Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi I have MSFS set up on both PC and Xbox under the same account. Usually if I buy an addon it can be used on both. I have recently bought the Black Box Islander and installed on Xbox, very nice it is too. I have installed it on the PC under Content Manager as well but it doesn't come up under plane selection when I go to the flight planner although it shows as installed under Content Manager. Is there any way of using this on my PC as well or will I have to uninstall from Xbox first? Thanks, Paul

I have read the entire User Guide for Spad.Next. I have the paid version. I thought I understood everything and tried some simple settings to make sure I had the basic concepts down. But when I tried to set up the Bravo trim wheel and assigned Elevator Trim Up or Down, there was no Repeat option like for other buttons. Could someone who is using Spad.Next to adjust their Bravo trim wheel explain to me how they've done it? Thanks, Rob

I had one button on my HOTAS X52Pro throttle configured as: PRESS and HOLD and then move throttle full forward and that way the throttle went in reverse. But after SU7 this doesnt seem to work (not for me at least). Press for toggle works somewhat, but in a random way? How do you properly configure this?

Hi folks, I'm somewhat new to using the pushback system in this sim and would like to request some help. I normally use the short cut SHIFT + P to initiate (and then discontinue) a pushback. But I'm finding, with the Baron at least, that after the pushback is done, the plane remains locked in place. All efforts to release the brakes are for naught. Oddly enough, when advancing the throttles, I see the airspeed climb and yet, the plane cannot be moved. Is there something I'm missing here? Also, is the pushback option available at very airport? Lastly, can the direction of the pushback be modified, as PMDG does?

Since My recent install I noticed that the textures from the hinges and latch on the window of the default Beech are transparent. They are not there. I didn't think too much of this since I don't fly it but I just installed the PMDG 747-8 and there are missing and transparent textures on the window of that so something is amiss here and seeing as that is the same thing in P3D and MSFS it must be something related to my setup and yes, all drivers and windows are completely up to date. I only installed them a couple of days ago. And what the PMDG should look like And what it actually looks like. Any ideas?

I am trying to fly the 787, but when I click the LNAV or VNAV buttons on the autopilot panel, they never activate. Other buttons like FLCHG do work. any thoughts? thanks.

hello, i could not find a way to manage my MSFS addons in the way i liked so i came out with this little idea to just add them in a folder and then create links in the community folder (so much better than having to move tons of file). For the first time since long time I am enjoying MSFS immensely... beautiful weather representation, realistic clouds and sky without color banding, no shimmering, excellent performance and stability with 496.76 Geforce driver. You can also remove all the tweaks in the 3D settings and UserCfg.opt file too (sharpen, film grain = 0, AA gamma correction off), they are no longer needed to try to patch up the abomination they did with SU5. The current hotfix beta is how MSFS is meant to be. We are getting there...

I am desperate...Apparently my exe.xml file has been corrupted and I can no longer run the simulator...It returns me to the desktop immediately after the "Game Of The Year" splashscreen...I had just purchased the Bravo Throttle Quadrant and tried to install the program for it, "AFC Bridge"...Something screwed up! Hi All, I read a lot of positive news about the AIG AI Manager regarding the AI traffic. I've installed both tools from AIG. But at a certain point you need to link to both your AIG and Avsim accounts. So I tried to register an account via the AIG site. But the verification questions on their site are not easy at all. I can answer almost all of there questions but I'm always stuck on the manufacturer questions. Ie where they ask 2 or 3 letters. Example -> Manufacturer of A350 engines? (2 letters): -> I know the manufacturer is Airbus but I don't know what they expect as answer with 2 letters. I have tried all common combinations …

Hi folks, Its the time of year for our company profit sharing bonus, and this year I think I will use some of it for an msfs hardware purchase of some kind…I’m leaning towards a gps unit and came across the flightsim builder gns unit, I’ve known about realsimgear but the flightsim builder unit seems quite a bit more affordable, which in a way makes me a bit reluctant at the same time…I can YouTube and google, but would like to get opinions on avsim users who have either tried it or have it…if there are any of course. For the cost of these, it may be better to just get a monitor with airmanager.
