I'm feeling a bit dumb here. Im tring to set up the AP for the Kodiak on my controller and we have a few commands. One I'm not familiar with is Freeze Altitude. Are some of these commands the redundant ? SET AP VS HOLD - Sets the VS you want to go once you dial it in TOG AP VS HOLD - Turns the VS on off so pilot contols VS manually SET CURRENT AP VS - What ever the prsent VS is, the plane traverses at that speed TOGGLE AP ALT HOLD - Turns the present ALT on off TOGGGLE FREEZE ALT - ? SET FREEZE ALT- ?

Any suggestions on the best online location to buy the new Kodiak? there are a lot of options so thought it'd be best to get input for example, on simmarket it's advertised for 35 euro, while on simworksstudios it's only 30 euro...

This has never happened to me until today, repeatedly: - the sim loads normally to the main menu. - I select my departure (I tried different ones, just in case...) and click on "Fly" - the process starts and never ends The task manager shows low CPU usage (12% MSFS of total 13%), near zero GPU usage, zero disk activity, zero network activity but VERY HIGH (red) power usage!, which is inconsistent with the usage data. AFAIK, I have changed nothing since y'day, when all was OK. Has anybody experienced something like this? What should I look for? Many thanks, Philippe

I just want to share this little lecture on optimizing the SIM for stutterfree and fluid experience. I'm on the last BETA now and also with my old 1070 I can achieve a stutterfree and flawless experience with most settings on high and ultra. I've been flying MSFS for a year now and have almost never gotten any CTDs, even with tons of addons. But today I got the new Kodiak, loaded it up with only the NXi and an airport in the Alps and first flight had a CTD when about to land. Tried it again, and another CTD. Anyone else having issues with the Kodiak?

I've updated win 10, Video drivers current, running the SU7 hotfix. Community folder empty with exception of the latest FBW A320 (tried both development and stable). All other planes get to the airport departure post loading after hitting the FLY button including the default A320, but regardless of weather, time of day, airport, the FBW progress strip eventually runs out with the random background screen and FBW factoids scrolling away on the bottom left. While checking the Kodiak flight_model.cfg file, I found a snippet of garbage code which may or may not interfere with the proper interpretation of the cfg file. For good measure, I have commented out the "mystery line", found in this file (which is actually a snippet of code from the Lighting Template file). // L:SWS_LIGHTING_Switch_Light_#LIGHT_TYPE#_#ID#) Maybe it did no harm, but I do think it is better bypassed. Anyone ever have any issue downloading product direct from SWS. I'm trying to download the Kodiak and every time the download reaches 50%, it resets back to zero and the process just repeats over and over. Thanks, LouP

Can't believe this forum is still going! Havn't posted for 10 years... I don't have FS2020 (wish I did) due to a bad internet connection but I know what I would be doing if I did. One of the gems of the old FSX default scenery was Chisana Alaska. I imagine it would look even more amazing now. It is possible that even microsoft are not aware of how good these Alaskan airports looked (they were modelling the whole world). Stray a few miles away from the following routes and the scenery becomes pretty rubbish in FSX, but between these airfield it is simply amazing. My favorite ride was the Bell helicopter. How am I supposed to manage this. I know the plane automatically handles the prop, but most of the time the prop is in the yellow and sometimes in the red, which is what is necessary when taking off or climbing. What am I doing wrong?

So I have MSFS installed on a PC, and am trying to install it on a different PC. To speed it up, I copied most of the folders in the Packages/Official/Steam directory (about 100GB). I then fired up MSFS installer, pointed it to the correct directory, and it began downloading…but saying it had 110GB left to download 😑 I expected it to only have a few GB to download as I had already copied the bulk of the data over! Anyone know how to get MSFS installer to recognize data already copied to the Packages folder??

Again, weather is not injecting correctly into MSFS. Today flying over Cairo, the METAR says overcast, and MSFS has blue skies and a few small clouds. I don't know if they are experimenting, but they have done exactly the same as the vaccine: the user pays, experiences the beta fixes, and the team is pointing out and discarding the errors. after, they take the money, and we have given our time. very bad MSFS. I bought a product with some guarantees. And two years later it is full of problems. They don't even allow a refund.

The C22Y Ventura trainer is at the Marketplace for $9.99. I was reading at the devs website and clicked on Buy it at SimMarket. It is $7.14 converted from Eurors until early January. Nothing unique or earth shattering but a great flying small twin jet powered plane that handles quite nice. Easy to read steam gauges, retractable, shaped like a jellybean, side by side seating, decent speed and range. Original documentation from rw trainer plus an updated Quick Start guide. OK, my pride is out the window...I am now begging for help programming my new Bravo Quadrant autopilot...No matter what I do, or no matter how many YouTube videos I stare at, I cannot get it functioning properly...Either the bindings do exactly the opposite of what I intended, the Increase and Decrease knob adjusts two setting at once, etc, etc, and so on...Is there any source of step by step, word not allowed and senior citizen proof instructions out there on how to go from zero to programmed? And yes, I have searched till my fingers are numb...Help will be appreciated!

Hello all, Today I tried my first transatlantic flight in MSFS2020 and I constantly kept crashing. I managed to resolve most issues though every time I exit cockpit view into external view I crash. Information: RTX3060-ti, Ryzen 5 3600, 16gb ram. The flight was in a 787-10 and was from Heathrow to JFK.
