Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Just to add to the growing list of things broken by SU 7.. My (very expensive) Flight illusion radio stack now no longer works... Software says it's connected but alas does not control anything....In my eyes that is a backwards step and a bit of a deal breaker... Works flawlessly in Prepar3d apart from the transponder state switch as there is no key/Lvar for it in prepar3d.. Dave

I*ve got a couple of addons for Black Friday including Drzewiecki Chicago, and Drzewieckis Chicago is my first addon scenery that gives me a slideshow. I don't have anything in my community folder that I could think of that would affect my Chicago addon. Is anyone aware of any compatibillity issues with Drzewieckis Chicago and SU7? I've regularly flown over graphically demanding scenery, including addons, but I never got my FPS under 30 fps with everything at ultra at 2560*1440 resolution except now in Drzewieckis Chicago when the FPS is hovering around 10 fps.

This Monday evening, I was on Southwest flight 300 from Tampa, FL to Baltimore, MD. I snapped the first picture using my crappy cell phone camera. Last night, I decided to duplicate that flight in MSFS. The second picture is a screen shot taken on departure. I made no attempt to get the same area in the pics, it just happened. Pretty cool! SWA needs to clean the windows on their aircraft a little better.

Hello Gang! Yesterday I downloaded the Embraer Phenom 100 addon that was made available at Flightsim.TO. The addon is a true gem - has a couple of small details to be addressed but it is a superb addition. I went to look for it today and noticed it is no longer available. Any ideas what may have happened to it? Might it have been an illegal post perhaps? I find it odd that it was such a high quality freeware addon and that it was taken out quickly!!!!! Hi, I bought a Thrustmaster T.16000 FSC because my Logitech Flight System broke. I installed today and everything is ok after calibration and assignments, but there is a thing that I can't solve: when I stop the aircraft the camera in the cabin begins to move from bottom to top. And I can't stop it! It's very strange, because the joystick, throttle and pedals work ok. Please, anyone that has the same hotas can help me? Regards.

Trying to figure this one out but I’m also not totally sure this is a bug. I’ve tried without any custom vmr files (Stock) and with a custom VMR file. What I’m finding is the NAV lights on the aircraft will reflect off the ground, but until they get into the air, they’re not very visible on the aircraft itself. If I move the camera up close to the aircraft I can see it on the tips, but just barely. From any distance you can’t see it at all. Strobes, beacon, landing, and taxi lights seem to be working fine. Do I have this right? The reason I am questing is, the 1920 x 1080 is recomended and PMDG Operation center v2 is like this? I can't use it.

I wanted to use a key-shortcut for toggeling the taxi lights. In the menu there is such an entry with Alt+j, however, if I use it it's toggels RWY Turn off lights of FBW A320 to on or off. I couldn't find anything else in the menu. Is there are an option to do that? I don't use FSUIPC, and don't want to buy it for that money just because of little features that I would use.

It seems that the weather is fixed now for Asobo, no comment on the low clouds and the visibility issues. Let's not stop reporting and asking them to fix it. It's clear in Dubai right now, but I found a webcam in LOWI, pretty much documenting the above. METAR reports visibility 9999.

I have just checked AIG Manager, however that's a long way getting to the goal. Is there a simpler way of doing this? I remember back then I there was IVAO package, it had one folder with all models and liveries you had to copy it into your FSX Folder or something like that and it worked. Do we have such an option for MSFS either? I don't need any flightplan installed. I just want to see real airliner liveries according to the vatsim traffic.

I had the not so good surprise today of finding the old G1000 on my Porter front panel. A little investigation, in the Content Manager, showed me that the NXi was not installed (it was yesterday !) and there was a new version 9.2. Now, somebody will tell me that everybody knew that 😆 but there are may be some uninformed and non-discorded simmers who don't.

Just bought the Asobo Texan "almost prefect" as a stand alone product from MSFS Marketplace, great nice looking aircraft!😊😀 But there is no pilot visible in the cockpit...🙄 Anyone know why, and what I can do about it? Best regards Buspelle

Hi all, just did a testflight using this scenery and it is a mess, taxiways and runways popp in, somehow is the grass ground bleeding through on 50% of the tarmac and runways. What could be the issue? I have nothing installed in the region and there is no default VHHH I am aware of I could potentially uninstall. Anybody having similar troubles and a solution?

This tool allows to create an individual .vmr file which fits perfectly to the actual installed AIG Models and Liveries and you probably can create the most accurate vmr file so far. Everything worked fine so far with all relevant models, but the Triple Seven however is a little more challenging (except B778 and B779)... Does anyone know if it is possible to toggle the city labels off and on without accessing the menu? I .E. can a button be assigned to this task?

Hello all, first of all, normally I am not one of all these complainers and bashing people. I have had quite a lot of enjoying hours with this sim. But this today was a bit too much. I will put the current version of MSFS to a rest at least until a hotfix for the most urgent issues is out. I just had a flight with the Baron B58 from LEMI to LEIB in southeastern Spain, IFR lower levels. Live time, live weather. Yes, I verified my settings before flight to make sure that no setting were reset to "easy" or something else. So the other day I decided. Hey Bill, can't hurt to try AI Piloting just to see how it works and if it's even any good at it. WRONG EVERY-SINGLE-FLIGHT it's enabled again. Turn it off. Exit. Quit to desktop. Restart sim. Start flight.. It's enabled again Go to AI options, set piloting BACK to hard (since it always reverts to custom), save, exit sim. Restart. Start a flight. IT"S ENABLED AGAIN I Googled and see this is a problem dating back to AUGUST with no fix in sight. Despicable. It used to be with simming you fought addons being up to date with the sim. Sitting at EDFH in the CJ4 this morning, windy and very low clouds, I was programming the FMS - then looked up as a cloud bank blew right across the airport. Actually sat and watched it for a few minutes as they rolled in and over me, something I have never seen in a sim. Managed to get a clear spot for my takeoff roll. Absolutely mesmerising - despite it's many faults it can be amazing some times !! G

Some, fortunately less and less, are discarding the new sim as a sightseeing sim as if it was something bad. It is a sightseeing sim but also evidently more than that, no need to elaborate here. But I would claim that being a sightseeing sim is certainly not bad and not about eye candy only. I am flying right now the MV Porter in Northern Thailand and I am amazed yet again to see how this sim allows me to understand how rivers model the relief and the human interaction with the relief, villages and fields vs hills and forests,... It beats 30 mn on any Discovery channel ! Flying has always a purpose, of one sort or another. This is not one of the worst.…

OK, here are my own lessons learned and how I got things working. In Sim Settings: Aircraft Vehicle Type: Off AI Aircraft Traffic Density Slider: 0 Airport Vehicle Density: 0 Ground Aircraft Density: 0 Generic Plane Models Off and Off Issues: 1. if you have random traffic at the gates: The random aircraft I have pinpointed to Ground Traffic Density not being at 0 Apparently MSFS is using the AIG AI as Ground Traffic randomly. Hence the random liveries. **Setting Ground Traffic Density to Zero resolves this issue 2. "MY" issue is when I set that to 0 I have no traffic what-so-ever. AIG TC shows connecte…

I have been flight-simming for over twenty years, and at one time started taking flying lessons in a Cessna 172N until I ran out of flying lessons money. I ran FSX on my PC for many years, and then switched over to Prepar3D. I now run P3DV5.2. I am interested in MSFS 2020, because I liked what I saw in the previews, and I like the fact that the new MSFS has a dedicated support and development team.
