Stayed with 2020 and will do so until 2024 is more mature/and or all my airliners are available and working well in it.

  • Stil using MSFS 2020 : because Prosim and  Wideview are not MSFS 2024 compatible. But : reading all issues I am happy that I did not switch yet…

  • Becoming a beta tester wasn't in my plans, so I stayed with 2020.

  • From now on, let's all only post on subjects that interest me. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi,

Purchased the premium deluxe version of 2024, got a refund the very next day. Back in 2020 for my day flights. If they ever have an offline option I'll be back.

Im using 2024 and I like it,  haven't fired up 2020 since.  That said, and I can fly a bunch of my stuff now(Fenix, RJ, I just got BATC and its awesome) and honestly the experience is better than in 2020, but there are some things I'm waiting on to be better, and I have a lot of work to do on my podcast, so I might be watching from afar for a month or two before I get really plugged in.

So we're about 50/50 then?

closer to 60/40 which is also where Steam seems to be hovering in favor of 2020 and about where the Negative/positive reviews are as well ironically however we obviously can't see console or windows store numbers.   That's just here and Steam

I'm still trying to figure out 2024.  I generally launch both every other "session" I get.  I find myself doing GA flights in 2024 and airline flights in 2020. 2020 is just so good right now with Beyond ATC, it's hard to do airliner flights in 2024 over 2020.

What happened to these supposed fixes on 12/9?  I'm guessing the fixes are more complicated than first expected?

They did a patch on 12/10. They are doing another small patch tomorrow.

I'm using 2024 exclusively. I like the improvements and the improved WT avionics. I fly GA mainly. I've only had a few bugs and nothing  too serious.

Seeing that I fly exclusively in VR, 2024 with it's issues is a no go for me (never bought or installed it).  I'm curious about the 2D and VR flyers here on Avsim.

Why does it even matter for the umpteenth time who is using which one.

It’s pretty easy to figure this out with all of these new threads we all get to read almost daily.

Go with the one that works best for you.

VR in 2024 works very well for me!

Suit yourself 2024 is the future.

Using both 2020 and 2024 sims, as I did not have any wild expectations that 2024 would run flawlessly at the outset. MSFS 2020 is still supported and stable so it is hardly a dead end. I installed 2024 on Day 2 and have been using it as a test bed, primarily so I could get acquainted with the user interface and to set up the controllers. Things are working pretty well now, especially since the Fenix a320 became operational in 2024. It’s butter smooth and nearly flawless so far. I’ll be gradually copying more of my third party scenery and aircraft over to 2024.  If they don’t pass the test, no stress, since 2020 is still the old reliable backup.

100% on MS2020. Enjoying the iFly and PMDG 777 each time I fly with zero CTD’s and zero issues. And soon now the iniBuilds A350.

Unfortunately for me, work hasn't been good to me so I haven't been able to buy the version I wanted. However, I did use gamepass to try it for a week for $1.00, so I was able to try the standard version. I am one of the lucky ones who had very little difficulty getting everything to work, and it worked well. Even for my weak system, I still had great success with the sim. I have a full Cessna panel with dual GNS's and autopilot, and everything worked perfectly, right from the start. My avionics are RealSimGear, and even though their drivers were not released for this sim, I used the drivers for 2020, and everything worked exactly as it should. An VR was absolutely amazing on my Reverb G2. I was sad when my trial period came to an end because I'm still not able to afford to buy it yet, so I'm back to 2020, which is running perfectly as well. It was interesting to be able to go back and forth between the two sims, comparing performance and visuals firsthand. I'm perfectly content with 2020, but as soon as I can afford 2024, I'll use both again.

The next time I fire this 2024 pos when they make all content downloadable. Just to see what new bugs are.

I'm still in 2024, I uninstalled 2020 last week. Already have over 200 hours in it.

Everything I consider important works in 2024. Only thing I can't use yet is the 777, but I can wait.
