Hi, I understand that MSFS natively initialises SimConnect or am I mistaken ? Has anyone activated SimConnect for use across a network to use 3rd party software on client PCs ? How different is installing it on MSFS from installing it on FSX (which was a pain) ? I haven't been successful yet in using 3rd party software across a network but the glaring exception of LittleNavMap proves it can be done, albeit with their own LittleNavConnect plug-in. An idiots guide to initialising SimConnect with MSFS would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hi all I have an interesting issue and I am not sure the reason why. I have a powerful PC and have MSFS set to ultra with a FPS limit of 30. I have an intel 11900K and a RTX 3090 with 32GB RAM. Both are set to overclock if required, At busy airports such as Heathrow and over London, my FPS can some times drop briefly to below 20 and seems to take a while to get back to 30. I put some monitoring on my GPU and CPU and neither go above 50% so it would appear I have lots of capacity there. My SSD is hitting 100% occasionally and my RAM is at 50% with a few higher spikes. I am wondering why I cannot maintain 30 FPS all the time, even in busy areas?

Nothing definitive here just 1 pilots observations and opinions. First I'll say both are great planes. The Cessna appeals to my twin side while the HJET appeals to my high side. The Cessnas avionics are spot on which is also the case of the HJETs. The big differentiation is in execution. IOW I can climb higher, faster and with less noise in the HJET. IOW a much cleaner long distance flight The Avionics in the HJET need some polish when WT gets to spend some time on the 3000 while the 414AW does well with the current PMS750. Flight wise I still prefer the quieter HJET but the 414AW does not disappoint with it's excellent sound set. I …

MSFS 2020 is not very accurate rendering seasonal textures. I live in the Yukon and in MSFS is rendering the mountains covered in snow and in reality there is next to no snow at all for this time of year.

Hi All, I just wanted to share my experience doing a long haul in the PMDG BBJ, as the title suggests. You can add a bunch of auxiliary fuel tanks in this variant that will give you about a 6,000nm range. Currently, this is by far the longest range available from any good payware aircraft. Today, I did a flight from BIKF (Keflavik, Iceland) to VRMM (Male, island in the Indian Ocean). The route was about 5,000nm and I needed about 70,000 pounds of fuel, which is just enough in this variant. Hi guys, I'm currently using FS ATC Chatter to play (old, not live) ATC from LiveATC based on where I'm flying. Does anyone know if there is something similar that can play live ATC audio from LiveATC based on your location/COM radios?

Bought the EMB110 on the Microsoft store in the game. It only has two liveries, both cargo. I downloaded a livery from the Flightsim.to site and extracted it to the Community folder per the instructions. But when I load the sim and select the EMB 110 this livery is not there. Any suggestions on what is wrong? Thanks

Not long to wait now, PRO-ATC/SR is now in internal Alpha testing. Firstly, we have no release date but hopefully it should not be very long before entering BETA. This is a NEW version and not an update and works also with MSFS2020. There are a lot of improvements and updates the most notable one is now PRO-ATC can now be voice controlled ATC. I’m noticing an issue with the 414, I can remove the control lock, but as soon as I go full throttle the control lock automatically comes back on. Anyone else noticing this issue or is it just me? I’m using the latest version.

Folks, With Orbx having a 40% fire sale, I was thinking of picking up a few of their airports. Particularly LaGuardia, Raleigh-Durham and Stuttgart. Anyone know how good their quality is? Ever since Orbx became a portal some of the stuff on there has been hit/miss. Cheers, -bbsmitz

Is it possible to make it behave like it does in P3D? The main complaint is that it vanishes and prevents me from keep clicking the CDU buttons, for instance. So that I have to move it slightly, it will reappear and only then I may continue clicking. P3D if memory serves me right it keeps showing as long as one keeps clicking or moving it. Also, is it possible to diminish the size of the pointer and/or make it look like the "normal" Windows pointer? Thanks in advance!

I enjoy the LVFR static aircraft package, but at KRNT and KBFI they pose a conflict with the excellent freeware offerings’ static planes. Is there a way to edit them away somehow? Thanks, Steve

Hi, I installed a new airport and opened addon linker afterwards. The tool came with an error that it could not read the path of that airport. I then uninstalled the airport again. The error remained and it turned out that the airport in question was indeed uninstalled but the empty folder remained and cannot be deleted. I tried the various tipps from the net like copying the folder with the same name and then deleting the original one or archiving it with the command to delete the archived data, nothing helps, this one folder cannot be deleted. The tool unblocker did not help as well. I could live with that but addon linker starts with the error and refus…

This started after todays SU10 update. About the size of a quarter. When the circle intersects a gauge or screen it shows it’s info tag. Never seen this before. Anyone else? -B

I am in two minds as if I should buy Inibuilds Heathrow, especially as it’s on sale. There is a really good comparison video that showed it against the Asobo version. Imo the ground textures of Asobos version, plus the control tower were much better. Inibuilds concrete looked too white, but the buildings were better overall and the night lighting is impressive. What do you think? Should I spend £18 for some small improvements or spend the money on a different airport?

Having installed MSFS shortly after its release in August 2020, I wanted to do a test flight, which I had also used frequently in FS 2004, in Pangnirtung (CYXP). CYXP was missing in MSFS, however, so my test flight failed. In the course of time I had searched for CYXP again and again, but the airfield was never included in MSFS. CYXP therefore fell into oblivion with me. In the meantime, I had installed Navigraph Navdata a few months ago and recently searched again for CYXP in Little Navmap. So in true sim fashion "all of sudden" I have this issue. If I fly closer to the buildings the correct texture appears which is really odd but this is what I see at altitude. I'm just North of Manchester here near Horwich. Oddly I turn the spitfire for a run in Australia yesterday and didn't see this issue. I am running the ORBX GB Central addon but never had this before. Any ideas?

I am trying to get to grips with VOR approaches in the Fenix A320. Everything almost works fine apart from the course: the AP won't intercept it and keeps on flying to the right of it. See screenshot. Anyone knows what I am missing here...? VOR35 into ENBR, course 350. Altitudes worked out fine using FPA but the course didn't. Not a huge problem, obviously, it's easily corrected, but I'd like to know where I went wrong. When should you enter the desired course on the navrad page? Maybe I entered it too early? And how can I force an intercept? I did watch this older video but it didn't help.
