There is no quantifiable data to actually back that claim up and all of the available data actually points to the opposite. Why does it even matter??? Use the one you are content with Geez!

If they look at these forums they sure aren't going to admit as much, particularly as it relates to a poll. Honestly I doubt they care....they have clearly moved on from 2020. Yup, they will support 2020 for some time but 2024 is going to get there full attention in the future I'm certain of that!

Some people just don't like change. If we had gone from FSX to MSFS2020 overnight without all the junk sims in between, the same outrage and sense of heinous personal insult would have been shown by the same people. Yeah pretty much this. Some people are just wired this way. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen

Because when people make quantifiable statements that I can't personally see the basis or foundation for I like to question where the data for those statements is coming from... To counter your question, why do you care what I care about and continue to tell people what they should and shouldn't be concerned with? You could always skip the posts that don't interest you... Also, I "AM" currently enjoying my sim of choice passing Gander 2 hours and 10 minutes into an 11 hour flight in the 777 with 130kt tailwinds making for 605kts across the ground and making up an hour and ten minutes in the air to save the bean counters virtual fuel! So I guess I can do both... Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Which is fine because it's currently 2024 and they are also still fixing 2020 while 2024 was already released so it makes sense they will still be fixing 2024 when they release 2028 🙂 Just pointing that out to you... December 20, 20241 yr Though I pre-ordered 2024, I still haven't installed it. It was released at the wrong time for my current computer system's priorities and it was also going into the holiday season. As a musician involved in many Christmas performances/rehearsals (and I still am) I barely have time to fly at all, let alone perform a major program installation that's going to require a lot of time to get set up. I updated my system early in 2024 in order to improve performance for my business needs (multimedia operations) and MSFS2020. As I had many programs involved in multimedia production I did the upgrade by cloning to the new drives which forced me to stay with Win10. Now, much of my multimedia software upgrades requires Win11 so I must Convert my BIOS / MBR to UEFI / GPT for this installation. I should be able to do this by late January. If all goes well and all of my production tools are running appropriately AND FS2020 is in good shape, I'll install FS2024 and begin the process of learning and adapting my aircraft, sceneries, settings, etc. For now, I enjoy getting a flight in from time to time on FS2020 and am happy it works most of the time (though I still get an occasional CTD since FS2024 was released). December 20, 20241 yr I'm just doing some VFR flying with the C172 and Optica at MSFS 2024. I like the career mode but I've run into too many bugs, so I'll leave it on standby for the moment. And I have no intention of playing with third-party plugins until native versions are available. I've had my fair share of bugs over the years. Fortunately today I have other simulators to enjoy while they solve the problems with MSFS24.
December 20, 20241 yr Eventually will move to '24 once it moves from Alpha to Beta. BTW, the people that are using 2024 really need to be honest about issues they see as it will help will with development. Just saying you love it and everything is fine is not helping anything. I'm sure it has some very good things going for it, but at this early stage, it is the bugs need to be known. I get that forums always devolve to 'Us vs Them' and that tends to cause people defend 'their side' with blind faith. That never leads to anything good. FS2020 is running quite stable for me, but certainly still has a long list of issues.

They mentioned this site once a long time ago in one of their videos, but I kind of doubt they regularly view here. Either way, I wish people would stop "preaching to the choir" here. This isn't MS/Asobo. You're just "preaching" at your fellow simmers. There's no reason to copy/paste the exact same rant every thread. I wish people would stop treating this forum as their soapbox to MS. I doubt they follow much here if at all. Edited December 20, 20241 yr by kerosene31 ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
