Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

I'm getting search fatigue. I'm sure some of you have been there. There are tons of modded freeware planes, sub-par payware, planes good for one trip, etc. I'm looking for a high quality, realistically modeled (systems, flight dynamics, etc), payware/payware quality airplane. I'm really looking forward to the PMDG series as well as the Fenix and others. So just looking for something to hold me over till those get released. Any suggestions?

Hello all, As usual, I have had a few problems with the update which have been largely resolved after three days. However, a couple remain that I need some help with if possible. 1. My mouse will not click or activate the ATC screen. It will, though, click on things in the cockpit. I do not have a clue how to sort this one out. I ensured in controls, that the mouse was default and that sorted out the clickspots in the cockpit but I still cannot click on ATC commands to activate them. I cannot also click on close ATC (X) and, 2. My Google maps replacement which worked well prior to the update now goes into the black screen for a little while and then comes…

I'm trying to generate a token on the avwx website, and the account page on their site will not load. https://account.avwx.rest/ Is this just me, or are any of you having this issue as well? (this would be to enable the METAR report capability on the pms GNS530 mod -- every time MSFS does a SU, it overwrites the .json file containing the token, and stupidly, I always forget to back it up)

Weather's a little murky in S Texas so thought id shoot some rnav approaches today. But either I've forgotten a step (very possible) or the last update has crippled the selection process for the approach selection ? Could someone else try and report back ? Thanks

Currently I am doing a TestFlight with the default 747. I cannot disable the HDG Hold button.. I set another Heading and CTRL + T seems to do nothing . Clicking with the mouse on top of the SEL knob also does nothing. How do I change direction with the AP ? My hardware flightcontrols are assigned in Prosim so I need mouse + keyboard to operate everything. Just a heads Up for those that are looking for a specific add on that is not discounted at the Marketplace or Orbx. I found one of my favorite airport sceneries, PHOG Kahului on Maui, at SimMarket with a 35% discount today. Marketplace and Orbx do not have this one discounted. So, for the sim that lets you fly and land virtually anywhere, how do you start a flight off-airport where it doesn't start you in the air? I was flying through Canada and landed at Banff/CYBA but when I went to start a new flight I could not figure out a way to start the flight at the airport on the ground. I have also planned to do so some bush flying and it seems like there should be a way to use gps coordinates to do the same. Is there something obvious I am missing? 🤔

Hey Gang! Anybody notice that the nose gear on the DA40's flutter when you try to taxi? It's impossible to taxi both DA40's properly after SU7, and if you go in external view while trying to taxi you will see what I mean. Anyone noticed this yet?

I am not a big fan of the Asobo PC-6 and I am tired of looking at this image with the emerald water background while loading the sim. I would like to substitute one of the other earlier images (French Aps near Courchevel). Anyone advise me which to look for the PC-6 image? I have the Steam version. Regards, Ray

Hello Gang! Has anybody noticed that there are not blue taxiway lights at LFMN since SU6? I’ve tried both, the default LFMN that came with SU6 (I believe it is an enhanced airport), as well as the JustSim version and same issue. Any ideas? I get runway lights as well as taxiway centerline lights, but no blue taxi lights.

It would appear that SU6 broke the outside registration numbers and the inside ASI in my favorite airplane. The culprits are the four LOD00 files in the model folder. I have logged this at Zendesk, but in the interim you can replace these files by the SU5 version if you kept a backup.. I hope you have less trouble. 🙂 If you end up not liking the changes or something gets screwed up, you can delete the Bonanza and reinstall it in MSFS.

I know the VNAV works correctly for the Working Title CJ4 but have any of the other aircraft in the sim been updated to reflect proper VNAV functionality?

When I go to my Content Manager, and then Not Installed tab, I see there are 55 items available. Now, most of them, aren’t of particular interest to me but some are. However, when I select one (like San Juan Islands 1.3), there doesn’t appear to be an option to ‘install’ it. It just shows that it has been selected, but there’s no next step. Am I missing something?

Since SU7 GOTY, I have had my G1000 screens not working, being dark...just broken. Was pulling my hair out...and finally yesterday, after starting to pull stuff from the Comm Folder...I hit upon the file that was borking my G1000 displays, in SU7. They worked in SU5/6 It was the file from flight.to called SHUT UP...which removes the warning call outs on Amphibs between a landing gear landing, and a water landing. You normally have to press the square aural cancel button on the right side of the landing gear controls. This would cancel those calls in Su5 and 6, but broke the G1000's including custom ones, with SU7 GOTY. So, if you have borked G1000's...and you als…

Hi everyone. I am watching some videos for some third party products and I am hoping some of you might be able to take a minute to give me some feedback. Just high level stuff like do you use it, is it a good product to have/use, etc. Here are the products I am curious about right now: SIMBRIEF (any advantage to using this over the in-sim flight planning services, is it stable, etc)? PILOT2ATC (anyone using it, stable, etc.)? VATSIM n(same things, using it, stable, fun to use)? One last thing: How do you completely turn off ATC in-sim?

Question for those with G1000 experience: While in a holding pattern following a missed approach -- how do I update the NXi flight plan in order to fly to an alternate airport and shoot an approach there? -- can I enter the necessary updates while the AP continues to fly the holding pattern?
