Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020/2024)

Every time I go to a window state and not full screen I get CTD. Seems to work until I resize a window and then the CTD.

Not sure if its the latest FBW update or MSFS update, but the last 10 % of the progress bar takes about 4 mins to complete and then the sim just hangs. The scenario doesn't actually sporn. Anyone else having this issue? Have tried the stable, development and experimental versions of the A320, no difference.

Can you bind the GPS knob turns to a Joystick roller in the default cheapo GPS units? I just bought this $200 Gladiator Evo SCG Premium, and it has one of those "constant rotating" things, just wondering if that is possible?

Is it possible to create purely cinematic flights in FS2020 for console? Basically ones where the AI flies the route from start to finish without user intervention, and the camera just cycles through external view angles? After finishing a world tour of the northern hemisphere the other day, I've already started to plan for a new tour focusing on the southern hemisphere. Sitting at EHAM pmdg 737-8 only getting 30fps. to me this seems really low id expect to be getting atleast 45fps. Settings are at ultra 1440p, TAA no DLSS as i find it blurry. These test results were derived by and posted on the MSFS forum by azmidi. The test was done in VR. But the chart should be very applicable for a PC monitor screen as well. Hi all, I am using a Saitek Yoke and pedal combo and have purchased the full version of FSUIPC7 to get some better control over the axes, as calibration is a bit loose with the default Windows / MSFS settings. I am confused how I am supposed to configure FSUIPC to use to control my axes. The FSUIPC manual states "IMPORTANT: Before making any assignments in FSUIPC, you should be sure that the same axes are not being assigned in MSFS itself" I added Aileron settings to FSUIPC and then removed the assignment in MSFS. I then restarted MSFS. I can see the numbers change in FSUIPC when I move the yoke, but it does not control the aircraft. The onl…

Looked all over and can't find it, anyone know what the SPD button on the autopilot panel in the Kodiak does. It is located right under the Flight Level Change button?

The thing I love about MSFS is the whole world is our playground when it comes to places to fly. I watched this video this afternoon by AV ANGEL and she is flying in New Zealand, which is a place I would have never thought about flying to. It is fantastic looking. have been testing msfs2020 lately, planning to switch to msfs2020 from P3D. I use 3 75" 4K screens, and the graphics are spectacular. However, the clouds seem to have a very low resolution, they are blur and pixelated/grainy. This is very visible on the big screens. Is there any way to get better cloud quality? I have volumetric clouds on max and I have tried the "sharpening" and "filmgrain" tweaks, but they do not seem to make any difference.

So, been away from flight sims for a while, but once SU10 gets out, and I wrap up a couple of other thibgs, I want to do a long VFR tour. I'm trying to figure out how to set up MSFS right for it. My flight sim background is mostly WWII flight sims, so I'm completely comfortable with steam gauges, and actually have no idea how to even use an aviation GPS, and for this, I don't want to use them. Probably going to be doing this in either the V-tail Bonanza, or the F6F Hellcat. Haven't quite decided. So things I'm trying to figure out are 1) Is there a way to save where you landed, for later? I’m curious to see if anyone has seen this at all, every once in a while I get some screen tearing, it’s always at the top of the monitor, maybe about 4 inches from the top and appears when I pan around, it’s like a strip of multiple cubes across the monitor horizontally (from one end to the other) is best I can describe it, and the strip is about 2 inches wide vertically. What’s odd is that sometimes it doesn’t appear for a whole sim session, and sometimes it does, and if it appears it’s there for the whole flight. It’s probably like 50/50 on when it shows it’s ugly face. Curious if anyones had this issue happen? And if not wonder if there are any opinions on what c…

I have a RTX 3090 (see sig) and a 32" 1080p and have had great performance in SU9. Will probably be even better with SU10 DX12.. I run the sim at a notch below ULTRA and FPS locked to 30.. it rarely drops below 30, that too, only in JFK sorta airports with AI traffic.. But have always had a nagging feeling I'm not getting much out of my 3090.. so looking at a 43" LG 4K TV.. my 2nd monitor is 1080p 21" which I use for charts, etc. Can the 3090 handle 4K with fully loaded payware addons, HIGH/ULTRA settings? I run a 10900K @ 5.3 gigs, but suspect I might be CPU limited.. my GPU sleeps at 60C/30% most of the time.. I'm asking this question in the context …

I have just been watching a 'cold and dark' start up tutorial on youtube - and on the external view, I could see luggage being loaded and a fuel truck refuelling the A320. Is this something which can be activated within The Fenix (as you can with the PMDG 737) or is it an external programme?

When using FSFO on B737 and I right click in the cockpit to pan, I get "gear up gear dn" I do not have the mouse click linked to anything. I have the FSFO not control the gear. Any ideas?

All, I have just purchased this, and I am thus far unimpressed. My Voice Recognition works just fine on other apps, Windows and Cortana and yet is practically unrecognised by Pro-ATC SR. Further, when I cancel SR and simply respond to ATC manually, the program fails to respond properly. It is as if it simply recognises nothing and is unusable. I assure you that everything is set up entirely correctly. Anyone had similar problems. I wish I had purchased something else tried and tested. I am furious for want of a better word
