  1. Chaotic is not around to post this looks like, and David got his earlier post deleted, so I'm going to give it a try ... just keep in mind that I ain't no ChaoticBeauty :) https://www.flightsimulator.com/september-8th-2022-development-update/ The full release of Sim Update 10 is on its way, slated for next week! While we are pinpointing the exact day of release, our team is currently adding in our final changes and updates for SU10. Beta users can expect one final test build coming shortly. We have also been closely working with NVIDIA regarding our DX12 optimizations and we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update that will help one of the …

Just wanted to report my experiences: had heavy stuttering in SU10 beta 3 and beyond. On Windows 11. Tried for about 5 weeks all kind of settings and tweaks. Did full clean install of Windows 11 and the sim. No effect. Finally made decision today to go back to Windows 10. And.. I got my sim back! Smooth 60 fps in 2D 4K on ULTRA. And smooth almost without stuttering in Reverb G2. So: allways consider downgrading to Windows 10 in case of performance issues.

  4. Cockspur, new developer on MSFS, has announced the development of a new business aircraft. The Cessna Citation Mustang, will be the second Cockspur aircraft, which recently launched the Ukrainian Aeroprakt A-22 for MSFS. You all remember the fabulous bird of Flight1 released for FSX. We will follow this development. https://www.facebook.com/Cockspur/videos/1003950306918524

Hello all! I recently introduced myself in the new member area, and figured this would be my next stop. I am going to start piecing together a flight simulator (hope to have it done before the holidays). My plan is MSFS 2020. My initial thought, is a 60" TV. Within a couple months, I want to add about a 40" on each side for a fairly realistic feel. A couple questions for you; 1) My reasoning for a 60" (maybe 55", maybe 58", maybe 60") is to somewhat simulate a real cockpit. I plan to have 2 seats (left/right), and 1 yoke/rudder pedal set on the left. My question with this is, on MSFS 2020, in lets say the Citation CJ4, is it doable to have the entire pan…

During start up the sim stopped on a page wanting me to redownload it and telling me I had insufficient drive space to accomplish this. Being unable to resolve this i found in the settings section the Microsoft flight simulator page available selection of defaults, terminate, reset, with sub headings of repair and reset, followed lastly by uninstall. So I selected repair and it prompted me to to the entire 100+ gig download. Sim starts fine now but does not see what is in the community folder. Everything that was present before the issue is still present in the community folder. Not sure how to proceed from here. Any suggestions would be gratefully r…

I've been out of the loop for a while and am looking for a good ATC add-on for VFR flights. Everything I find (Pilot2ATC, etc.) seems geared towards filing IFR flight plans. I want a program where I can fly around and contact the tower of an airport, request full stop or touch and gos, flight following, etc. Is there anything available, free or payware? The default ATC is honestly not bad, I just hate having to use the keyboard and constantly press the Scroll Lock to bring up the menu. Is there a way to use voice recognition to control default MSFS ATC? I use VATSIM a lot but of course most airports I go to do not have a TWR controller, and CTR always seems too …

  11. Hi there, We have a couple of hydraulic updates for you today. Coming soon to experimental! Hydraulic fluid dynamics In this first video, you can see how plane acceleration will impact fluid displacement in hydraulic reservoirs, making it oscillate and respond to plane movements. This will impact readings from the gauge sensor, which is placed on the side of the reservoir. https://streamable.com/zg0th0 Negative G's While the A320 is certified to accept some negative G peaks, this will still impact the gauge sensor, showing abnormal levels. If you fly it like you stole it (remain in negative G conditions for too long), you won't …

I've read a few older threads about this, but wondered what the latest thoughts are. I have been using TrackIR for a couple of years, but I often find it doesn't work at various points during the day due to sunlight. I live on a narrowboat so sunlight gets in from portholes on the sides as well as from the front and back. Even if I cover the portholes in front of and behind the PC, the sunlight can often stop the TrackIR working correctly (can't expect my wife to sit in the dark!). I have read the Tobii Eyetracker does not suffer as much from external light. Apart from working in brighter conditions, does the eye tracking feature give any extra immersion over the…

Hello. In two different flights the same thing happened to me twice. After about two hours of flight (from SPSO to SCDA with the TurboArrow IV Just Flight) suddenly it was no longer 9 am local time but full night (about ten hours before). Something turned off the real time mode, which I reactivated from the weather menu. After about twenty minutes again instantaneously it was night. Has something similar happened to anyone?

  15. I am noticing that these odd USR/USER waypoints are sometimes automatically added into my flight plan in either the SID or STAR section and it's really annoying as to what they are??? They can't be deleted and it seems like this a bug. I have researched and see that others are facing the same issues. I fly mostly in the TBM 930 with wt3000 mod and the FBWA320NX. If you guys are also seeing these waypoints, feel free to UPVOTE on this thread so that Asobo can be aware of the problem and potentially fix it. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/random-user-waypoints-set-by-the-system-flight-plan-logic-failure-different-planes/306962

hi all, this started a couple of days ago, when on landing rollout regardless of the airport, the aircraft starts yelling master warnings etc, " flaps, spoilers not set, set V1 speeds" etc, it thinks we are about to take off and we are not config set for take-off, when actually we have just landed!! ?? dot know why this has started to happen all of a sudden?

  18. Good day simmers, looking to see what people’s thoughts are on orbx skypark or air hauler 2. There are so many interesting and small tucked away places to fly in msfs that I’m looking for a tool that will provide airports that I would not typically choose in msfs, as well as looking for purpose within the sim. anyone use any of these products? Would really appreciate some opinions before buying. thanks

Been dealing with annoying panning stutters with a good frame rate for a while and think I solved the issue so I thought I would pass along. if you suffer from panning stutters with otherwise good FPS, take a look at your “free look momentum” setting in the camera settings. Mine was at 50 and after brining it to zero the annoying stutter is gone.

What going on. I fly daily/man year user. As of a couple days ago the FS2020 was loading as usual and then I heard an VERY LOUD BEEPING ALARM for about 5 seconds. It went off again a couple more times while loading. Quick flashing visual stating GPU heating alert. Never has happened. After loading and flying it just went off a couple more times. I dont know what this is. Only happens when using FS2020. I downloaded the PREVIOUS driver....still alarm went off. Has anyone else ever experience this? Solution? This morning I am going to try Stable A32NX and also try deleting the new aircraft I downloaded a coujple days ago A330 (which I have not even opened yet but is in the…

Has any one got the autopilot to engage and hold the selected vertical speed? When I try this, the vertical speed drops all the way to zero (or below) before slowly working itself up to the vertical speed I selected on the KAS 297. Needless to say, terrain can get in the way when this happens.. Can someone give me some tips on how best to manage this situation?

I think I’ve finally settled on Pilot2ATC for an ATC add on - after a lot of research and discussion here. Now I’m turning my attention to AI Traffic. Tonight I loaded up AIG and installed the Air Canada livery and then struggled to get the sim to start with this and my YVR scenery and after several crashes and restarts, I got it to work. It seemed ok, but the work involved and the poorly optimized software just turns me off. So I’m thinking of buying Simple Traffic for now, just to have some decent liveries on the default live AI traffic and wait and see what FS Traffic looks like. I feel like I’m being blasphemous by thinking of using Simple Traffic, b…
