Well, Asobo was advertising to hire a "Mission Specialist" months ago, so yeah, I'll be surprised if there aren't missions at release time. Fr. August 6, 20205 yr Or maybe they will offer a mission/training DLC down the line. I could see myself buying those if they are decent. I used to love the lessons in the older versions like FS2000 or even '95. I never managed to complete the checkrides though, they were so hard.
August 6, 20205 yr the sdk does include a misson creator, so yes i expect and hope to see lotsa free missions eventually.

That would be fun. It's been a while since your wrote this so perhaps you already found what I found too: 3rd party quests and 'career mode'. - NeoFly offers bush flying missions. Performing well gives the opportunity to raise your rank, earn (game) money, buy planes, hire pilots, etc. - FSEconomy and OnAir are similar, but more geared to towards regular flying. I mostly use NeoFly as it's the easiest to get started with. If you want to be part of a community the other 2 are probably better options.

Its never really been advertised as a "learn to fly" software. It can be one of course, it can be as deep as you want it to be, wich i think, is a beautiful thing. I, for example, never do a flight without a real chart, be it vfr or ifr. But its just because i want (and can) add that layer of realism. There are a zillions pages of ressources to learn to fly, here, on youtube, on the web.

Thanks for the heads up, I've been using FSEconomy for a few years, I prefer free addons. R5 3600 - GTX 1070OC - 32GB 3200 - NVME - 3440x1440 160Hz - VR(Quest 2) GarbagePoster™
December 17, 20214 yr Hi. New on this forum. Sorry about renewing an old thread. I've taken a few flying lessons some years ago and plan to renew learning next year, so trying with a sim for now. In this context, not only MSFS does not have enough lessons, but IMHO those that are to be found are not very instructive. They use this strange grade/score system and provide little to no feedback, so that it's hard to understand what needs to be improved. That of course is a minor issue compared to the stability and performance issues I'm experiencing, but still, something that surprised me, again against the backdrop of the previous version, that, as I sent to remember, provided a much better instruction.
