Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

When I select Flight Training from the home screen menu, all I get is a picture; there are no selections to select. Anyone know what I should do to see the selections? If I look at the Content menu it shows they are all installed and up to date.

A bush flyer site mentioned Jumpstreet Radio. But it works anywhere in MSFS. JS knows where you are flying and pops up window with local radio stations (AM and FM). You hear normal MSFS audio and also the radio playing at the same time. For instance in PNG you might tune it Port Moseby radio.

The pre-release photos for the Carenado model show a dated flight panel. I have not seen any interior photos of the SWS model but can only assume it will have a more advanced cockpit environment. Does anyone know of the panel specifics to be modelled in the SWS version? The Carenado model is due out in September and I think the SWS PC-12 version is several months away.

So two years ago today, August 18, 2020, MSFS was released. And what a wild roller coaster ride it has been, with some ups, but also some downs. With the latest SU beta build (beta build 1.27.14.0), a lot of folks are also unhappy that DirectX 12 is not running as good as the first beta build, possibly because in the first beta build, there were some visual artifacts for some people. Hi All. Well, I've finally given in and bought MSFS 2020 premium delux addition. It took me about 6 hours to get it onto my machine but here's the bummer. Every time I try to start it, it hangs on searching for updates and does'nt move on. Before coming here I have tried various problem solvers that I researched on line but no joy. I don’t know if this exists, but I’d love to start operating in an area… let’s say Papau New Guinea (for example) 🙂 and use an add-on that would have me running supplies or people or whatever to and from remote areas. Hi, a big problem: My hardware settings will not be copied and named. For example naming it to Fenix A320 and then configure the throttle. When leaving Control Options after settings it will go back to default. Of course I save before leaving Control Options. It has been working fine for more than a year, but suddenly it’s not working. I also tried with nothing in Community folder, but still not working. It means I can’t use different airplanes without configure the hardware each time. I have reinstalled MSFS2020 twice. Today I had 3 flights from PAYA to PANC.. On all three flights when I got within about 15 miles from PANC at around 10,000 FT, when I selected a lower altitude, the Autopilot disconnected with the associated alarm signal telling me the AP was off. Then the TOGA/Lock kicked in and the aircraft started climbing. I could not stop the climb, couldn't reengage the AP no matter what I did. Now yesterday I purchased the ORBX Alaska Mesh, so I figured maybe that was the problem, so I uninstalled it, in between the failed flights. same problem, so it wasn't the mesh. I'm seeing many airport objects (signs, lamps, vehicles etc.) appearing and disappearing in close proximity. Particularly, on landing, many airport details pop in very late. That's why I've started to play with the Object LOD values in the sim but also increased it above its gui limit of 200 by changing it to 300-400 via usercfg.opt. I've never seen any significant change in what distance airport objects appear/disappear. So my question arises, for what kind of objects is this O-LOD slider good for?

Hi: I'm trying to learn this airplane. I'm using the steam version of MSFS if it makes a difference and mods from flightsim to and working title. Couple of things please: -How do you change the cockpit display fuel readout from gal to lbs? -I can't turn any of the exterior lights off. When I press the overhead panel, they just remain in the on position. I normally don't use offline AI traffic, but thought I'd load up a session to see if it improved any. However, I'm not getting anything, even at 100%. No traffic appears whatsoever. Can't recall anything I might have changed or tweaked. Anyone seeing anything similar?

How can you delete options to the Widget (pop up toolbar/menu) at the top of the flying screen? I'm not asking how to make visible or hide an existing widget option icon, but rather how to delete (remove) an existing one from the list of available options. It's interesting to me that there is not a single thread on the front page of this forum (might depend on your thread/page I guess) about the 800. The "800 is out" thread is on page 2; but isn't hot. 12 pages. Bah, shorty. But not a single thread about how fab the new 800 is. This, after we saw a bunch of posts not long ago asking the Mods to put the Fenix threads into a separate sub-forum, since the front page was "overwhelmed" with Fenix stuff. When I turn yoke to the left it goes right and same the other way. The same thing on the yokes pitch as well. Push forward nose pitches up and pull back nose goes down? Any ideas? Thanks. By the way this just started and I have not made any adjustments with the yoke.

I don't know if what I want to do is possible in MSFS. I fly exclusively vintage GA planes from small bush strips and small remote airports. I want to choose an exclusive list of vintage planes from my add-ons as the only ai traffic that appears at those locations. I have seen several utilities that seem to concentrate on airliners and particular liveries, but it is the models themselves that I want to choose while excluding several MSFS default planes, such as airliners as AI. Does anyone have any suggestions on whether this is possible and how to go about it?
