I read some interesting comments about the quality and variety of MSFS freeware add-on quality, and also the variety of MSFS freeware lately. I thought I would double check these comments with the MSFS community here at Avsim to see if this is the case. Now that the chip shortage has begun to ease, and prices on high end GPU's are coming down, I bought an RX-6800-XT card last month, to replace the RX-5500-XT that I installed when I built this machine two years ago. So, it's great, I can finally use MSFS "High" and "Ultra" graphics settings and get 30 fps, EXCEPT at latitudes above about 85° North or South. Has anyone else noticed this? Hi Everyone, One of my 'frustrations' with flight sim (any flight sim) is the loss of emersion when you have to grab your mouse or keyboard, scroll away from looking out the window to adjust things like auto pilot settings or turning on landing lights, seat belt signs etc. I'm keen to build a panel at home which replicates some of these common features. I fly FBW A320NX but more recently PMDG 737. I'm not yet looking at the FMC/MCDU, just other common switches and panels. I'm also not trying to replicate the layout yet. I have complained about and put the Aerosoft CRJ in the hanger for a long time shortly after purchasing it upon release. Now I have better tools including the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo plus the X-touch mini. I made it a goal to get most of the important functions readily available as the glareshield and other bits are difficult to use for a single pilot using monitors. Mission accomplished. After reading instructions and viewing a few videos, I gave it a go once again. It took a few trials and OS moments to get this thing right. Now it is not going to win any contests making turns from the route programmed into the FMS(C) but it will finally settle on course. …

I'm currently on a 27" 1080p single-monitor display, but am building a new PC rig around an RTX 3080 and I think my ~8 y.o. LG 27" will serve well as a second monitor for LNM, Discord, etc. etc. Is there enough "pixel density," or whatever the correct term is, in a 32" 1440p/165Hz monitor, to look really nice? I'm over 50 and my eyesight is not getting any younger, that's certain! 😁 Thanks for any advice.

After 3 or 4 hours of flying, I am still finding msfs crashing with the above warning. After 2 years and countless fixes and updates why has this issue, which I am assuming is a memory leak not been fixed? It's not as if it hasn't been mentioned hundreds of times now. Has the sim update beta addressed it?

I just bought my first add on payware aircraft. The much talked about Kodiak 100 by SimWorks. I have never added any add on's on msfs and this will be my first try at it. I have looked at several video's on this subject but there are all confusing to me because seems like everyone has a different way to install addon's. They talk about a community folder and and this" %ADDON% which I have no idea that is? I may have spelt that wrong? I could not find a community folder? .......... Things were sooooooo much easier with FSX and prior MS flight sims because all you had to drop an addon aircraft in the aircraft folder....easy peasy! Anyway, could someone help give the the …

Really enjoy the C414 but my cruise speed is way short. All I get is a GS around 160-170 knots. Am I missing something?

Hello: My FS2020 installation is from the Steam platform and I have been using it for almost 2 years. Last week when I activated the FS short cut icon the activation started and then stalled due to a popup page appearing. This popup page displayed a Microsoft Account Page requesting a password. I have no idea as to why this page appeared all of a sudden. This never happened before and it is blocking the loading prosses. I do not know how to get rid of this page. Any ideas\help would be appreciated. Below is a screen shot. Herman

So I've only just been able to get back onto my sim PC to access the marketplace, just in time before the summer sale ends, or so I thought, as it's over apparently. That surely should have ended at 11:59 pm today, PDT I assume since they always reference that? There's no mention of any specific time anywhere, it just says it ends on July 31st and it still is July 31st so where's the logic in ending it at a random time around 11 am PDT, not even halfway through the day? Maybe I'm not seeing something obvious here.
