Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

This past two days I cannot get NAV1, NAV2 etc to work. I can select the frequencies, but somehow they are not being picked up. I have tried the default planes and I use addon linker to ensure mods are not being used. It is not picking up the localiser or the approach, thus something has happened which baffles me! Has anyone had this, or knows how to rectify it. Please let me know. Thanks Martin

This morning, I completed a short flight from KFLL to KDCA with the FBW A320 and marveled at a number of improvements this year has seen in MSFS, most of which have been freeware. Taking off from RWY 10 L, I overflew Fort Lauderdale harbour with its numerous cruise ships and felt... my eyes getting wet... fifty years ago I was officer on a cruise ship rotating out of FLL each winter during six months, obviously many things changed since then, but I could recognise where my ships berthed and the cruise terminal (thanks to MSFS satellite image), and the entrance bordered on the North side by condominiums where residents were waving flags at us when moving in or out... …

I've never had a CTD ever with MSFS2020. However, since I updated my video drivers yesterday, I can't get into a flight without a CTD. Anyone else experiencing a problem with the new drivers?

How does the 4 season pack handle winter textures, i.e., snow on the ground?

I know this is a fairly niche inquiry but is anyone aware or heard anything about plans to improve the aircraft lighting. I'm a GA flyer mostly and the aircraft lighting (strobes and beacons specifically) are erm.... underwhelming to say the least. Almost impossible to see and incredibly faint anytime that is not nighttime. I think back how to A2A's Shockwave lights addon basically transformed the look and feel of aircraft lighting in FSX and I guess just miss that level of impressiveness, relatively speaking. Hi!, All captains and first officers for last few days I have been trying to install the AIG MOD and there are couple of videos there are quite nicely explained but problem is when I need to log onto two WEBSITES for the installation, one of AIG forum and one is this AVSIM forum. Logging onto AIG forum is no problem but when I want to log in to avsim I can not get trough there are two problems one is when I click from the INSTALLATION screen for AVSIM one small screen comes on with some error massages saying scripts error along with some URLs and an other one is when the AVSIM library page pops and I put my user name password the massage comes password is wrong and anothe…

Does anyone have an FBW Simbrief profile or specs to create one? When I pick the NEO in simbrief, for example, and load a full plane, it gives more pax then what FBW can handle. So in the MCDU W/B page, I get an error until I keep reducing the number of pax. It would be helpful for CI and fuel burn as well. Any help would be great!

Hello, Since latest update I noticed that I can only change amount of fuel via the tablet inside the cockpit. When changing it in the msfs weight menu , with the slider, it keeps jumping back to previous amount. So I change it om the tablet. But in the mcdu the zfw is always shown as the empty weight of the aircraft...(aprox 42 tons, something like that. ) regardless the amount of payload I set. Someone also have this , and why / how to fix this ? Thnx.

I ran into an issue while trying a few different flights yesterday in the latest Beta but I don't think the Beta caused the issues I had. The day before I had finally set up a folder structure in my Addons folder, sorting all my Addons into different categories. Then yesterday every flight I tried with the 172 G1000 and the Baron, both usiing the NXI version of the G1000, had some weird entries in the flightplan that were over 10,000 miles from the proposed plan. I started looking into a cause this morning. When I pulled up the Addon Linker I noticed I now had a bunch of "ghost" links showing in the right window. In FSX you used to be able to hit 'Q' and mute the program.. I can't find a feature like this in MSFS. Does it exist? I'm trying to fly and watch TV during cruise on longer sectors.

Refuel / Air station. Barstow California desert highway 395. Can't have pilot inside, can't have prop turning. I don't know about the top warning (doesn't look like the no smoking signs I've seen). But you are encouraged to do 2 things down by the wheels, one is use a chock, not sure the other.

I was wondering what thoughts are about subscribing to Beautiful Model of the World. The airports look very nice, and it appears to be a one time $30 charge. I am thinking about doing it but I am curious as to whether folks thing it is worth it. It seem very reasonable on the surface, so I am just looking for a little nudge before opening up the wallet. Just downloaded the new public beta testing version of Microsoft Flight Simulator v1.21.17.0 where TrackIR was supposed to be fixed. Now, when I press the "Ready To Fly" button I am spawned with my view looking straight down at my seat, and re-centering TrackIR 5 with the F12 key, or hitting the "F" button or "CNTL-SPACE" to Resit Cockpit View does not change my view. I am stuck looking straight down at my seat. My TrackIR 5 is working fine in IL-2 Great Battles, IL-2 1946 BAT Pegasus, and Rise of Flight.
