  1. Someone trying to use a filter in X-Plane 12 made by someone for a game other than XP12 is "ZERO" justification for calling re-shade itself buggy or unstable! Nothing wrong with re-shade, it's people using filters made for other games where the problem exist. Until the powers to be realize this, they will continue to get it wrong!
  2. Would take way too long to put together a list! You have multiple filters that are available and some filters don't interact well with others. So if one has a filter working just fine and introduces a second filter, the first may not work anymore. Its a time consuming process, but when you have hundreds of filters made by many people, things don't always work out for the best. I can tell you the filters I use for my night lighting efforts, I've been using these for a very long time without issue. Reshade 6.7.1 using the following filters: Colourfullness.fx - DPX.fx - Technicolor2.fx - Tonmap.fx The package is available for download, although I made changes to XP12 lighting itself: https://x-plane.to/file/388/x-plane-12-night-lighting-edits 4.9 out of 5 stars with close to 20,000 downloads, if reshade itself were the actual problem and not the filters I wouldn't have such good results/score. Big issue I see with some reshade profiles that are available, they use "WAY TO MANY FILTERS", XP12 isn't that bad where it needs much. This is more than likely where 80%+ of the issues people see come from. the other 20% are more than likely installation/folder issues.
  3. That's an early work, wipers clear the screen and the dry spots where the window posts would be now have rain on them as well. Far better than the star wars rain. As far as the future, a lot of people are going to be disappointed when OpenGL becomes a thing of the past! I am grateful for everything Austin has given us, I'm also grateful for MS2020/2024. That seems to have put L/R in overdrive, as a result we all win.
  4. The big problem I have with L/R and some that come here from discord to protect them, they paint everything with a broad brush. Perfect example was show above, Ben wasn't interested in full flight deck flyers or the 3D rain effect we wanted, so the broad answer was it's impossible when I asked him at the expo. Same holds true for reshade, they claim it introduces bugs/crashes. I've found with extensive testing that it is "NOT" reshade itself but the filters people try and use. Not all filters are compatible with XP12, nor are some filters compatible with other games/programs... But the easy paintbrush answer is it's buggy. and yes... there are people that don't have a clue and shouldn't even look at reshade, let alone download and play with it... But it is what it is.
  5. I take no ill will from these conversations, when they are over they are over. I will however stand up to statements of sarcasm as clearly was the intent of the following remark. "You are likely right, and the developers at Laminar are likely wrong, they disabled ReShade in error, I guess. They don´t know the next thing about coding and X-Plane, should have asked you for advice, I guess."
  6. Fine by me, all you do is come in here and defend Laminar! I see you on discord, I get the reasoning behind it all.
  7. Maybe they should have!!! I remember Ben telling me it was "IMPOSSIBLE" to have 3D rain effect without the 3D panel. Yet here we are!
  8. Been using reshade for years on multiple computers/hardware without issue, if it were bugs I'd suffer from the same problems as others... More than likely users that don't know what they are doing. What about Nvidia filters, is that loaded with bugs/issues or is that just too difficult for end users to manage?
  9. Hi, I don't use any freeware/payware mapping program or ortho4XP tiles in X-Plane 12 since I only fly at night, I'm back to default. I fly MS2024 for my day flights. I'm referring to re-shade as well as the Nvidia app for filters. I get the legality of the mapping programs, I'm amazed that the payware mapping program is still around with links found in online forums. But that's another story. But yeah, they are ruining my fun by making it harder to get their matte finish night environment looking closer to real. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1iojWRx6xcxRBVMZ0_JtS46R2usq2Phhw
  10. Laminar seems to dislike a lot of things that make XP12 look better!!!! Instead of banning these types of discussion, they should have a non-support section for those that want to use these types of additions!
  11. Yeah, MS2024 can produce some amazing screen grabs at dusk and dawn. The view is amazing!
  12. Since you seem to be isolated to Australia, you could download tiles at a much higher resolution with Ortho4XP. This is from four years ago using photoreal ZL18/19
  13. If you can't figure it out, try ctrl+alt+del and see what is actively running.
  14. Yeah, I run a 4090 and weren't able to get them up and running. and the drivers should be 566.36 and not 366.36. Wonder why I only see two filters when most see all of them.

  17. Hi Everybody, This sequence worked for me, it may work for you. Until I followed this approach, using the 366.36 (last known usable drivers for app filters) failed to load more than two filters.
  18. Will have instructions out soon, with a video showing the progress/results. I hope others have the same success!
  19. I believe I have found the sequence that allows the Nvidia app filters to work at will on my setup. I'm now checking to see if I can go from two filters to full filters as I please. Getting close!
  20. Still trying to find the sequence on my test computer. If I find it, I'll let you know. I want to make sure I can do this at will.
  21. The filters work fine with DLSS Super Resolution / Quality / Nvidia DLSS / X2 on the multiplier.
  22. I now have three sets of Nvidia app filters up in MS2024.
  23. Hey Everybody, Looks like I have it up, now to see if I can set them and cruise around without crashing. The menu has been up for over five minutes without closing or crashing MS2024. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1dBljKLslWcKZq3UYZ4BAKKK1VoyL3HJk
  24. Beats me, all I know is my night lighting in XP12 gets messed up if I install into MS2024 as well as XP12.
