Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hello Flight planner worked fine for me until some days ago. Now, impossible to download a flight plan in the sim. I can see it but when i select it to load, it remains loading … What i'm doing wrong ? Is there somebody who can help me ?

I just received an email from Just Flight announcing the new DC-9 from Sky Simulations. Price is $71.99 (ouch). Has anyone tried it or have opinions. I like old iron, but don't want to be the first or even among the first to try it.

Like many others, I have enjoyed piloting the Fenix in 2024, as it generally behaves very well in the new sim. However, in several recent flights, I have had difficulty getting the Fenix to enter a managed descent at the top of descent. My usual practice has been to set a lower altitude ( e.g., the final approach altitude) after reaching cruise altitude, and then to push in on the altitude knob when 5 to 10 miles from the TOD as indicated on the nav display. This has always worked well in FS2020 and in my initial flights in 2024. But no more. When I push on the altitude knob to commence the descent, the plane instead wants to enter vertical speed mode. I never see the little man holding the glider wings off the ground when starting a flight...thus I am not able to the start a flight using aerotow... what am I doing wrong?...I have searched the Settings under "Controls" numerous times to no avail...help please...

After loading, I select Free Flight, then I type in Dep: KLAX Arr: KORD. (an example. It happens everywhere). Then the map loads with the spinning circle lower right side on screen. This situation lasts forever. After 15 minutes it will somtimes load me onto the taxyway, ready for departure. Most times it will not. So what am I doing wrong? Settings ?? Any help appreciated.

Hello Everyone, Hope you all will be fine. Recently I installed MSFS 20 in PC and at first everything was fine, but few days ago I'm facing an issue regarding ''Request for Clearance of IFR instrument FP'' during flight planning. I have done every possible solution after watching YouTube videos and also from community forums. But it is not resolved till now. But the main issue is I got this request for clearance for instrument FP everytime only after takeoff not on ground. when I reach transition altitude at least. I will be grateful for your recommendation and guidance to resolve this issue. Thanks

Hi all. Trying this AC for the first time. It's night time. The captain's side dashboard is BRIGHTLY illuminated by some invisible source. It looks like the Flashlight is on, but it's not, because when I turn it on, it illuminates things even brighter. There is no switch or dial that kills this. This is only on the Capt side. Did anyone run into this?

January 16th, 2025 Development Update - Microsoft Flight Simulator Microsoft/Asobo are back to their regular development updates with a 2024 bug list and 2020/2024 wishlist included. They've confirmed (again) that there will be 2024 beta testing available for all platforms starting with SU1. Only 2 of the top 10 bugs are still under investigation, others are planned for SU1/SU2 or partially fixed.

Hi All, Is there a limit to 3rd party liveries in FS2024? I exclusively use Fenix Airbuses and noticed that I only can add one Fenix livery to each of the Fenix aircraft, e.g. A319 CFM, A319 IAE. Of course I can add more than one livery but they don't show up in the "configure" part of aircraft selections of FS2024. I added liveries by means of Fenix Livery Manager and when I check the livery folders, the added liveries are there. Is this a known issue or have I done something wrong or overlooked something? I've created a little IFR flight plan from EBOS RWY 8 to EBBR RWY 25L (in the TBM-930). For my problem it doesn't matter where the flight plan is created, Simbrief, the MS flight planner or directly in the EFB. I go free flight, load up the EFB, load the flight plan and then hit File plan with ATC. The moment I do that, the start and destinations on the world map are filled in but not always correct. Instead of EBOS RWY 8 it sometimes takes RWY 26, same for EBBR. Today it filled in RWY 19 for EBBR to land while according to Flightradar RWY 25 R and L were in use. However, when I press "File plan with ATC" a second time, it sets the departure and arrival RWY's…

Milviz have just been running a quick competition on their discord offering a prize to the first person to guess one of their future aircraft and the correct answer turns out to be the Boeing 737-200. No more details yet and considering how many planes Milviz have planned already I'm not expecting to see this any time soon.

Please some help for an issue with the screen. While I move the camera in the cockpit or external view, I get some weird tearing if I say it correct. Please anyone can help thank you

reinstall FS 2020 🙂 I told myself I never wanted to play 2020 again, given the excellent overall experience I am getting from FS 2024, but I am really getting teased with all of the comments regarding teh FSLabs 320 CEO, and really wanted to give it a try ... Anyone know how to get the weather to match the season? When I select for instance June time of year in Boston and use live weather I get frigid temps and snow. Is there way to match the weather conditions to time of year? I thought seasons was supposed to do that but maybe I am doing something wrong..

Hello, Am I the only one having loading problems in the career? Very often, loading missions and returning to headquarters is never-ending. I have to close MSFS 2024 with the task manager. Does this also happen to you or am I the only one? Thank you for your help. Franck

Once off the AP, I always seem a little high so I tend to dive if you will and just before the threshold I pull up to make a good landing. But then I land close 1000 to 1500 or worse from the start of the RWY. So my question I guess is : Say the runway is at 0 feet. At 1000 feet, how high would you like to be and same at 500 and 100 Hope this makes sense

Having this weird issue with Longitude: Weight and Fuel on aircraft screen is not showing any further info. Is it a bug or something that i need to do? For example on Honda Jet everything working with out any issue. thanks

Hello, I have MS 2024 on Steam, and added in the Community folder different liveries, bought some enhanced airports too. They seem to be recognized in the Marketplace Installed library, however I cannot find them back (airplanes) nor do the enhances airports are visible in the game. Anyone can help me please? Hello, I have a weird bug plaguing me every now and then... My cameras are saved using default MSFS2024 camera system where you save them from 0-9 and then call up with a key. So, usually that works fine. But when the error happens, the cameras will load some 2-3m further forward. Usually the camera 1, which is my main view will remain OK, however, then 2nd one, which I usually have either for FCU or main G1000 PFD, will "move" towards the front of the aircraft, somewhere about the nose. It seems like the reference is moved couple of meters to the front, or better said, the cameras remained but the cockpit has been moved backwards. Is this is a known e…

I updated earlier today. Just did a flight from PHL to LGA in the Fenix A320 at night. NYC lights were unbelievable. No studders coming into airport. With AIG installed, I have to get use to ATC in 2024. My only grip is the ATC pop up menu, I wish it was transparent and not so Intrusive.
