Whenever I go into General Options > Misc > Pilot Avatar and hover my mouse over one of the options (Default, Pilot 1, Pilot 2, etc.) I used to get a preview on the right side under "Description" of what that avatar looks like. But now when I hover over an option nothing happens. This also applies to other options. It used to give me a description of the option when I hovered over it, but now I don't see that. This started after SU7, but it may not be a bug. It could just be something I inadvertently changed in my settings. Is anybody else seeing this? Thanks.

My family and friends joined one of these services where you are assigned to get a present for someone else in the group. Then you can pick the present you would like to get out of a list of presents they have. Some of these presents are gift cards. I Googled flight sim gift cards and came up with this. https://store.flightsim.com/product/gift-card/ This not only works for MSFS, but they have all the sims listed, that you can purchase scenery, aircraft, etc. Thought this would help simmers, that want to suggest to someone, what they would like for a Christmas Present, or any other special day.

Slaven [Z+1] — Yesterday at 9:42 AM @everyone Stable 0.1.11 released Good day everyone! It's been a while since I last wrote in here, as times have been quite hectic, but Heavy Division is still going strong. It's with great pleasure that we can announce that the next stable version of B78XH has been released. Stable version 0.1.11 introduces compatibility with SU7 / SU6 and it features a completely reworked FMC which has been long under way. Both the design and the logic of the FMC has been reworked, including the Simbrief integration tool. The Simbrief integration tool supports "ingame" and "SB" strategy, but it's recommended that all users use the …

I am parked in Venice, Italy. The NOAA METAR indicates a CAVOK weather and the Asobo engine shows a very cloudy weather. Asobo wins this one, after having checked with Windy.co and local weather cams.

Or have I somehow borked something in the sim? No matter what I do I cannot get the FBW A320 to take on more than 8710 lbs of fuel. So I cannot make the flights I would like to and as such its a bit useless. I need to learn the CRJ but not sure if I am going to get the same there. Any advice?

The problem is that I don't get full authority of the left (or right - if I reverse the control axis) aileron. On the ground, I perform a pre-flight control check using external views and everything looks good. Once airborne, the control stick animation moves opposite what the my aileron axis input is, and I have limited roll authority. I can input full aileron in one direction, but in the other direction it initially moves and then 'snaps' back. This is confirmed using external views. This repeats across different aircraft, and with both my VKB Gladiator stick and Honeycomb Alpha Yoke. I have unplugged all controllers except the one I want to use for pitch and roll,…

I am on the xbox and everything works fine until they decide to update. I am working on disabling auto updates. I like it the way it was. But the question is where do I enable the gauges? I fly outside the cockpit. Ive had this game 2-3 months and NEVER lost the gauges. How can I get these back. The game is no longer fun after the latest mess they did. Thanks

Dear MS, why do we, the general public, 15 months after the initial release, still have to beta test MSFS? You introduced a new show stopper today with 232 Celsius above FL240. Why is there _no_quality_control_ before you release something???? Why do you not test the code changes before release? You certainly have the funds for a test team, after all MSFS2020 is game of the year! I am very supportive and amazed what you have created, but please test releases!!! It should not be a 10 year beta program for a product that people paid good money for!!!

I saw a post on the official forums about a week ago on one of the threads complaining about post-SU7 weather problems in which someone said that using REX Weather Force solved the problems -- but the poster didn't specify that one of the problems it solved was the omnipresent haze. Has anyone tested this out yet?

If hold Alt left I can popout windows like PFD / ND on my new CRJ and move them to another monitor. Is there a way to save the position / size? It is really annoying to have to resize and drag them everytime to the right position. I allways used a program called Panel store restore but it doesn’t seem to work anymore with MSFS. Gr. Robert

Felt compelled to offer my thoughts on this one, after picking it up last night. Relevant background - I have around a thousand hours in various Stearmans in the real world over the last 20 years, mostly in the stock 220hp w/Continental engine, and much of the time serving as an instructor. The TL;DR is that I’m impressed. I was expecting to be pretty critical of this model, given how familiar with and fond of this airplane I am in reality. And certainly, I found issues. But overall, this model really does give you a sense of what it feels like to fly a Stearman. I had a ton of fun trying it out last night. First, the areas that could be improved: 1. 3…

Okay, so I'm in the Bonanza coming in perfectly on the glidepath. Speed 65 kts. Everything looking good. I get over the end of the runway and hold the yoke steady and turn off the AP. Then everything goes crazy. Sometimes it just falls to the ground. Most every time it takes a sharp turn to the left of right. I usually miss the runway. Also, I don't know when to kill the throttle and so I have trouble getting it to slow down. I would appreciate someone that can tell me what I'm doing wrong. It's very disappointing to make a perfect flight otherwise and have it end like this. Thanks, Roy

Hello simmers, I'm planning on upgrading my 10 year old pc with a new i7 12700KF with 32gb ram and new Asus mobo. Any suggestions on how-to get around the process of having to install the whole sim again? On the initial install I selected the E: drive (SSD) as the MS2020 folder, the rest (sim core files I suppose) were installed on my Windows drive, haven't had any issues with this setup and FS2020 is quite stable. Also, any thoughts on Win11 or should I stay on Win10 for now. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. Carlos

As a Prepar3d customer, Orbx offers a 50% on the Brisbane MSFS Airport. Can anyone comment on this and the Brisbane city pack? The two together are only like $14 total but I am trying not to go overboard on MSFS scenery. Cheers, Pete

Regardless of what is working well (or not) at the moment, once successfully in-flight I'm continuously amazed at what has been accomplished with topography around the world. It is rare that I don't see something unique or interesting on a flight. On a recent flight from Brazil to Columbia I glanced down and saw the following: At first glance it appeared to be a very large plateau - I wondered for a second whether the sim was mistakenly adding snow to the side of the plateau? When I looked closer, I thought that it might be water going over the side (a very large waterfall, considering I was at FL280). I noted that my position was to the east of Amazonas, Ve…

I have always enjoyed excellent performance and this issue has only made itself known since SU-7. Symptom: When panning in the VC or if moving around the VC using the arrow keys, frequently but not always I will see screen tearing and blocky artifacts, very much like the blocky artifacts that show up for landing lights when they go wonky. This occurs while In getting a solid green 60 FPS. Ive made no changes other than SU-7 so it seems related. Anyone else seeing this or something similar? Thanks, -B

Need better procedure paths? Tired of LNAV issues? We are working hard to expand our implementation to support significantly more accurate path predictions and turns. Below is a preview of a capture turn into a course-to-fix leg, and an overfly turn direct to a fix. Those behaviours have been verified by our devs to be extremely close to real life path drawings. Coming soon to an FMS near you! P.S.: the drawing on the arc sharply intercepting the leg does look strange - but I can promise this is how our FMS draws this in real life!
