I'm looking for a Cessna 172 with the old style gauges on the panel for MS2020...No fancy electronic "all in one" instruments...Anybody have any ideas? Thanks!

Hi all - random question but I'm getting back into MSFS 2020 again...does anyone have any recommendations for particularly interesting/challenging flights they take the WT CJ4 on? (ones that might be realistically completed, not things like taking it into SABA etc.). The problem I have is because the aircraft is quite capable to take off/land on quite short runways it's hard to feel really challenged by it (And as always it looks like besides the FBW A32X it doesn't look like we have many airliner options right now!).

Reviews of Alder Lake-S have started going up ahead of launch. Gaming performance is very solid overall, however Microsoft Flight Simulator seems to be one of the few games where Zen 3 is on par or doing better on average. For those who want to go with an Alder Lake build, it might be best to wait and see whether Asobo can optimise further for the big.LITTLE architecture.

I've spent 2 days watching and learning how to program the Longitude with the WT G3000 mod and the LongitudeFDEfix mod. I'll be damned if i can get the engines to run. Following start up check list, i can get the both N2% up to 21% but when I move the covers and push the run button i get nothing. Have restarted a number of times. When i use the keyboard short cut control/e they start up no problem!!!.

So this may be a dumb question but how can I see snow in the sim? I have tried going to northern airports in USA where I know there is snow and I only see grass. Am I missing something? Do I need to buy an addon just to see snow? This seems so bizarre to me, so I must have done something wrong, but I don't know what it could be. Thanks

It can be an out of body experience. I've been having a blast with MSFS lately. I'm running the beta at the moment. I have a really fast internet connection, and have never had an issue with any of the installs (I always open and log into the xbox app before I try - and if I know there is an update pending, I also open it before launching MSFS - maybe that's why I have no problems?) so I figured why not? My current test flight is PVD - BWI. It is a short flight with a short 15-20 minute cruise between TOC and TOD. Just right in my opinion. For the past week, I've been doing 5:55AM to 6:15AM departures and the view out of the port side (sorry - boat captain here)…

In FSX/P3D we have been spoiled by the Lotus Simulations L-39. One day, an unknown developer dropped her on our lap. One of the best aircraft then IMO and very innovative too. In FS2020, we won't have her as Mike disappeared from the radar a couple of years after but we have now three small jets the T-45, the MB339 and the G91. What are your thoughts on these aircraft ? My touchstone is not much the beauty of the textures or whether the mirrors work. Not specially interested in a weapon option. My only touchstone is : will the aircraft kill me if I don't do the landing right😋 You catch my drift, flight modeling, inertia, engine spooling lag, slipperiness when desce…

Has anyone using the beta found a way to solve the throttle problem in the TBM 930 improvement mod (advancing the throttle forward, puts the throttle in reverse)? The author of the map says to "remap the throttle 1 axis" No idea what that means. Remap to a different axis? Which one? Remap to a key? I'm using ye olde F2 and F3 key, but that's finicky, not precise, and overdoing F2 means you're bound to put the plane in reverse.

One of the most iconic planes I grew up with was the C5-A living next to Dobbins AFB in 1969. My father worked at Lockeed designing the wings. The plane was like part of our family but it was a very stressfull job for my father as there were many design issues inititially; plus one blew up shaking the house I think during refuling. Lockeed also polluted the crrek behind our house the Nika Jack Creek. The creek would change colors daily. The plane brings back memories though and we loved hearing fly over the house followed by the chase plane. The C-141 was also a part of the family. X-Plane 11 had mediocre model. IMO. it would be great to have a full quality working C…

With GForce Experience running, hotkey Alt F3 is supposed to bring up color and contrast options (Freestyle). But with MSFS running and I press Alt-F3 I get message "A supported game is required to use this feature". So I can't do anything with Geforce Experience, like setting contrast, clarity, and color, etc.

Hello Guys, I have dedicated SSD NVMe 1Tb for the MSFS and addons. However the space available is shrinking. I am thinking about buying few HDD to put mainly the scenery on it. My aim is to keep MSFS SSD NVMe, but scenery like Airports/ORBX, etc. on new HDD drives and link it using Addon Linker for MSFS My question is, will I notice a significant decrease in loading times in MSFS booting using these method? Or the booting times does not matter as long as the MSFS is installed on the SSD? Thank you for your help.

Hello everyone, As a result of many requests which were very reasonable and justified, I have uploaded a revision of the Bonanza Turbo v4. It is now V4.1 and has much changed NAV coding that significantly improves waypoint capture and magenta line following with Working Title's NXi Beta. There are are further improvements especially in ground handling and general flight modelling. Many thanks to Cavaricooper, Bert Pieke and Nyxx for their testing contributions Please let me have your feedback if you are interest in this mod. Thank you. https://github.com/roblenvic/Bonanza-Turbo https://www.nexusmods.com/microsoftflightsimulator/mods/647 Rober…

Hi, I'm successfully using XPForce with the new MSFS and my Sidewinder Force Feedback 2. Before I was using FS-Force under P3D. XP Force seems to be working ok. There are some things that do not seem to work like for example the gear bump. I wrote Jim about this a few days ago but did not receive an answer so far. Can anyone confirm its working? Maybe I have some settings wrong. Actually I liked the FS Force effects a little bit more. But that might be a personal favorization. Are there any fine tuned plane presets available somewhere that might be exchanged in the community. I could not find a forum regarding that. Thank you! Best regards Andi

Hi there, Current limitations in MSFS prevents us from properly implementing realistic nose wheel steering. However, our stubborn developers have decided to do it anyways! Nose wheel steering will soon be integrated in the hydraulic system of the development version, and realistic tiller handle + rudder steering will require some taxi practice! While some inevitable bugs will remain until a fix, we hope you’ll enjoy this new addition! (Coming Soon). Check out our preview video: (PS: I feel the need to apologize for the music.)

I hate to create a new topic about this, but I've had this scenery for awhile, and I seem to have two taxiway signs for each taxiway. One looks like FSDT taxiway signs, the other looks default. I have the Delux Version of MSFS, and have uninstalled the Asobo version of KORD, but even so, I still have two taxiway signs for each taxiway/runway. It's not a huge issue, but it's certainly annoying. Is there a fix to get the FSDT taxiway signs to be the only ones that display? Thanks Edit: I have the MSFS store version of KORD from FSDT

So, some of us are getting back into flight sims again but we aren't pilots. I remember in FSX, they had quite a few lessons including VOR navigation, ILS approach, and even some lessons for Commercial Pilots and Airline Transportation Pilots with Rod Machado: http://krepelka.com/fsweb/learningcenter/lc_index_lessonsmain.htm However, when I saw this Youtube video of the lessons menu for MSFS 2020, there were only 8 lessons and I did not see a scrollbar or any other button to view further lessons: I know we can always read the FAA guidebook and other sources for the basics of flying, but of course it's more fun and more interactive to if…
