https://flightsim.to/file/36003/airport-finder Exactly what I need, but looks like the project was abandoned with last update March 2023? Any alternative products that can scan my add-on airports and show them on a map with current weather overlay? Was hoping my Navigraph subscription would offer something similar but unfortunately not.

Since there is already a long thread about going back to 2020, I thought I would share my observations about MSFS 2024. I just went for a lovely flight in my C-BERT registered F33 Bonanza (Carenado payware), starting at CYVR, overflying downtown Vancouver, before heading for an RNAV LPV approach into my homebase of CYCD Nanaimo. Other than the fact that the F33 has a problem with its autopilot, and does not capture a target altitude correctly (reported to Carenado..), the flight was just lovely.. Smooth all the way (fps locked at 60), stunning scenery (helped by Samscene Vancouver), and a really good feeling of "being there". Every week, I fly with s…

In current version Tobii cause a CTD, when you try to adjust sensitivity. For anyone who is interested, there is a workaround on official forum. Works great for me. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/fs2024-ctd-when-adjusting-tobii-eye-tracker-curves/666006/75

This happened today and yesterday. Set up sim and selected Live Weather. Airport was EGAA (Belfast). The Metar had broken clouds and rain with vix 8000. However, flightsim had no clouds or rain - but the QNH and wind were both correct? Any ideas? Paul

Hello, I just purchased a new iPad ( A16 ) installed FS Map tool but it’s not working. " Waiting for server data…" Internet is working just fine on the iPad A16, did even a speed test (D- 870 Mbps / U -65 Mbps ) I checked many times the ip number on FS Map Tool installed on my PC , everything its okay. I tried ( testing only ) to disable the Windows 11 Firewall, no luck. I have another iPad Pro 12,9, older model ( 2018, I guess ) and its working great. Could that be because of the older vs newer iPadOS version ? Any advices are welcome, thank you, I really dont know how to fix this. Maybe some router settings ?

I'm looking at the news and reporting at FSElite's website, and unless I'm missing something, other than announcements by hardware makers, when it came to 3rd party software add-ons for the flight simulators, it was mostly MSFS related news and MSFS related releases. The biggest announcements of course, was the Toliss & Aerosoft collaboration on the A340, and also the hint by iniBuilds that they may be working on an A340 themselves. There was of course, other news about other upcoming MSFS releases at FSExpo. Of course there were announcements by the hardware makers too, as there were a lot of hardware makers there. But if you take away the announcements by th…

I'm interested in getting a Bell 206 helicopter and I see there's two to choose from, the one by Cowin Sim and the other by Flyinside Inc. I know Cowin Sim makes good X-Plane helicopters, I own his Bell 206 B3 for XP11 and it's fantastic but I'm very curious about the Flyinside model. In it's description it talks highly of the helicopter physics modeled in the aircraft like translational lift, transverse flow, etc.. but the Cowin Sim version does not mention anything about the flight model, all it says is "realistic flight model" so I have no idea what's all modeled in the MSFS version. I know all that stuff is modeled in Cowin Sim's X-Plane aircraft, a real life Bell…

I used DLSS Swapper to go from DLSS 310.2.1 to 310.3. FS2024 worked great for a day and it seemed to not suffer from drooping FPS on approach. Today I started the sim and saw that the only Frame Gen available in Settings is AMD FSR3 and it works very well. But - today the sim crashes within seconds or minutes with the nvlddmkm stopped responding error so I went back to DLSS 310.2.1. Now - no nvlddmkm errors but also no nVidia Frame Gen option. Everything looks proper to me - all the dlls seem to be there and the correct version. Any suggestions how to restore nVidia Frame Gen?

Why doesn't the ATR 72 get tossed around in wind or take turbulence hits in MSFS2020 like it does in real life? In real life, the ATR 72 reacts noticeably to turbulence and wind gusts—it's a high-wing turboprop with a relatively low cruise speed, so it feels bumps more than, say, a jet. But in MSFS2020, it often feels overly stable, even in moderate to heavy turbulence. It’s like it just cuts through unstable air like butter, barely reacting. Is this a flight model limitation? Or something in the weather/turbulence simulation? Anyone else feel like the ATR should be getting tossed around more?

I was flying the PMDG tonight, when I suddenly realized how dead the experience is, in terms of immersive ambient sounds. Such as hearing boarding sounds, cabin crew announcements etc. Are there any suggestions for an addon that will add just these? What I mean by that is, I know some of these career addons contain some things like that, but I'm not in the slightest bit interested in things like A Pilots Life ie. a career addons, so don't realy want to pay for something where 95% of the paid features are things I wouldn't be using. I'm just wanting simple immersion - hearing passengers boarding the plane, some basic flight attendent announcements, etc. …

At Flightsim.to https://nl.flightsim.to/file/94694/fly-tampa-amsterdam-several-fixes - Removed the water pool on bridge at taxiway V towards the Polderbaan (18R/36L). - Added grass throughout the whole airport to cover the blurry textures. - Trees around the airport have been removed. The airport really has an improved look. All credits to Sven.

When changing settings on the MCP and center console in MSFS 2024/SU2, e.g., changing the SPD, HDG, etc., the new numbers kind of fade-in instead of the crisp changes I see when doing the same thing with the same A/C in MSFS 2020 (PMDG B777-300ER). I tried several values for Graphics setting Glass Cockpit Refresh Rate (currently set to MEDIUM) but this has not helped. I don't have any stutter problems, A/C motion is smooth. Does anyone know how to address this issue ? Do others see this ? Is this considered a bug or working as intended ?

Before (in MSFS 2020): Black lines in the water - Bug Reporting Hub / Scenery and Airports - Microsoft Flight Simulator Forums After (in MSFS 2024): Black lines now replaced with white lines! There's "more than one way to skin a cat (scenery) eh??" 🙂 lol

Gliding in MSFS 2024 - Learning new things! I am more & more into it, actually stopped using Condor 3 which I woudn't have purchased if I could have been able to test FS 2024 with some really nice soaring weather presets... Why? Because even not being as detailled in various aspects of soaring, FS 2024 is good enough, actually even better for instance in reproducing some details of takeoff and landing physics AND above all it offer an admirable experience of feeling like being over the actual soaring areas IRL...

I was under the impression Bing map was same as google maps with satellite images of the places we will fly over but it seems not. Blackpool near where I live there is no tower, not piers and most of the big landmarks are not there. If I use the software to change to google maps will I get all the landmarks ? I have tried installing some of the add on packages but can't seem to get them to work. This is the whole reason I got this package MSFS2020 so I would fly round my local areas and see all the landmarks. Thanks Alan

Hi All, I have the latest version of FSUIPC, a programme I have been using for many years in MSFS 2020. Todate I have been binding my controls through the MSFS 2024 controls settings in MSFS 2024. Decided to revert back to have my bindings (except for the keyboard) back in FSUIPC. I can see that the assignments all appear to be working within FSUIPC, but I cannot get FSUIPC to 'talk' to MSFS 2024. So, for example if I select my 8 way hat switch, and start to pan around the cockpit - nothing moves (whereas I can see they are correctly bound in the FSUIPC interface). I have deleted new control profiles that I had created within MSFS 2024 - and now cannot figure o…

In the last two months I have started flying GA aircraft, 95% of the time. Lately only the Turbine Duke, and prior to that the SWS Pilatus PC12. I am paying an extra $30 a month for unlimited data with Comcast, and about 9 months ago when I started flying only tube liners, I went over the 1.2 TB data limit and had to start paying the extra $30. Now I have noticed that the same average 1 1/2 hour flights with GA, because of the reduced range, has resulted in a dramatic drop in my data consumption from MSFS. Less scenery loading, results in lower data usage, so I am going to cancel the unlimited data, because now I am using a .8 TB per month. That will be about a $300 a …
