Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I have been using Bijans trees for MSFS2024 (and 2020 before that). An excellent mod that I would recommend to everybody. However, there is one thing that I do not like about Bijans and Global Trees by Taburet - trees are often very sparse with big gaps between trees (in winter especially), so trees in the satellite imagery can be clearly seen. I don't like this effect because things that should be hidden behind the trees are clearly seen. For me this reduces realism. Does a user have a shared preset that looks like the sky in the first few seconds of the MSFS 2024 video? If been checking some presets out, but want a similar preset. BTW, the best weather presets for MSFS 2020 are available for free at flightsim.to ATMOS allows the user to create their own weather theme preset. Thanks. Jose

I've noticed the flysimware C414 I purchased through the MSFS2020 marketplace has appeared in MSFS2024 now. I am not even in the SU1 beta.

When loading screen has been completed, there is only "Quit" menu, the other two menus in the bottom right corner disappeared. Tried 3-4 times but it persists. What is going on?

When I try to select the default MSFS2020 KSEA Seattle Airport as my departure airport the sim crashes. I tried deleting the data from the Rolling Cache but that didn't help. Never had this problem before. Thanks for any ideas on this. Al

I am looking at buying a laptop with a 2560 x 1600 screen .My question is would a 2560 x 1600 screen distort the cockpit or scenery image compared to a 2560 x 1440 screen ?

One of my favorite planes in FS2020 was the Grumman G21A Goose Redux II, by OzWookie and the OZx team. This project is an FSX import, but unlike many other such 3rd-party add-ons to FS2020, the OZx Goose was amazingly responsive and fun to fly - she felt "alive", in a way that most other FSX imports never did. Hello, When MSFS was first released, I could install and play with the Fenix fine. Then, during one leg from LHR-INN, the scenery didn't load at INN—blurry textures, etc. I used the Map Replacement Tool, and everything worked. Since that moment, the game has just been unusable. It's every time I open 2024, so I'm not sure I can lump this complaint onto the MS servers. Hi guys! I have a problem for several months and Simbrige does not connect to another device. I also contacted the support people on the discord server, but they didn't manage to find the solution. It connects to the server and I don't have anything red in the program, but when I try to open MCDU through the system tray, I get a black screen.

Anybody else having issues with the color / brightness of the FD bars, clock etc. ? I find myself struggling a lot to make out those writings / bars. If I look at videos, those FD bars are so bright ("luminescent") that you can't unsee them. Any brighter and they would burn in your retina.

Every time I decide to quit to desktop FS2024, the game freezes, so I had to kill it from the taskbar, is it normal ?

I have created and published the SPAD.Next profiles for - FBW A32N/Headwind A339 - PMDG 737NG - PMDG 777 - MS ATR42/72 utilizing Thrustmaster T16000, TWCS and ... DualSense controller. I think using the DS5 controller for autopilot controls is pretty cool, ie. mapping heading/altitude knobs to the pushable thumb-sticks, allowing to setting and selecting heading in a native Airbus way with pushing the selectors 🙂 The profiles are to be found on Spad.Next discord. A developer group that is linked to TFDi has acquired the Skypark from //42: https://fselite.net/content/invernyx-acquires-parallel-42s-the-skypark/ I wish them all the best for this. Skypark has a nice interface but is sorely lacking content. I hope the new owner will fix that. Peter

I think I need to tweak some things.... Just did a new build things just dont seem right. Granted, I loaded into ultra and almost maxed everything to see what happened. Flightbeam KSFO, PMDG 77W. 9800X3d, 64GB DDR5 6000. I came from a 12900k w/ 32 GB. Caveat is that I am still running my 3080ti until I get my new graphics card.... which will either be a 5080 OR a 7900 XTX... 7900XTX will be my fallback when I end up missing out on a 5080 FE. What are the key settings with my current arrangement? I had frames so low it was difficult to land at SFO, which I have never experienced on my old system.

There is a good update from the PMDG on the 737 for the MSFS. There are two good enhancements: one related to flare behavior (very nice job, if I remember correctly how the airplane flies) and the other related to LNAV improvement. I still notice issues with VNAV (calculations) during climb-out, especially on KJFK 31L on KENNEDY5. After T.O. at 420 FT, the airplane should initiate a left turn to CRI. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason, it will track on RWY heading and initiate the turn somewhere above 1,300. I have the Thrustmaster TCA Joystick and throttle pack AND an old CH Flight yoke. I haven't bought FS2024 yet, but when I do (and I will at some point), can I have both plugged in at the same time, or do I have to unplug the yoke if I want to use the Tca, and visa versa?

...that we all became accustomed to from you know where. Someone here said MSFS can't do this because it's essentially an 'Earth Simulator' instead of a Flight Simulator--so it's the earth and sky that are MOVING, not the plane. Well, as a side point the only time this distinction would matter for me near as I can tell would indeed be no fly-by and tower view. But outside of that it certainly otherwise behaves like a flight simulator for me.
