Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi, I am currently flying the Aerosoft CRJ as my go to modern airliner in MSFS. I never tried the FBW A32NX yet. I was wondering if I can expect a better experience with the A32NX ( dev version) than with the CRJ. I am a bit tired of the CRJ wobbling around when passing waypoint, FMS predicted data non sense, and LNAV trajectory bugs. Is the FBW more robust in these matters ? I am afraid to be disappointed in flying the A32NX regarding systems because I spent a lot of time reading Airbus materials in previous sim and I am worried to discover lots of non modelled stuff while flying normal ops. Good investment this bit of kit was and the Just Flight Warrior II would be lacking without it to my mind but does anyone know how to enter an approach procedure without a transition? Sometimes I just want the final approach in there especially if the only transitions are in silly places relative to my path to the airport from my flight plan. An example: I just did a flight along the Rhine from Strasbourg - Cologne/Bonn. My flight plan had me coming at the airport from the south west in line with RWY32R. Looking on navigraph I could just fly straight in on the ILS RWY 32R or I could fly the same approach with either the COL or NVO transition. Those two transitions to…

I'm really liking the PMS50 GTN750 mod for the Mooney M20R. I use a stream deck with flight tracker and a small home made rotary box with mobiflight. I'm just wondering if there is any way I can control some of the GTN750 with key commands so I can assign a few buttons to the stream deck instead of using mouse clicks. I'd like buttons or keycommands for: Home Screen Map Flight Plan CDI Toggle Back Zoom In-Out Direct To etc etc This is mainly for ergonomic reasons aslo as I get older I like to use the mouse less and I do fly in 3rd person view mostly so I can enjoy the scenery and look at historic places etc. …

I love this plane cause I am a Boeing guy and am very familiar with their systems. That being said, I'm getting frustrated with the controls and rotary knobs on this plane. When I'm on approach, I'm trying to change the range on the MFD, my cursor goes from arrow to pointer back and forth where as I cannot find the sweet spot to change the range. What usually happens, I enlarge the main view instead of changing the range and I will wind up putting it in active pause till I get it right. Is there some kind of work around to fix this? Gnacino

Hi fellow simmers, and Seasons Greetings to you all. I am hoping someone can guide me as to how to configure my Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog throttle to work with the FBW A320 with detents and reverse thrust. I have it set up to work with the the default A320 (not with detents) and also use it correctly in P3D, both with reverse thrust on the throttle axis. FBW have some excellent help notes on their website, but I am not winning, so any and all help appreciated. Thanks

I've build a complete new PC (see signature) - no overclocking, installed Windows 11 Pro and the necessary drivers/utilities. Then I installed MSFS Premium DL (GOTY Edition) and downloaded the World Updates. No add-ons in the community folder. All was set by MSFS (ULTRA). Unfortunately I was not able to start any flight so far, neither in Default nor in MSFS Safe Mode. After starting MSFS I reach the Welcome screen, choose a default airport with default a/c and start the flight. The flight starts loading and just before finishing: CTD. Recently bought a Fulcrum yoke, which is a lovely bit of gear, but ever since I haven't been able to get full throttle in any aircraft. For example on the Cessna 152 and 172 I can only get c. 2300 rpm instead of c. 2700 - the T/O power difference is noticeable, with the F18 shows max power at c. 94%. I'm using a CH Throttle for throttle control, have recalibrated it using the CH utility and checked in-game settings including sensitivity to make sure I'm getting full travel. I am as far as it says, and in the cockpit view I can see the throttle is getting full travel. Ie visually I'm getting full throttle, but in performance that's mapping to a lower figure. Last …

I downloaded the MSFS 2020 Google Map replacement and have used it several times without any problem, but I have not been impressed. I have the latest version and set it up as directed in the demonstration video. I have also viewed many comparison videos but have not personally seen much difference in my setup. I decided to go to a specific location and chose Lord Howe Island in the South Pacific Ocean as I felt such an isolated place would demonstrate apparent differences. The results surprised me. Hi: I am a fairly patient person, but I have tried everything I can think of to get the lights on the Bravo Throttle Quadrant to work...I have downloaded drivers, the drivers appear to be installed as the drivers are installed in my community folder...I have watched every YouTube video I can find on getting the lights to function, but nothing works...( I also fly P3d, and the lights work perfectly)...Can anyone give me suggestions on what else to try>? I really like Bijan's seasons for what they are, but they are very limited in many ways. The concept may not be doable, but I'd rather Asobo decide that so just hoping to plant a slow-germinating seed as it were. Consider voting on it in the hopes it makes it to Asobo's wishlist review at some point. Cheers

When I display the Flight Plan in the MFD it only shows the first 3 or 4 waypoints, There is what appears to be a white slider to the right of them which I assume to be so you can slide it down and see the other waypoints. How do I slide it down? Or if this is not what it is for, how do I see the other waypoints. Thanks, Roy

So I decided to try out the beta with live weather and chose KEYW of which to take off. Metar said broken clouds at 9500 feet. I decided I'd level out at 6500 feet. However, during ascent and at that altitude, there were still clouds around me and even well below me. Are they still continuing to fine-tune the altitude of clouds, or is that something considered "fixed"?

Alright, community check on this as I'd like to see if this is isolated to me or is this common for everyone. I consistently lose the connection to the ATC server, sometimes 10 mins into the flight, the other half way through the flight. I can only hear my co-pilot answering the ATC's instructions, all other traffic chatter is gone. I know this started happening and was reported to Asobo since SU5, but I don't know whether it was even acknowledged as a bug. Are you guys consistently experiencing this too?

Hello, I flew the solo flight in the training section. I was confident that I had done everything correctly and greased my landing at the right. To my surprise, I was told that I could do better and got a B without any explanation. Is there a way to find out the reasons behind the given mark? If not, well, something is missing... THX

Has anyone tried to import the A2A exterior aircraft lighting from FSX? I find the stock lighting in MSFS to be rather lacking (with a few exceptions, like the landing lights on the TBM).
