revolutionary' marketing blockbuster upgrade on a move to new state-of-the art location data center after 6 months of preparation. The upgrade included: 1. Upgrading a mission critical application 2. Upgrading the servers 3. Upgrading the OS two versions to "catch-up" Result: we were on non-stop conference call with Oracle, Novell, Compaq, and the app dev team tech support for at least 40 hours the entire 3-day weekend. One tech support person fell asleep and sn…

Just did a quick search to see if this has been mentioned before but couldn't find anything. I've been having issues with the trim wheel on my Honeycomb Throttle system. It's a common problem with this digital wheel where the trim rate is far too low. I found this excellent free software called SimTrim which solves that issue by changing the pulse rate to the trim wheel. I've tried it and it works perfectly. I can now trim all my aircraft properly by just using the trim wheel! You can adjust the rate of trim in the SimTrim settings to suit your own preferences. Worth a look if you have the Honeycomb system and a very slow trim wheel. https://mak…

I don't remember where I read this...whether it was on this forum or on the MSFS forum, but I can't find it. I read today that if I changed a few settings, my flights would be smoother and MSFS 2024 would be so much better. I did that and I can't believe how much more enjoyable MSFS is after I changed these 2 things: I turned OFF DYNAMIC settings I increased my Cache to 150 from the 16 that was the default. After I did that, I SWEAR my flights were smoother and so far, stutter free, and my airplane's movement is so fluid. Again, I would love to thank the people that recommended those 2 changes, but I can't find the threads that talked about it.…

Highly recommended as it seems to send it to your C drive Go to the Marketplace, then My Library, click the tiny settings gear icon and change it to wherever you want. If you look in Windows explorer you'll see three new folders. You may have to restart the sim once to get the three folders. It works because I just tried the Black Square Duke in 2024

MSFS2024 is causing my GPU fan to screem nost of the time, getting so hot, it is crashing and restarting my PC fairly regularly even when the sim is paused. I can run 2020 on ultra settings at 60 FPS with a TLOD of 300 whilst I can only run 2024 at medium to high settings with a TLOD of 150. Furthermore, framerates are up and down like yoyos and stutters (framerates often drop down to single figures) are a constant problem. What on earth have MS sold us with this terrible application? Oddly, it seems that performance is a lot worse sometimes compared to other times with the same settings in the same areas (I wonder if this is server related?). Whilst not curr…

Does anyone else find the rendering quality of the clouds in the far distance in MSFS 2024 is really bad? The clouds up close seem just about the same quality as MSFS 2020 but they look so low resolution in the distance and on the horizon in 2024 whereas in 2020 they don’t seem to lose the quality no matter where they are drawn.

During the takeoff roll, when the Fenix A321 reaches higher speeds (e.g., 120+ KTS) with either the CFM or IAE engines, it feels very unstable and I have a difficult time keeping it centered on the runway. I would have suspected my skills and/or the settings of my controller as the cause but I don't think that this is it because I don't have this problem with the PMDG B77W. For this particular aspect of flying, the B77W is kind of my gold standard. Is anyone else having this difficulty with the Fenix A321 ? Does this particular function require a more or a less sensitive rudder (keep in mind, the problem is for higher speeds) ? Any suggestions/direction is welc…

I use LNM all the time on my tablet with the program itself running on the PC where the simulator runs. Whether msfs 2020 or 2024 I've noticed in recent weeks that the tablet browser instance won't always show properly unless I open it in the browser on the PC first. It loads rpomen:8965 on the tablet with top menus, but no map is displayed?

JustFlight's Hawk T1/A is one of my go-to planes in MSFS 2020. Has anyone had any success getting it to run in MSFS 2024? If so, how? With MSFS 2024 installed the JustFlight loader complains that it can't find the MSFS directory when I try it... 😒

Sorry I know this vaguely asked (memory limitation) but I remember I used a freeware traffic add-on a couple years ago that was excellent but then it started crashing the sim. Does anyone remember what it was called and if it's all working now?

I preorder their MCDU and FMS both from Global site and Canadian site. I found out that apparently if you pre-order from Global site, you will get it much faster. Does anyone know when it will be available? I still have not paid since its only a pre-order

Does anyone know the bindings for the Avionics switches on the Cessna 208B? The bindings for the 172 work fine with my H.Alpha Flight Contol but I can't find anything that works for the 208B The C172 bindings don't exist for the 208B. Thanks

Hi folks. I am here plugging my latest freeware release: 2IS Airglades Airport As I fly more in 2024 and keep exploring, I find myself increasingly tinkering and enhancing cool little GA airports I am finding. I only use default objects to enhance the airports, which means that I am not trying to recreate any airport with 100% fidelity. I just simply want it to look "pretty darn close" to a picture or Google Maps when I go check them out. Eventually, I guess I will have to learn Blender if I want to start creating custom hangars and buildings, etc. But for now, this is all my time allows. If you like Florida, here are the rest of my GA enhancements: KSUA …

Manual braking ! I haven't been able to find, in any of the many addons I used for years with FSX / P3D / X-Plane / Aerowinx PSX, I honestly no longer recall AS2, FS4 and ATP Rev D, a simulation of pedal braking force / effect as good as in MSFS. For instance in X-Plane, no matter how I fine tune the curves for the toe brakes, braking during rollout is always excessive, abrupt... Even Aerowinx PSX always had this problem, which probably users with adequate / expensive hardware didn't experience, but in MSFS I can apply "manual braking" when I land my airliners / GA / gliders and get a unique, IMO absolutely true to real, braking effect and efficiency.
