Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Hi: I REALLY need to use pause at TOD and other pause functions. But why in MSFS does it screw up the airplanes so bad? Un-paused a flight today (PMDG 737) and the airplane violently pitched down and kept stalling. It also used all the fuel while pause. I was using PMDG's pause at TOD and later in the flight I used the sims built in pause. Thanks.

Hi, This weekend I will install FS2020 to a new computer. I want to transfer as many settings as possible from the old installation to the new one, especially the joystick settings. I would be very happy if any of you can inform me which configuration file(s) I should copy from the old to the new computer. (The TCA stick and quadrant settings are most important for me, if those can be copied over, it will save me a lot of time going thru the hassle of assigning all these settings anew 🙂 ) Thanks a lot for your help.

Like many of you, I often visit the SimHanger YouTube channel for good information about the progress of MSFS (and other sims). The material on this channel is of especially high quality. But in the hundreds of times I've visited the channel, I never realized something until this evening -- when someone posted a comment on the channel pointing out this fact. The SimHanger channel name has always been misspelled. An airplane is parked in a hangar, not a hanger. As the commenter mentioned, a sim hanger would be where the pilot hung up his shirt. I don't mean to be petty here. I just thought it was funny.

Is there any way to customise these in the World Map? It seems the airports in "Recommended" have no logic and only holds 3 in the "History", A longer History would be useful as most of us tend to fly in certain regions of the world I would think and go back to the same airport a lot. Is there anything in UserCfg.opt ?

The PMDG installation includes a BBJ2 with SSW in the house colours, and I've been trying to set up a new livery with that model. However, it has not been working, and I'm not sure what I've overlooked. If anyone has created such a livery, I'd be glad to hear from you!

Hi i decided to reinstall msfs after not using it for six months did a fresh install. started it up got the opening screen asking what setting i wanted and did all that saved it. So i went and did some flying and finish shut the sim down. came back later and i got the opening screen again asking me what setting i wanted to us also it didn't my joystick settings. i have uninstalled it and reinstalled it's still the same. is there a fix for this?

Big surprise today. I was late into a 3 hour flight in the Milviz C310 using the TDS GTN750xi with Bert's great mod (thank you Bert) on a flight plan in NAV/GPD mode and had been following it nicely, without fail, at 11,000. I came up on another slight turn nut the AP kept me going straight. It drew a segmented magenta line to an airport that was not in the path of my flight plan. Nothing I could try would get me back AP guidance on my flight plan. I worked with it for likely 45 minutes attempting to determine what was happening, and why. Never did. MSFS finally gave up and I got a CTD. No wonder after all the interactions I made. After the flight I researched…

Hi guys, at present I use the GoFlight LGT II for my flaps/gear... I am considering buying a desktop aviator cessna flaps module to go into my home cockpit... The Go flight gives me unlimited flap notches according to aircraft type wheres the desktop aviator is only 3 based on the real plane.... I only fly up to twins (King air 350)...how many aircraft have more than 3 notches of flaps at that level and less... Dave

For those that use Simbrief with their downloader, which loads flight plans right into MSFS, the server must be down today. You can't log onto the Downloader.

When you fly into an area of the world you are not familiar with you see various poi. But, if you are not familiar with the city or country. I have no idea what I'm looking at or its significance. Can someone give me any idea on how to approach this? Yes, I see the names of the poi. Thank You, Bill McCracken

I’ve not yet flown at locations with poor air quality and smog… does the sim simulate those kinds of conditions? In real life, I was once trapped in New Delhi for a few days due to oppressive smog that killed visibility. Many places in China can be bad as well (like Beijing). Is that kind of thing captured by live weather?

I'm still having an old issue where my logbook is never updated, and the take off and landing locations are never updated. The only last resort I can think of is a full reinstall. Should I bother going that route?

Hi, My mouse recently start to vanish when moving around in the VC. It happens on the PMDG737 and in the Fenix A320 at least. I cant seem to get it back without restarting . I have seen other trying to use ESC and resume but that doesnt work either for me. Anyone else who have this issue ? Thanks Michael Moe

I must say there is something that appealed to me with antique B247 that also triggered me to get F13! There are two version classic and modern replica. Classic comes with kneepad option and ground services of the era (no need for GSX pro lol) German engineering in the house! I bought PMDG 737 800 to day. I have been flying GAaircrafts for a while, but the 737 is my first airliner. I have been flying airliners in P3dv.5.3 a long time, and I have bought some hardware as TQ, MCP/EFIS and a CP flight 737 CDU. It seems that most of the hardware are updated for FS2020, but the 737CDU needs that the CDU window in the sim can be undocked and moved to the external CDU. Is it possible to undock windows in FS2020, and if so,how do I do it? Tor Arild Danielsen
