Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Pretty much since the start of MSFS2020, I've been unable to fly to, or even overfly Germany. Doing so causes my sim to grind to a halt, and usually the performance never comes back. Flying in Scandinavia, the UK, France and Spain or Netherlands is fine. But as soon as I spend any amount of time in Germany, or Austria, Switzerland or even eastern Belgium, my frame rate starts dropping and I get really bad stutters. This happened on my old PC (no slouch either, with a 3080 card) and now on my current 7800X3D system with a 4090. As MSFS24 doesn't have an offline mode, what will happen if suddently the wifi stops working? And how much GB does the sim will take in about 1 hour?

If I use 2020 transversal keybindings the only way to enter the aircraft is to switch to 2024 transversal, press shift C, and then go back to 2020 preset. When I use my mouse to click Enter Aircraft nothing happens. But Toggle EFB will work. When I try to bind Enter Aircraft there is no keybind for that function. Anyone experienced this? Oh, of note that this is for 2020 aircraft in 2024... so non native aircraft.

I wanted to start a conversation about something I have been seeing more and more with scenery products that are released for both MSFS 2020 and 2024. Developers often advertise these as compatible with both versions, but in reality, my experience has been inconsistent. In many cases, the product will run well in one sim and poorly in the other. Hi, After a whole week of testing primary of the MaddogX in 2024 i was getting a freeze in VC (cockpit - active pause alike) but today it happened in the iFly 737 Max during Wingwing FMC input also to the 737 MAX8. Now i am on a MSFS2020 with the MAX8 and so far so good. Has any of you any knowledge to this ? I did re-install the Maddog but not the iFly737Max though Is it a WASM issue and does Simapppro and Mobiflight has any cause as well ? Thanks Michael Moe

HI is there a way to get the view from the fight deck higher up looking from the cockpit but when panning left or right behind a me to see under the wing and not the the top part of the window? I have noticed that Carenado high wing planes when looking left you are never under the wheel view and the cockpit covers most the forward view if you want to left view properly. Any solution to this?

Slowly moving across to 2024 now and I never used the Fenix much as I primarily flew pmdg's 737 but not an option on 24 yet so I'm happy to fly the Fenix but I seem to have nothing but weird behaviour going on, first I thought maybe I did something wrong but so far every flight has had issues even though I paid close attention to make sure I got nothing wrong during its setup. I'm flying at cruise now and suddenly for no apparent reason whatsoever the AP disconnects with a red AUTO FLT AP OFF message. MSFS2020 CRJ V2 Simbrief saved route problem Simbrief example: EDLP/06 WRB1X WRB Z190 ELNAT P605 DKB T104 ROKIL ROKIL1A EDDM/08L Depart RWY 06, Arrival ILS 08L Saving the Simbrief route then loading it into the MCDU Route results in: One extra waypoint. One wrong 3994nm route segment. Two identical ILS final approach sequences. Notes: Hand keying in the entire route worked OK. I use Navigraph.

Took the new CRJ for a flight this morning (KPDX/KABQ) to try out the new 2024 beta, .12. About one third through the flight it did a CTD. Oh well, sez I…it’s a beta. Turn around and load up same plane, same flight in 2020. CTD just 2 miles before TOD. Two flights, two CTD. Different sims. Anyone else seeing spurious CTD with the new Aerosoft release? TIA, -B

MSFS 2020. I use Orbx Trees which replaces all trees. I guess Rex Accuseason would conflict with Orbx if both were used. Can anyone confirm my assumption?

I mean, it would make sense to have just a beta megathread instead of a thread for each beta release, wouldn't it? New posts would refer automatically to the latest release, and considering that it's possible to opt out of the beta but not possible to get back to a previous beta version, only the newer posts are relevant. Quite pointless to continue discussing today about the issues of beta 10 when beta 13 is out now. What do you think?

Got the ms 2020 flight sim 40th anniversary. downloaded game and it let me start adding a few setting. I did not have my hotas plugged in as it was just a test opening it and was going to try it last night. Opened it last night and today get to a screen that says mandatory update goes on for hours and gets nowhere. seems to be downloading deleted and then downloading the same files and not going further. Read its a common problem but tried a few things and nothing has worked. renamed community folder updated xbox app , signed in to that and ms store. Anyone got a quick fix ? I get freezing stutters only in FBW a320. Plane runs otherwise well with 50fps, so 10fps more than inibuilds a320 v2. I know Im not the only one who's struggling with this, there's even a fix on flightsim.to But the fix doesn't work for me, even though ive done both of the suggested file switches (removing .disabled) from a couple of the files in the mod. Anyone care to share how they worked around this? Such a bummer, one of the best looking airports in the sim and it just looks goofy now... lol Thanks!

I've set all AI aircraft density settings in Beyond ATC to 8, but leaving EGLL this evening, I was half way through France before they instructed me to move off London control. There was so much traffic that it clearly couldn't cope. Surely it should prioritise the actual aircraft being flown over their own generated AI?

Cant decide if the performance will be good because if I have to dial down settings what point is there in going 4k? Currently my 2K 32 inch monitor runs well with high game settings.
